Today we'll take a look at field antennas. First we'll talk about the different types of antennas (wire, vertical, loop, etc) and talk about advantages and disadvantages. Then we'll talk about coax, set up requirements, power requirements, weight and size, resonant vs, non-resonant, and homebrew vs. commercial. Finally we'll round things out with HT antennas. Hopefully this gives you some ideas as to what you might want to start out with, or what kind of antenna you might try in the future.
