This sounds like a JoJo OP Think about it, A Joestar that grew up essentially a villain but a drastic event changed his world view (Maybe the loss of a friend or significant other) and he's trying to change but his crime ridden side keeps interfering with his normal life. Eventually he goes back down that road again but before he could fully return he runs into a girl who somehow keeps him in check. Then it spirals out of control one day when she's kidnapped by the "true villain", this Joestar could be a great Anti-Hero if it were pulled off correctly.
Keep up the great work and maybe you could try making your own music by mixing the anime lyric to see how that would work just giving you an idea and you could try other anime lyric too so good luck have a kekkai sensen day hehehe.
The original is already english but since the Japanese accent is so thick it's so hard to hear, thnx for the re-record you did, I'm glad to finally able to hear it being sang by real English speaker instead of Japanese who try to immitate/try english.
The rap is actually about 80% Japanese, 15% english, and 5% French haha. I tend to write my lyrics in a way that the vowels and syllables are similar to that of the original Japanese, as to not change the sound too much for lovers of the original but to provide a translation for people who'd rather have English!

Possibly. The translations I was working with had either "one more time" or "overtime". I decided to opt for overtime, since the term "halftime" was used in the rap and it paired nicely. It just wasn't clear what the phrase was and I was hearing two different things, so I chose which one I thought worked better.

The Fedora usually ruins everything it touches. This is an exception, I read the lyrics after first hearing the song so it plays in English in my head now lol, but you sir should be hired to do the English Dub for Beastars' OP. One of the few rare times an English dubbed version is as good as the original, I've really only heard this and 'one punch man English song dub meet those standards. Great Job.
