For His Glory
At the dedication of Solomon’s Temple
2Chron 5:1-13 14 So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.
It happened before
Ex 40:34 ¶ Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. 35 And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
It departed also
When the tabernacle was captured by the Philistines
When God write Ichabod above the door…the glory has departed. 1Sam 4:21
When the Temple was sacked by the Babylonians…the people having been “carried away”.
Ps 115:1 Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake.
Heaven Came Down
O what a wonderful, wonderful day - day I will never forget;
After I'd wandered in darkness away, Jesus my Saviour I met.
O what a tender, compassionate friend - He met the need of my heart;
Shadows dispelling, With joy I am telling, He made all the darkness depart.

Born of the Spirit with life from above into God's fam'ly divine,

And the transaction so quickly was made when as a sinner I came,
Took of the offer of grace He did proffer - He saved me, O praise His dear name!

Now I've a hope that will surely endure after the passing of time;
I have a future in heaven for sure, there in those mansions sublime.

Riches eternal and blessings supernal from His precious hand I received.
