Kenya Cymru Music - Future Hope Montessori School

This film is of a Day In The Life of Future Hope Montessori School, Vipingo, Kenya, filmed and edited by Sian Summers, as part of the Kenya Wales Call & Response Schools Music Project. The project was funded by the Arts Council of Wales and involved a collaboration between children in this Kenyan school where Sian has been volunteering since September 2011, and two Welsh schools where Heather Summers & Gareth Lumb gave music sessions - Ysgol Cae'rfelin & Ysgol Brynsaron. Recordings were able to cross the miles between continents by the use of drop box. Heather & Gareth arranged & produced a CD of their music, launched March 2013. We had all raised money to replicate 1000 CDs, every penny of each sale (£8) goes directly to the school in Vipingo where all 120 children are AIDS affected. The videos were part of the same project and include some of the songs off the CD. Quote: "The CD is so refreshing, a reminder of our humanity".
