@@XxMcLuvinItxX when people buy head units, typically they intend to have it for several years, maybe even for as long as they have the car. Most people aren’t going to buy the newest version every time it comes out. It’s kinda like buying a car, people will buy 5-10 year old Hondas or Toyotas because they know they last a very long time and it’s cheap compared to buying the newest version.
Did your interior dome lights stop coming on when you open the door, and did going into the vehicle settings and try to set the setting to fix that, have it not save/work?
Hi Naz… I have a 2023 rav4 XLE HYBRID. I contacted Roadanvi about it they plan on making one for the 2023. They did not respond. I am very interested after watching your video…. With all the new connections it appears as though an extensive stereo system can be installed now…. I want to put a nice 12” stealth box in the back…. I’ve taped eveything up already in preparation for this head unit. I’m likely going to slowly create an enclosure with fiberglass…. I bought everything but pacing slowly hoping to hear back from roadanvi. Will you be expanding your RAV4 stereo??
I have a 2020 RAV4 Hybrid, I had everything functioning at first. the factory backup camera on bootup says change settings to panoramic also when I put in reverse i get a red power button to the left and the middle part of the screen looks like a CD changer screen. Just posting in case you encountered this or if anyone has. I have my camera plugged exactly like this and it worked omg. It was great I have no idea why it stopped working within the day. I honestly dont rely on backup camera but I would prefer to see that when shifting out of reverse than a CD changer screen lol. This radio has kinda thrown me off my civic and insight android radios never did this
@@nazarettos6987 Just playing with it some more. Yes I did that was a no go. I just got it to work. It will not work with camera set to Orginal factory camera on my 2020 Rav4 Hybrid. I had to change the camera settings from orginal factory camera to rear aftermarket, put it in reverse then the CD Disc screen disappeared and I had a Black screen with a little car. Then I had to hold the black screen and change to NTSC it was set to something else down on the list. Now its working. I was researching since yesterday this problem. Your video showed me I did hook it correctly. Its just not liking the settings the instructions said to use when setting up. So I am thinking I put it in reverse before I set all the settings the seller told me to use
It does, but I am having issues with my backup camera. it was working twice it shifting out of park the camera displayed now it does not and I have no idea why. EVerything works. Hybrid, vehicle settings, steering wheel controls all is solid plus I have my wireless android auto but the rear camera is baffling me
So when you install this head unit it comes with that GPS and it works even when when you have no connection on your phone. You can use that gps only when you are in android auto mode, also that GPS is not that great i prefer google through my phone.

I recently bought this media screen for my 2020 RAV4 hybrid limited model, after all while installing the stock couples not connecting roadvani system coupling, which is literally significant changes, any solution for this pls, if not I need to retune this Amazon
@ in the manual it doesn’t say anything about right hand or left hand. I think it will work just fine but I never use the GPS that is built in the system. I use Apple CarPlay.

I also mainly use Apple Car Play, so I found this product very attractive. This was helpful as there was no one introducing this display in Japan. thank you.
I just installed a similar unit in mine, and noticed that my interior/dome lights don’t work with the door anymore. And in the vehicle settings on the head unit, if I change any settings, they don’t save or do anything. Do you have any of these issues? (And if so, how/did you fix it?)
@@secondmindfilms7962 i noticed that on my head unit my car does not alert me when i lock the doors. It will not flash mirror and side marker when i lock it. I installed original radio back, went back to car setting and activated the setting again. Everything is good now. Just install old radio back and change back the settings.
Does your front usb under the climate control connect to the head unit? Mine was installed today and it charges my phone but it doesn't connect to the unit with carplay or android auto.
I want a 1 year review first before buying. These head units typically only last 6 - 8 months before getting buggy

Actually you don’t even have to plug in microphone because there is built in microphone into the unit.

So when you install this head unit it comes with that GPS and it works even when when you have no connection on your phone. You can use that gps only when you are in android auto mode, also that GPS is not that great i prefer google through my phone.
Just hold off before you buy it. I have a second video coming out and I’ll tell you what I like what I don’t like about this unit.
