The one thing that puzzled me was my brother was in the Navy stationed in Guam he came back to port and she was at the port when he got off. One thing I agree with is the fear of bad English. When I first met my wife's family, no one would talk to me because they were all afraid of sounding bad. Wow, this is SOOOO Spot on! I met my Filipina sweetheart in the USA, had never dated Pinays before, but it's WONDERFUL! I wish I had years ago! We are both around 60, two marriages each and grown kids, worked overseas, and don't want to go out and date lots of people. She is a great cook, loving woman and 100% jealous when we are around her female friends!🤣🤣

  • @furtherdefinitions1
    @furtherdefinitions1 7 месяцев назад +20

You don't need to look like a Hooters girl, you are fine the way you are. Now, having said that, I can tell you from personal experience that my Filipina is dedicated to the relationship in ways I never had with other women in the past. The level of attention to my well-being is beyond my previous experience. When I met her, she had a beautiful 4 year old daughter and had been abandoned by the real father when she was just a baby, because his family made him marry another woman. Apparently for some reason, they didn't like my Filipina. Well, their loss was my gain. I helped put the daughter through school, which honestly was not a large expense, and she studies hard and wants to be a nurse. Now she calls me daddy and she is growing into a really beautiful lady and she got a scholarship to a special school. My Filipina has done a great job raising her despite the obstacles, financial and social that she faced. She even bypassed opportunities to work overseas so she wouldn't leave her daughter behind. I guess what is most gratifying is that she never forgets to remind me every day how she feels about me. Her daughter too is always thanking me for taking care of her and her mom and that she owes me a lot. I say they owe me nothing because I'm repaid every day with love and kindness. They both are always saying they love me. I never forget to return the sentiment. Can a man ask more than that from life? If there is a downside, it is canceled by the love and devotion I am experiencing.

Insecurity in a partner is an issue for me, but I realize that it's not just about her being insecure, it's about all of the other things that her being insecure usually bring with it. In my experience, an insecure woman tends to show her insecurity through unpleasant displays of jealously and anger and pouting (tampo). One of the most important things to me it have have peace in a relationship, and I don't find it peaceful to be assailed by constant bouts of jealousy, anger, and pouting. I draw a line from all of these things back to insecurity and try to address them all by either avoiding insecure women or helping her to feel secure. Although my attempts to cure women's insecurities have all failed so far.

@@TheFilipinaPea I think that you're right about that. I'm fairly certain that if the insecure woman doesn't decide to deal with her insecurity for herself, that there's nothing that a man will be able to do to cure it. But this raises an interesting question... How does a guy (who doesn't want to deal with the peace destroying side effects of insecurity) go about finding a Filipina (or any woman) who has already dealt with her insecurities? Or is there a way that an insecure Filipina can mitigate the side effects of her insecurity? You said in your last video (where you were interviewed for a change) that you want to give peace to a man in your relationship, and you have also said that insecurities among Filipinas is virtually universal. So how do you reconcile the insecurities that you're struggling with (as a Filipina) with your desire to give peace in a relationship?

If you think Americans speak proper English (and I am an American), you are sadly confused. The use of the English language in this country has declined drastically in the last few decades, as the schools move away from teaching the language, in favor of more emphasis on "diversity". If the average Filipino has the English skills of Ms. Pea, they are far ahead of the average American.

Fluency in a language entails more than just oral use of that language.

Because I was aware of the jealousy issue with Philippinas, having learned it from this channel and others, I knew once I met a girl I knew I like and believed I could potentially spend years ahead together....I sat her down VERY early on and had the discussion of jealousy and said flat out! It is the number one deal breaker and she would be fired on the spot as a future wife for doing acts of jealousy, my little sweet Asawa actually made the right choice by NOT acting out on jealousy. Making it clear I'm a "hugger" and I don't discriminate on young old or even some of my men friends that she can expect I may go in for a hug! To top that off I'm 6'3" 240lbs which is a big boy in the Philippines and certainly doesn't go un noticed when that happens... hahhahah. All that being said she has handled my friendliness and kindness very well and has shown very little to no jealousy so far...
So in my opinion, make some rules, talk about it early and move on if you find a crazy jealous one... just like that CRAZY one on 90 day fiance show...she is shaking her ass for the camera and posting that garbage while being very jealous to that poor kid! When their that jealous it's because they are the one to worry about!

Early on in our relationship my girlfriend was so afraid I was going to leave her! She had a bad relationship with an American before, and I assured her often that I was going to be there thru thick and thin! When it comes to English, early on in our relationship my girlfriend would talk extremely fast and sometimes I would miss something she said so I would just nod! After she became more and more comfortable her English is as good as mine! Same with her family! Her sister and nephew initially didn't say too much to me English wise, but it only took a couple of weeks before they really opened up! My most interesting encounter was when I went to greet her friends with a hug! They looked so shocked! They were expecting a handshake and here comes a hug!

Philippine women are unique in nature by heritage, family relations and religion. If a man understands to adjust as she is adjusting to your nature I think it is necessity. Any person can be a little neurotic, insecure in relationships. Thais have the strong feeling of “face” about as close to machismo in southwestern U.S. To Americans not telling the truth when questioned in Thai society is to save face - equate that as showing a lack of knowledge - is to lose self honor (face). To Americans that is lying when to a Thai it is “saving face”.

Of course. My most interesting difference is mixing metric and US customary. Filipinas use inches if small, then meters and km for larger distance. I asked when they use which system, like inches if less than a meter? They don't realize they were doing than and have no idea when they switch to inches. It's like Tagalog and English gets mixed. Newer words, like tech words they don't bother to create a new Tagalog and instead just use English. They'll be speaking English and start mixing in Tagalog. Many languages do this but never heard it to this degree.

Love your humor that you use in your videos! Good balance of adult humor while still being traditional.
Of the things you mentioned, the toughest thing to deal with is the refusal to be honest and take responsibility.
As to the question your heading posed, Filipinas are not too much different from other women and yes they are lol. All women have the same needs before indoctrination steps in. The security and other female needs are universal. Here in the west though, the ladies are indoctrinated at an early age toward feminism, so they figure out a way to force themselves away from the natural, traditional ways and needs. The other factors such as environment, poverty or riches, culture, and supply are certainly where alot of the Filipina behavior comes from, i believe. You explained that very well with the opportunity knocking reference.
Some Filipinas still believe in traditional marriage values like the bible teaches and that is so beautiful. Like Proverbs says, a rare treasure.
The showering of affection that you spoke of is a rare blessing. It's beautiful. So long as it doesn't turn into psycho sabotage from the jealousy aspect 😂 jealousy is natural, to some extent. God is a jealous God and we are made in His image, so there will be some measure of jealousy that's natural. I can't criticize someone for being made in God's image, unless it is taken so far to the point of destroying the relationship.

It’s little strange to me listening to someone that speaks better English than a large portion of Americans, saying Filipinas are shy because of their English.I know not all speak English as well. So I get it.
“Image is everything” applies to Americans as well. I knew a girl that lived in a “ posh”apartment building but had absolutely no furniture and slept on the floor. But she could brag about where she lived.

Yes, in general, no man knows what's on a women's mind, women are from Venus, men are from Mars, and the classic is that men like to put things in little boxes while using one box at a time while women are so intertwined and connected. But you gave some useful hints on what you guys are thinking and acting with our cultural differences, especially the issue of saving face in the East. Been married to a Filipina for 20 yrs. There have been rocky moments but we've managed to keep it together. The secret to our success? I decided early in the relationship, do I want to be right, or do I want to be happy? I choose happy 😊

This video was great, and timely (for me)! Because I have never talked to a Filipina before but -- after having watched you for some time -- I am getting ready to take the plunge and join the Christian Filipina website to start conversing with some. Thanks a million for your invaluable Filipina insight!! I won't be needing my water wings now, I'm confident to just jump right in. I hope there's a relationship lifeguard on duty (haha). 🏊‍♂️👙

You really have gotten good at production - professional quality now. I have over a decade in SE Asia. Filipinas are the best wife material in the area. I find both Vietnamese and Chinese women are very money focused - with Dallas style drama. Thai women are not as intelligent or good at conversation - I learned Thai at 13 so I know the language. There are always exceptions but as a general rule...
You did a superb job outlining the mentality of your cultures female population. The women are not pushy, just delightful but easily hurt if one is not careful .

True filipinos text a lot, but it is not too much. I agree on your view in this video, also the gossip part.

    Pea:
Your humor and information mix is always a bright spot to my day. Thank you. When you talked about being texted while on the throne asking "If everything came out OK" I had a good chuckle with that one. I could see that you were trying to slip that one through, but I found that it plopped into place quite well.
Keep up the great work my friend!

I actually took a video call from my Filipina on the toilet! We had a laugh when she saw the background😊

That's why my wife goes overboard on the food she cooks when we invite people over. She's worried that something will run out (to avoid embarrassment).

Everything you mentioned in this video is why I want to marry a Filipina, Pea. I came there 3 Months ago and had a wonderful time. I didn't get into a relationship, but I'll be back in the summer, and I'll stay longer. Fingers crossed. Thanks for this information. It's more confirmation that I'm making the correct choice. Good day to you, Pea.
