I legit feel sad about the 3DS and Wii U eShops closing. It feels like the end of an era that will never be replicated again. At least we have Zelda news tomorrow and the Mario movie next week 🥲

Nintendo is well known for scamming Just like the Wii U games literally re-release the same games for a higher price for a more expensive console/Switch so I'm pretty sure they have enough money to keep it still going

Today I found out the Nintendo eShop closed I have a 2DS and I checked in eShop today and I cried when I found out I can't do anyting and I am so sad that tomorrow I won't be able to open it if Nintendo see this open one more time to I am so sad it what in the world we sure can't hear the music for one more time rest in peace Nintendo eShop. Can people like this just to make my heart Happy please cuz I'm so sad Nintendo eShop closed 🔐🔒
The 3DS and Wii U are one of my childhood consoles I had
Pretty sure I was kicked out of the shop a couple of minutes before 8pm EST right during my purchase of Citizens of Earth on the Wii U but the transaction went through and I got the game even though I got an error message. Your funds should still be accessible on your Switch if the account is linked. Mine are.
Side note. In the last hour I was scrambling to haggle for all the games in Rusty’s Real Deal Baseball. I barely got the last one before the shop closed.
I tried to wait also on a demo for the 3ds WarioWare game demo. Luckily, I did not pay any money, but it was still very disappointing, even though it was purchased before the eShop closure.

I basically decided last minute to buy an Animal Crossing theme about 1-2 minutes before it closed but I kept getting an error message. No worries thought I was just feeling fomo I already got all of the stuff I wanted 30 minutes before closing. 😊
I tryed to get the first Rusty’s real deal baseball dlc at 8:56 I kept trying but servers were full :(
This is so sad. Online subscriptions are the norm and the only way to enjoy classic games (besides emulation). “You will own nothing and be happy.” Nintendo

Happened to me when I tried to buy Metroid Other M. I was 3 minutes away, and I still wasn't able to get the game because of the servers being backed up. 🙁
For me it went under maintenance at 7:59 and my transaction was cancelled I got scammed (kinda) too

Why are they still closing it when Nintendo is making so much profit from it. Like I seen 50 people buy stuff before it closed.
I tried to buy fantasy life dlc and it just booted me and I was so mad cause it was like 7:45 like for real Nintendo at least wait till midnight to milk the 3ds and Wii U cows for all the money you can.

I tried buying Duck Hunt with Wii remote controls 5 minutes before but it wouldn’t let me. 8 minutes before, I was able to buy Pokemon Transporter from the Pokemon Bank 3DS. You should’ve bought them minutes earlier between each other. R.I.P. eShop.

What was YOUR last game on the Eshop?
Mine were 2 fast 4 Gnomes and Monster Hunters 4 ultimate.
Here in Canada, it was done around 6. Thank goodness I had monster hunter 4 ultimate downloading at the time of closure so I didn't loose my download.
My last purchase was Yokai Watch 3, one of the rarest games on the system largely because it was released at the worst possible time, and as a result, it sold poorly outside of Japan. Immediately after purchasing it, though, I realized that in order to claim the bonus code that came with the digital purchase, I had to play a couple hours into the game, which unsurprisingly left me anxious since I thought I wouldn't make it in time to redeem the code in game. Thankfully, I managed to redeem it, but I will say I am incredibly grateful this method of redeeming dlc was abandoned with the Nintendo Switch, especially since dlc for some games can't be purchased until you clear the entire game.

When i open the e shop now on my 2ds xl and 3ds xl its all normal and i can search all games but instead of the Download button there is a text saying "curently unavailable"

Honestly I tried to download the games Nintendo decided to discontinue the adding funds part before midnight of the 27th even though that's when they were closing the shops mean I lost 20 bucks because of that. And I couldn't download the games or earlier because I was putting up with trying to figure out how to link the 2DS to the switch

I see that Switch, if you used the same Nintendo account for the 3DS and Wii U you still at least have 20 dollars you can spend on the Switch. I say 20 and not 30 cause your account can only be linked to ONE 3DS system.
