Dolan makes a good pt that hoping we sign Hartenstein is actually very reasonable. I keep hearing "We're not moving Chet off the '5' so even if we play Hartenstein the 18min of b/u play & maybe 2min they play together, thats still only 20min. You just dont pay a UFA 20mil+/yr if he's maxed out at 20min/game". But why cant we? Whats gonna happen if we only play him 20min? Is the sky gonna fall? Hartenstein has been my favorite non-Thunder player since 2021 so maybe Im not being objective. But to me he's not just a trad Non-Shooting Big. He hit 24 of 50 3pt'ers for LAC. He still has a bit more upside. He can be a great screener for Shai & Dub. He is the ultimate low usage/high intangible. Lets make it happen!

Jones is not 42% from spot up, that was a stat posted in an article about him in the middle of the season when he was shooting 39% from 3. He ended up shooting 32% from 3 on the season. I believe his shot up 3% is 34% now.

I don't understand what Presti is doing. We already have tons of wing players and he keeps drafting more. The Dallas series exposed a roster imbalance and they specifically lost because when Chet was off the floor they had tons of problems with Lively and Gifford who caught tons of easy alley oop dunks, had tons of offensive rebounds leading to easy points and clogged the lanes when OKC tried to drive. He should have taken Filipowski from Duke at #12. He fits this team perfectly and is exactly what they need.

Sam knows what he’s doing. Relax.

It's easy to understand. If you expect to get immediate help from the draft for this team to be in the finals, it is very likely that you will fail. I think Presti is carrying out 2 projects at the same time. On the one hand, select talented young people who, if they go well, will be cheap for many or years and good exchange pieces. On the other hand, he gets Caruso and keeps 31 M of CAP... if he now signs IH the rotation for the playoffs has improved massively, while you continue to bet on your future.

@@javiercereijodiaz3655 The bottom line is this trade changes the chemistry of a team that finished 1st in the brutal west and came within a play of probably playing for an NBA championship. You would think that Presti would have learned from the Harden trade that you absolutely don't break up a team that is having great success. They might never be as good as they were last season. They certainly are worse now without Giddey

Filipowski is trash. And Imma Duke fan
Topic is way better than Giddy.

@@joeldriver-sp2rgThe team is better now and rookies aren't gonna help the Thunder in the playoffs. None of this is confusing, it'll only be confusing if they get to the playoffs next year and haven't solved the problem.
