I needed this video again today for a Rush Premium. I installed a Stern brand motor, and damn those guys for their godawful tech writing.
I saw another guy ask about ferrites. This was where they screwed up their instructions. AFTER I followed their step about running the motor wire through BOTH ferrites, then screwing them into the brace bar do they THEN tell you to wrap em through those TWICE. 👀🥴🤷‍♂️
Welp, mine are simply THROUGH em once (the two wires) & so far it works fine. Feels like I’m holding Peart’s drum riser while he’s playin! And that’s on MODERATE setting, no less. 😅

Depends on the pinball brand and model as you can adjust on some although not on others.
If you have a Stern spike 1 or 2 check out the Pinball Life link below. It notably softens the severity.

@@jeffspinball3439Thanks for that link, Jeff. I’m on the page now, but better ask you this before I _Add to cart:_ I have a Stern Spike 2 Premium … is there a setting IN the Stern menu that allows you to dampen the motor?
Mine LITERALLY rattled the coin door OPEN! 👀😯

Last time I checked there wasn't an adjustment on a Stern Spike 2 machine. Although this may have changed in some of their recent updates.
If you go through the adjustments menu you can double check before placing your order.

Any idea what that ribbon that runs along the cabinet and under the shaker motor is? Mine is covering 2 of the shaker motor holes

Hi - are there no ferrites used any longer?
