It's because it's to conserve energy. Once they find a much more portable energy source. They can be extremely efficient. That's why sloths move extremely slow, cause they basically use very little energy. It's the same thing as robots, if you watch advanced robots that are connected to wires. Couldn't help but notice that the robot was watering, what I assume to be, plants or flowers. For me, plants are one of the things that give me joy. You can find meaning in the mundane. Those are the things that make us who we are, give us appreciation for things in life and can even provide purpose. I fear that we are moving ahead too much. All these excessive advances in technology is also causing our society to forget how to interact with one another. However, a LOT of what Elon has said, has come true. Neuralink was just approved by the FDA and human trials have begun. In fact, I believe there’s already one man who can now walk after implantation. Which is absolutely AMAZING!
I will say that I feel the robots have quite a long ways to go, but I am confident that Elon will get there. $20,000 isn’t a little bit of money, but WAY less than I would’ve expected.
Being all the projects Elon has his hands in, I’d say he has produced some amazing things for the world. SpaceX alone is spectacular. And so many other projects under way that could change the world we live in today.
I also wouldn’t go as far as to say that self-driving cars have been a complete failure 🤷♂️
