      I like to make first an ISO from the original Windows XP CD and I load that ISO ( you wear/scratch the CD minimal in this way) in the Virtual Clone Drive and from there I load in the nLite program......if you don't get right from the first time, then you can load again the files from the original Windows XP ISO in 10 seconds, otherwise you have to copy from the original CD and it takes another 4-5 minutes, depending if the CD is scratched and how old is the optical drive.
      I like to preserve my CD's, never know when do you need it again.
      You can load in the nLite program directly from the Windows XP CD to.

    Hi, got a Panasonic Toughbook, CF-30, it's quite old. When I try to boot the operative system I got the same blue screen as you. I don't want to lose the existing programs so don't want to reinstall windows. Is there a way to install these drivers without losing the programs already installed? Not sure if I have the same issue but it's quite similar

    • @redigitt
      @redigitt  7 месяцев назад +1

      1.Aloha, you should go in the BIOS settings and verify your HDD mode. IDE(Compatible) or SATA (AHCI) or in RAID mode.
      If you installed without SATA drivers the WINDOWS XP, then it should be in IDE (Compatible) mode the HDD.
      If you installed with SATA drivers the WINDOWS XP, then it should be in SATA (AHCI) mode the HDD.
      Also check the date and time in the BIOS, probably the BIOS battery is to low and your BIOS was reseated to the default values
      Like in this video at Storage Menu
      -> Storage Option
      -> SATA Emulation ruclips.net/video/7tMEwWjjJNM/видео.htmlsi=lYhjGz9lDesaHfev
      2. Or maybe your RAM memory has bad sectors, if you have more then one stick you should try to remove one , test in both slots each memory or run the memtest from CD or USB.
      3.Or your HDD has bad sectors.
      Thank you watching, If my video or advice was helpful , then please don't forget to share, like the video and maybe subscribe, please keep me postad and good luck.

      Thanks for your prompt reply, the panasonic laptop is not mine, a friend gave it to me. It has dual boot, in one win 10 and the other win xp I think. Win 10 works ok but win xp doesn't, when I try to boot it I get the blue screen, and I thought there were missing drivers. So I entered BIOS and Says AHCI, but I cannot change anything. So again not sure if the issue is related to drivers. By the way the BIOS is Phoenix. How can I troubleshoot this?

      If the Windows 10 is booting, then you can acces the windows xp partition you should copy there the SATA drivers
      Access the Windows XP installation and go to
      C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers
      Look for the files named something like this:
      iaahci.cat
      iaAHCI.inf
      iastor.cat
      iaStor.inf
      iaStor.sys
      you can search for drivers here pc-dl.panasonic.co.jp/dl/search?q=&button=&dc%5B%5D=002001006&p1=116&p2=1160042&oc=001005&lang=002

      Yes, you need to search for something like SATA Floppy Image or Floppy driver and usualy is a .zip file and for sure contain a Txtsetup.oem and the F6 Readme file where explains how to use the file, you need to press the F6 key to load the drivers from the Floppy disc....but if you integrate with Nlite the SATA driver, then you don;t have to press the F6 key.

    • @redigitt
      @redigitt  2 года назад

      Aloha, I don't understand your question.
      1. If you want to add a second HDD to storage files, then you simply mount the second HDD, if the HDD is new and has no partition , then in Disk management you need to inicialize the HDD, make partitions and format the partitions.
      2. If you want to install a second HDD with another OS, then you can unplug the first HDD from the motherboard, install the operating system on the second HDD, plug the first HDD to the motherboard then you choose from BIOS from which HDD to boot the PC.
      3. There are methods to have dual boot menu, but unfortunately I never used in Dual Boot, so I can't help you with that, you need to search for dual boot.

      Not possible to install all drivers but still you can just run xp on the newest hardware by using modded xp SATA driver from Intel. But there is no guarantee that it works on every system.
      Also running a 32 bit OS on latest x64 processor is just like using ferrari as garbage dumping vehicle. The hardware and OS must be somewhat equally capable. Pentium 4 was best suited for xp though Pentium 3 as well as upto i3 2nd gen were both capable of running xp. There is overlap zone too where many OS can be run equally well on a system. P4 can run windows 9x and DOS too.

      Not all old computers can boot from a USB flash drive.
      I had better experience when I disconnected all optical drives and HDD's and left only one HDD, I used USB 2.0 flash drive, preferably smaller capacity than 4 GB and sometimes you have to wait 10-30 minutes to start to boot from the USB and maybe you have to try several times to boot from USB flash drive. That's why I prefer to install Windows XP from CD, from DVD it installs faster because the reading speed is higher. .

      You can try to:
      1.Use a PC 5.25" CD, DVD drive with a USB to SATA Adapter for 3.5" HDD, with external power adapter
      2.Make a WindowsXP bootable USB drive
      or you copy in a folder to the D partitiion the Windows XP files and lunch the installation from a bootable USB drive - this I didn't tried with Windows Xp, but it worked with Windows 98 till I made a bootable CD disk.

    Did 3 times ...Copy/Grab XP Original ISO Image....stored in the Root Directory and others too....but, nlite just does not find them......I can see them in the Folder though?
    I do not have your email and could send you pictures?
    If I click the XP ISO Folder for the heck of it - it says Make sure the Selected Folder or Drive contains the 'i386' or 'AMD64' Directory??? and proper Windows Installation Files...nLite is for a pre-install environment only??? BUT, if I close all programs and click at any of the three XP ISO Images - Windows XP opens up?
    By the way my Folder called SLIPSTREAM is under My Documents and not under C: Windows like you did - does it make a difference?
    From 6:25 to 6:40 ....too fast....what u did with Virtual Clone no idea!

    • @redigitt
      @redigitt  3 года назад

      You should double click on the Windows XP.ISO, then the ISO will load in the Virtual Clone Drive( you will have a second CD-ROM on your PC), you open the nLite program, press the Browse button and search for the second CD-ROM(virtual Clone Drive) and click on the Virtual Clone Drive and then you gave the saving location, in my video is the "XP for SATA" folder. If the video is to fast you can change the playback speed in the settings, the gear icon to 0.75 or 0.5, good luck.
