There's a bit of a secret behind this. If you take a sip, Pepsi and Coca-Cola taste pretty much the exact same. If you take a gulp, Pepsi tastes over-sweetened, but Coke tastes normal. Thank my science teacher.
Used to be a avid coke drinker until coke said I was too white to drink it. I gave up soda after that. I can clearly tell the difference between pepsi, coke, and sam's club.
@@deeiodee Big controversy years ago. Coca-Cola is making soda cans printed with the phrase “Try to be less white.” I did just that, I quit buying all their products.
Your brother is hilarious! Great sense of humor... I can see why the two of y'all get along so well together, but I bet the fights are just as dangerous!
I wonder if it's something out of their control like how people taste cilantro (tastes like soap). Some people have the specific genetic taste buds that make it difficult to distinguish the difference between the taste of pepsi and coke.
How can you not tell the difference? They literally have THE MOST different flavors imaginable. They taste NOTHING whatsoever alike. Its not even close.
Idk if you're from the USA (I am not), but I know USA's stuff can taste wildly different from European/other stuff. So maybe they taste similar in the USA. As far as the Netherlands goes, they taste very different yes.
@@SOSolacex yeah in Europe, Pepsi has less than half as much sugar as Coke. They switched half the sugar with Acesulfam-K and Sucralose, which makes the difference extremely obvious. Pepsi has 4.6% sugar and Coke has 10.6%. You can immediately pick up on the artificial sweetener. I used to prefer Pepsi, I liked it more in a blind taste test. But nowadays it's revolting, they ruined it for me
All soda seems to suffer from extremely short shelf life over the past 10 yrs or so. Now it's 3 xs the price so that's pretty insulting. Maybe it's the thinner bottles, cans etc, crappier seals? Who knows. Glad I don't really partake anymore aside from an occasional treat maybe a few x's a month.
In the UK you can tell the difference very easily, Pepsi is often more sweet but does have a sweetener taste to it (artificial sweetener) vs Coca-Cola which is more bitter and has a less artificial taste.
I took the challenge on campus when they first did it, in the 70's. Being a Coke head, I knew I would be able to tell the difference between them. I failed and it surprised the hell out of me. What I have discovered since then, is the order you are given them can Make a difference.
Funny how 1 can go from daily soda drinker to either very rare consumption or none at all. I'm on the very rare consumption train & have been for yrs & it gets easier the longer u r off it, right?
The taste between the two is so unmistakably different, it's impossible not to know if you drink one regularly. Coke is a very harsh drink. You know it right away because of the harshness. On the flipside, Pepsi is smoother, with a more syrupy taste.
Coca-Cola from different factories tastes different. There is no one right basic taste - the drink tastes different in different countries. In some countries I prefer to drink Pepsi but in my home country I prefer Coca-Cola.
I've done this test several times in my life. I still get coke correct every time. I still to this day can't understand how people can't tell the difference. The flavor is night and day to me.
This must have something to do with the ingrediency they care allowed in US VS EU, Because here in the Netherlands you taste the difference right away. Pepsi tastes much sweeter than Coke.
Nope. They taste different everywhere. They're just making up BS for engagement on videos. It's part of Tyler's online persona to play dumb for attention and engagement. This is just an infuriating example.
Hmmmmm in Australia there is a significant difference in the taste of each I wonder if it's different there in the states that they taste near the same 🤔
I always used to be a Coke guy. But a couple years ago I did a blind comparison and I actually preferred Pepsi. But some time after that Pepsi changed the recipe of their cola and replaced half of the sugar with artificial sweeteners. Now you can just *immediately* tell which is which, and I prefer Coke now because I don't like artificial sweeteners at all. The difference nowadays is so obvious.
Guess it's been a long time since I've had a Pepsi. Definitely would've noticed that. 😂 I prefer coke but never disliked Pepsi but artificial sweeteners would make me like it a lot less. I drink a soda as a treat once in a while. Used to consume it often. Had acid reflux. Cutting soda out cured me.
The real question is why do these products go flat so damn quick these days. You use to be able to open a drink, sit it in the fridge and 4 hours later, still carbonated. These days they're flat in 10 mins. Especially pepsi products
Omg, this is bizarre seeing another living being with Tyler. I only found this channel/s 2 months ago and have never seen anything that breathes with him lol. It kind of felt like "I am Legend" in a way and like he was making a show to keep his sanity in a world where he was the only living person left. I feel like this is an alternate reality right now. I figured he's been single all this time, no kids, but after a while, it really felt like "last man on Earth"
I know as a kid, I could easily tell the difference between Coke and Pepsi. Sometime in the 1990's, I started drinking diet instead, and I felt there was a quite stark contrast between the two as diet drinks. When it comes to other brands, however, it's easy to tell the difference if you, say, compared Coke to Tab, or Pepsi to Sam's Choice. There's an extreme difference in the quality. I think Rite, though, was always by far the worse. It tasted really off, and there was something really weird about it, where, at least for me, it would just foam up really bad in my stomach and make me sick. I'd end up spitting up foam from drinking it. Nasty stuff.
Were these room temp or cold? I think I would be able to tell the difference easier if they were icy cold. Probably because that's when Coke is the best. Mmmm. An ice cold coke sounds wonderful.
I just drank Pepsi today for the first time in months. I can easily tell the difference between Coke and Pepsi but they are somewhat similar...The question is, is it "soda" or "pop"?...I've always called it pop..
I have actually tried this test and can easily taste the difference every time even though im not a cola drinker. Not sure why I have such an easy time. Its like the spice profile is different. Idk how to describe it. Maybe My taste receptors more easily detect something in one versus the other that make it easier for me?
Being able to taste the difference between Coke and Pepsi isnt even remotely difficult. The difference is literally like Night and Day. It is STAGGERINGLY different. These 2 idiots are just dumb as hell.
I've seen this test performed since the early 90's... I need to try it for myself. Personally I feel that Pepsi tends to taste sweeter and Coke is way more acidic... So why are these tests always so inconclusive?🤔
recently pepsi has been absolute dogshit. used to like it alot if not even more than coke. but now they have slowly been swapping sugar for some sweeteners in normal pepsi and it taste horrible. Coca cola is the only og there is anymore
Pepsi literally hasnt changed anything in 20 years my dude. Nothing at all. Its your taste buds that are changing. It happens to everyone as they get older. The recipe is exactly the same.

i don't get how people can not guess which is which instantly. They taste completely different
Probably fake.
100%
Regular diet filled with sugar and overly-salted / overly-spiced o.0
Doesn't surprise me at all they have fried tastes buds.
Exactly Coke is its own drink nothing tastes like it
Even other factors sides from taste make it obvious, I've noticed coke to be lot more bubbly / carbonated.
