I think it's a strong statement regarding Dr. MacArthur's teaching when Dr. Lawson is sitting there taking notes as well. I've enjoyed both of these men and their ministries for several years and they are two of the strongest expositors I've ever heard. Thanks for posting this, it is a great help to a bi-vocational pastor of a small congregation.

I am highly inspired in my personal study of Expository Preaching when I see Dr. Lawson actively, attentively listening, and taking notes. Everything that he has mentioned here I learned about in Bible College and I went to a Pentecostal Bible College. In Bible College Expository preaching was emphasized by most of my instructors and the Theologians. Very important to be able to accurately understand and know what God is disclosing in His Word.

Great teaching; watched this and part one and am very grateful that this was posted. I will continue to go through these lectures; it is a blessing from God to hear good teaching that honors, explains, and glorifies the person and word of Jesus Christ our Lord. I live on the other side of the U.S. on the East Coast and I can't get to this college, but it is great that I can "sit in" on RUclips and take notes. Thank you again for posting and continue to glorify the Lord in all things.
Am the only women here this is a great teaching for my self am so grateful for God for Dr MacArthur for bringing the bible to the front. I been in that movement where is about the spirit speaking a new thing healing teaching and all that, but I felt empty. Now my spirit is awaken and the truth set me free.
valentina morales I am another woman here :-). The older women should teach the younger. How can we teach the younger women without knowing and sharing God’s Word only, rather than feelings and personal beliefs. We also need to teach the young women to only look to God’s Word for answers. We need to teach them and model to them how to do that. May you be blessed as you dig into the word, writing it on your heart, and thus being a model for other women.

Excellent insight into the reasoning behind "Expository Preaching". Truly, God's Glory is revealed by using His Word "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God..." 2 Tim 3:16. What an vital role we have in preaching God's Word, empowered by the Holy Spirit "Study to show yourself approved..."2 Tim 2:15, "not by might, not by power but by His Spirit" Zechariah 4:6. In essence, we are empowered for His Glory:-)

On this these two principles hang all the Law and prophets. & witness to them through Practical LOVE. This will please the Lord more than Having a Doctorate of Divinity.

John, one thing women cld be in this class too who love teaching God's word at women's conferences/Sunday schools, the mission fields. Why are women excluded if they have no desire to be pastors but r only interested in teaching the Word of God. Wld like an answer, please
Because there is no setting in which they are allowed to preach the Word.
@@joshuatheo1419 yes they must teach younger women. Women must be washed with the word by there husbands. So they must know the word so they can pass the gospel correctly and teach where scripture commands them to teach.

Yes, three yet one, God the Father is not the Son, nor is He the Holy Spirit, Jesus is not the Holy Spirit, nor the Father, the Holy Spirit is not the Father, nor the Son, yet God is ONE, God is not without the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, the three make the ONE whole. In Gen. God said let US make man in OUR image, He did not say in my image, God always give full deity to each member of the God head, there is an awesome look at this when Jesus gets baptized, also in gen.18:2 Abraham bowed himself, here is the Lord. I have to stop for now, but will be happy to help you with more study if you truly wish to learn about the God of the Bible, Blessings

Probably you misunderstood the point. One Person is not the same as One God. God is THREE Persons, not One. Three persons yet one deity!
One person yet three, is what you are referring to? You are saying God is not a person? He is a person, a God person, yet three persons that make up the one God, If you are looking to split hairs and make it something other than a hair it is still a hair, in God's case He is one yet three, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, God the Father is a person, God the Son is a person, God the Holy Spirit is a person, It is very safe to say God is a person.

I hate topical preaching now. I used to think it was good, but it vastly destroys and dilutes the truth of the word of God. Expository seems to give the most full truth and understanding of the gospel.
And now when He had taken the scroll, the 4 living creatures and the 24 elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the Prayers of the Saints.( DOCTRINE)
Now, as I looked at the living creatures, behold, a wheel was on the earth beside Each Living Creature with ITS 4 faces: ( Matthew, Luke and Mark :)...lol
THEN a voice came from the book of Revelation' saying
" Praise OUR God, all You His Servants and those who fear Him or not , both small and great"".

Love Macarthur. However his view on infant deaths is wrong and no biblical. It's inconsistent with his own worldview that God predestined some for wrath and some for glory. No where in scripture do we see that all of the unborn babies who die are predestined for glory. God predestined before the foundation of the world those whom he would elect and those who he would not. There is no age of accountability. All have sinned. All are "sinful at birth", and "in sin did our mothers conceive us." Infant in the womb are no different. Before Esau and Jacob were born God said "Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated". Quite frankly I think the Bible is quite clear on this issue.
Are you saying that infants aborted in their womb before even drawing breath go straight to hell?
Reading that comment makes me think John MacArthur is right.
