How do I change the grinder settings to be more fine? It's too coarse and I'm getting too much liquid coming out.

You can't do that with this machine, this was the Machine, Germans can't do it as good as the Italian coffee makers.
Newer models can !
If you need practical and hate cleaning, trust me, you need Miele ! Need the best Coffee, more fancy Italian machines !

The grinder settings are available inside the door panel. There are two sliding selectors. Google the manual and you can set it however you like

You own the old machine, too complex, i loved it ! Can i have it back please, we sold the house it came with.
upgraded to a Nespresso Machine by Miele, that came with the new house.
Americano is small expresso, rest is hot water. Press the 'Full Cup' on this ? just do expresso only please.
