@@bootzilla1550 Yes!!! I’ve seen the first Raid once a LONG time ago. Good film! The Raid 2 just surpasses it in every way imaginable. In my humble opinion, of course.
What qualifies as an action movie can be pretty subjective, so several 'big hitters' don't make my list. No thrillers, fantasy, superheroes... or even some of my favourite sci-fi flicks (Aliens, RoboCop, Total Recall etc). Also, not going to include any pure kung fu or wuxia flicks because that's a whole new chart. Only one per franchise/director for the sake of variety... 1. Raiders Of The Lost Ark 2. Terminator 2: Judgment Day 3. Die Hard 4. Mission: Impossible - Fallout 5. The Raid 6. Mad Max: Fury Road 7. Eastern Condors 8. The Killer 9. In The Line Of Duty IV 10. John Wick: Chapter 3
@@Snoozoid I like your qualifications for action films & will say that RoboCop & Total Recall were both close to making the lists. But when I think of both, I usually think of the satire & filmmaking first before the action scenes. Either way, I like your Top 10! Surprised to see The Raid & not The Raid 2!
@@ChadSabourin We've got similar picks and I rate most of your choices quite highly. RoboCop is my favourite film ever but not for the action - although it's pretty great. Total Recall has amazing action but I only wanted to include one Arnie, so it had to be T2. I actually slightly prefer the original Terminator for its tight pacing and plot but T2 blows it away when it comes to spectacle. Same reason I go for The Raid over its sequel - faster pace, grittier action and better music. Still really like the sequel but there's a few too many gaps between the action and the story (in both films actually) doesn't really engage me. Sometimes 'less' is more - chose The Killer over Hard-Boiled, again because sometimes you can have too much of a good thing!
Great list y’all! Excluding MCU, I think T2 or Gladiator would be my #1. T2 has always been great and probably my favorite SCI FI film too
@@CantArticulate Either one would be a fair #1! Love them both.
Awesome lists for both. The Raid 2 over The Raid is a bold choice. I love both movies.
