We’re moving along and it’s looking so good!! I know we said we were gonna show you guys caulking but that’ll be in a future episode because WE HAVE CABINETS!! And that’ll be our focus moving forward. See y’all next Sunday!
Cutting the casings on site is a DOPE idea. I had a friend that used to do it all the time until more & more began to ask him to cut theirs real quick!! The workers at da Depot prob. LOVE you Man. One less thing they have to do & more time to stand around & talk!! Hoping all is well guys, Dirty Jersey out!!
Thanks for the Office reference, so I didn't have to add it in my comments. Put together my granddaughters swingset yesterday, and had a dozen "Thats what she said" moments. Take good care of that sprayer. The "Lowes" models of Graco sprayers are NOT repairable. Found out the hard way. I was borrowing one to do exterior spray and I think the screen part that goes into the paint got some dirt into it from laying on the ground, and the pump got fried. If I had it to do over, I'd make sure those components were always sitting on a drop cloth. Another tip: I always had 2 or 3 extra 5 gallon buckets handy, for spraying excess until the paint comes through after priming. Plus you can store the spray head in clean water in one of them, if you will be painting the next day.
Another amazing video! I love watching your journey. :) I really appreciate the portion of video where Kyle shared the tutorial of how he built the windowsills. Can you please share more instructional segments like that in the future?
If the nozzle clogs you can spin it around and pull the trigger to blast paint backwards through the nozzle and clear it. If you're going to reuse the sprayer soon with the same paint you can leave paint in the sprayer and leave the sprayer in the bucket of paint. Put a light layer of water on top of the paint in the bucket to keep it from drying. While attached with paint put the entire handle/sprayer end in a bucket of water to prevent the nozzle from getting dry. I've done this for several weeks without any problems. Startup is easy just pull the handle out of the water turn the sprayer on and go. Sometimes you have to mix the paint if it's been sitting for a while.
Find a local lumber supply company and have them deliver your trim! From what I have found it was almost half the cost of Homedepot 5-1/4 base and wm376 casing. Plus for us the delivery was free! Saves time on having to drive back and forth to homedepot
Lots to unpack on this video. Great job and good progress on the house. Title was a bit misleading, as I thought there would be more related to the paint spray. Saw the parts where you liked it, didn't see much on the not liking. "Office" references were awesome! I feel that's Lauren's humour to add that in, well played! Thanks for the framing techniques, very helpful. Thanks as always for your vids!
Hahah the office spot gets me every time , as for the negatives of the sprayer I’d say the only one is for small jobs, having to do the setup then cleanup as it’s time consuming, other than that we actually really love it lol
Finally finished the video!! No lie, me & father in law used the same sprayer at my rental last Sunday & this was like reliving it in dejavu!! And... what the heck is up with the hose that bends every which way except the way you need it too!!! Found myself yelling advice at the screen!! And... I WON'T say that we were using the spray nozzle while the pump was on roll option for approx. 5 mins.!!! Hoping all is well guys, Dirty Jersey out again!!
"You have to follow the instructions to a "T" on both the setup and the cleanup." Truer words have never been spoken. LOL. We use a Graco Truecoat Sprayer with a can attachment (smaller version than yours) and it's EXACTLY the same way. The results are fantastic but it's definitely 2 hours of setup and cleanup and 9 minutes to paint the project. Definitely love/hate relationship for sure! Great video!
“Woah. Don’t look down the barrel of a gun.” 😂 My thoughts exactly! Also, loved The Office reference. You guys are my favorite. I could watch you all day.
Please don't use run any power saws in store. The amount of saw dust that produces especially MDF is super bad. It's pretty inconsiderate to other shoppers walking in the aisles. If you are going to power saw your trim, just do it in the parking lot. Don't be that guy.
This is one of the best ones yet! Thanks for the detailed walk-through on the window trim, and I appreciate you sharing the realistic struggles with the paint sprayer. Keep them coming!
I loved the sprayer tutorial and the window trimming lesson, now I can look like I know what I’m doing!! I also loved that your cutting wood inside Home Depot😂 like NBD Keep up the good work, you’re our new favorite show! Kyle, please watch your mouth in case my kids are watching along with us! 🤭😬
For your next kitchen, shop the design to Millennium Home Products (South Philly) and let them know you are real estate investor and want trade pricing. I have found Eric can beat everyone on price. But yes, the best value will be any of those chinese cabinet shops in that area (Washington Ave / South Philly). We are re-doing a unit now with an L-shape kitchen. White shaker cabinets were $1400 w/ trade account + $100 assembly + $100 delivery to Montgomery County so $1,600 all in.
Okay but do you love the paint sprayer? Im considering buying the same one. Also, what is that cute little speed square? Need it. Also… that office bit was so good.
We do love it, it’s really awesome. And the square is a 6” combo square! I use it CONSTANTLYYY www.homedepot.com/p/Swanson-6-in-Pocket-Combination-Square-with-Stainless-Steel-Blade-and-Bubble-Level-TC130/300224941
Awesome work! So inspiring! Hopefully you guys can close the hole so that the furry friend doesn't return. My fear would be if the squirrel had babies inside :(
Hi! We bought it the end of February. Because we’re living in it though, we wouldn’t really call it holding costs. It’s just our housing costs. And we have a tenant in the other unit which covers most of the PITI.
We’re moving along and it’s looking so good!! I know we said we were gonna show you guys caulking but that’ll be in a future episode because WE HAVE CABINETS!! And that’ll be our focus moving forward. See y’all next Sunday!
Love the squirrel comedy act great video. 😂😂😂😂
Thank you! Stoked we finally caught him on video!

Of course! And we actually ended up dressing them up a little more so we’ll do a segment on that when we get back to them

ALWAYS bends in the direction you don’t want it to lol
Just watched your real estate rookie podcast on bigger pockets. Congratulations guys.
Thank you! Had so much fun talking with Ashley and Felipe!
9:55 made the entire video. My partner and I spat our coffee’s out. Great video 💪🏿
Haha Michael Scott will do that to you!

Hahah thanks Connie! We had ourselves laughing so hard during this one lol
Wow I should bring my own power saw to HD next time also! Awesome video like always!
First time doing it, what a time saver!

So glad to hear it! We’ll keep the detailed projects coming. Anything job in particular you’d want to see a walk through for?

Thanks for the recommendation! We’re always open to trying new places so we’ll definitely check them out. $1600 sounds like a great price!
Put a 1 inch trim on top of the window trim as well, and you have a "craftsman" style window trim.
Yess I was torn whether to finish it off with that or not. May just see that next weekend!
@@RentalstoWealth I would, just looks incomplete otherwise (IMO.) Either that, or I've been looking at trim examples way to much recently.
Haha good looks!
I personally like it just the way Kyle finished it

Did you paint your walls in the Intense White too? Very pretty.
Yep. Walls are intense white and baseboard and trim are decorators white. Both by Benjamin Moore.
We not going to talk about how the dog sits?
😂😂 he’s quite proper isn’t he?
Awesome work! So inspiring! Hopefully you guys can close the hole so that the furry friend doesn't return. My fear would be if the squirrel had babies inside :(
Exactly ours also! That’s why we’ve been hesitant to just close it up. We’ve got a pest control scheduled to come out to we’ll see 🤞🏼
dang a feature length video...diggin the 30+ minutes and havent even finished it yet.
Lol we didn’t wanna leave anything out!
How long has it been since you guys closed on this house?
What are the holding costs since you closed on it.
Hi! We bought it the end of February. Because we’re living in it though, we wouldn’t really call it holding costs. It’s just our housing costs. And we have a tenant in the other unit which covers most of the PITI.
@@RentalstoWealth Awesome, congrats!!
Thanks!
Be careful with dry sanding that Drydex spackling. It has silica in it, so the dust is no bueno for ur lungs.
Love your vids! Keep em coming!
Thanks for the warning! When in doubt, mask up!
I love watching your videos but I always think to myself what are the seatbelt laws in NJ? You never have a seatbelt on. Is that not the law there?
Lol no it is, I’m just terrible at wearing it
