Personally I think Atti you need to start standing up for her if you're there with her and she is the only one being singled out. Let them know that she is your wife, if there's something they have detected like you said they should communicate. They can't keep touching people in the name of screening. They should keep their hands to themselves seriously. If they're not going to do that to everyone else they shouldn't be doing it to her alone. I am sure if she said something they will use it against her and say she is loud, crazy or violent but if you could speak on her behalf they would listen to you. Peace and love to you guys ❤

Yes I was thinking the same. He has a right to ask what's wrong. But sometimes if a woman is wearing a maxi pad or hair pins or wig (not dreads) they will get additional screening. I had hair pins holding my wig on in Germany and the did additional screening and ran fingers through my head then the lady said oh then let me go. Also if someone is early in pregnancy and not visible by looking at the person but the screen picks it up they will search you further. I hope they did not search her based on color that would be stupid of the workers. Because plane terrorist are not always black, in history they have always been a light skin color.

I agree that he should stand up for his wife. Its a scary situation for her and you’re supposed to protect her from harm. Shes being mentally, emotionally, and physically abused! And for what reason? To only amuse themselves and others with their power of position at their place of employment?!?!?!? This is why the world is in turmoil and chaos! Because we dehumanize people and abuse power of positions. We’ve got to stop this bullying of our loved ones. And she should have been made aware of her rights so she could defend her rights. If you went to Africa anf the Military would have shoved you around and made a spectacle out of you???? I bet money your wife would have defended you with her life shielding you from rifles and automatic weapons with her body. When we learn to truly show our love for our loved ones, is when the world wil truly heal and become one with each other and for eachother. I don’t want my grand children to experience racism and prejudice and hatred just for being the perfect example of Gods love. God creates everything and everyone, He doesn’t make mistakes. Im so sorry this happened to your wife. Im sorry for Man Kind, that we haven’t grown or evolved past this point! Imagine how far we’d be and go, if we celebrated each other’s differences as well as acknowledging our similarities and values. She was going on Holiday. No one should be made feel less than when they’re in the company of their spouse. Their life partner. Their one and only, who they should be made feel safe , protected, and above all , have someone at her side she loves and made a pact with to love and to cherish, through the good and the bad.
Continued prayers for you both and your journey to continue to be successful and healthy and to be enriched beyond measure

Liz I am a black American woman and yes it happened to me as well. We were coming back from Greece, a lot of people went through but they stopped me, had me go through the body scanner, took my bag, put it through the scanner and took everything out of my carry on bag, very negative attitude. Liz, all of that was to aggravate and humiliate me. You’re black, that’s why, we can’t change the way people think, always pray before you travel and God will guard and protect you ❤

I remember 22 yrs ago when I arrived in U.K. with my family, they told me to stand aside for hours while my husband (African but EU citizen) went through in 10min!! Forgive them they don’t know what they are doing🙏🙏They are rude and no respect for women (how dare she can do that publicly?). God will continue to fight your battles fear not. Blessings upon blessings to you and Atti ❤️❤️

It's not professional for any screening officer to touch your body without your consent and he/she has to explain what he/she going to do. I would call that indecent touching your body. There is nothing wrong with additional screening but when it comes to touching someone body they have to explain the process to look more professional. I feel you Liz.

You should have been asked if you are fine doing secondary screening in the open; they should have an area for this in-depth screening. You are also within your rights to write to their office about your experiences. There is no place in this modern era for discrimination of any sorts☹️

Well,,,, Annette also went through racial discrimination at the airpot in Europe. The interesting part is that most Africans who are being racially profiled or discriminated at these western countries, usually dismiss it as standard procedure, while they know very well that IT IS NOT people doing their job but it's people being racists. We know it, and they know it too.
Maybe Atti should ask more questions in this regard and perhaps also volunteer to be screened just like his wife too even though they tell him to go,,,, you know help the dedicated staff of the airpot do their job thoroughly to ALL passengers??? who knows, maybe they might even get an employee of the year award for searching a white man too🙄.
My last and sincere advise, Please start exploring other options for your family in Africa because you will have children & chances are, they will look like both of you instead of looking like Atti alone, so they will also be victims of the same discrimination too. Africa guys, AFRICA! ❤❤ (& this is as respectful as I could be considering how disgusted I am)

It’s pure racism. It happened to me in Germany while transiting to England when I was deliberately picked out and extra checked, mind you I was the only black there. I was asked why am I going to England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 very intimidating. I wasn’t even stopping in Germany 🇩🇪 for goodness sake, I was transiting. Only when I get to the UK 🇬🇧 I am expected to be asked those questions by immigration officers and they didn’t even ask me that since my passport had residency stamp.

After living in America, there’s no benefit to keeping quiet in these situations. Show them that you see what they are doing, and you’re not stupid, and you’ll not be violated while they satisfy their racist egos. Your husband being white is a big advantage. You can make as much noise as you want.

Yes this has happened to me when I use to come back from Jamaica to Chicago. In fact one time my two friend were all in separate spots picking up our luggage from baggage claim. The agent kept bringing the dog to me. Then after we got our bags we were all pulled into separate rooms. Two woman had gloves on going through my hair. My other girlfriend was made to take out her used sanitary napkin. She was in tears. We were reported by the flight attendant only bc we were quietly laughing about our beautiful vacation. In fact it was so many complaints about blacks being searched, there was a investigation. It stopped. I go to Mexico 3 times a year and I am only searched bc I have 8 screws in my back. My beautiful and loving couple, you have been targeted. Love you guys so much. I am so sorry.

My advice to my little Sister here, this will happen a lot to you as a black woman living in the West, sometimes it’s Racial discrimination sometimes it’s not, our hair especially give triggers, you have to grow a thick skin, a good officer will explain to you why they are searching you, Do not be afraid to Speak up n Ask Questions, You can also ask to be searched in Private it’s your Right, Your husband should also Speak up especially if you are in a country where you don’t speak the language n he does
Most Important don’t let it bother you or ruin your day, Some of those officers are Jealous of you, I mean a black girl travelling the World n most people f them the farthest they have gone is that Airport to work lol 😂
Most importantly if you see Racism Speak up, Ask Questions you can’t go to Jail for asking Questions unless you are in North Korea 🤣🤣🤣
    Best of Luck ❤

Pole Liz. You are a Jewel skin colour not withstanding. I suggest that you complain to the Airport management IN WRITING to create awareness at least and expose the racial discrimination. That was harassment of the highest order. Stand up to be counted against such injustice.
Otherwise thanks for sharing and keep up the spirit. There is no lesser human bringing God's eyes👍

Liz in Europe trafficking black girls and using them to move drugs and prostitution is very common. You were at the airport with a European male in a city that black people never go to . On a positive note , they did it to protect you.

Liz ! Is left with few minutes to finish listening and watching this video but I felt like commenting b/4 it is too late. I was also travelling with my 18 years girl from one of the European countries to Us this June for a short holidays , we were flying from Frankfurt. After passing through the scanning machine, they also singled my daughter and took a simple under her canvas and checked it in the machine and some few seconds they told her to go . Besides we were having European passport.
Secondly. I think Liz ! You have to pray for Divine favour whenever you are travelling. Because some of these things you may think is normal but sometimes the enemy uses people in every area to frustrate your life. he is a liar and is ready defeated .
May be because you are still using the Kenyan 🇰🇪 passport that’s why . Be blessed 🙏🏽

It has nothing to do with Atti. It's not okay but procedure are procedure. I used to live in the Netherlands and they had bad experience with people from my country with drugs transportation so we all have to go through a severe check. I hated it also but now it has been changed. Liz she was being annoying, disrespectful and to much. Keep your beautiful locs. It's not only color but also the passport. I'm sorry that you felt that way. I traveled to Hungary too but I didn't experienced that at all. You must enter complain against them if it happens next time. ❤️ you

We traveled to France in June and no additional scanning/screening occurred. We are a family of three and we are African American. I would say don't start looking for racism and just keep things positive, if you are wondering anything ask questions, and definitely have people explain things before they start touching you.
