I love Carolyn Grey, Beauticurve, Tenwaystowearit, JBStyle, Pockets&Bows, You!! annnnd I just realized, most of my faves are black women. Maybe that’s why I get so many compliments on my outfits 🤷♀️. I got the Prada re-edition bag when I was in Barcelona,,, pretty old bag but it’s always had my heart. I was on the look out for ThePerfect™️ straw bag but I didn’t find it. When we were in Türkiye, I bought a leather jacket and a couple of leather belts but no dupes (ok I was tempted).

So many of the influencers you highlighted are my favourites, especially Monroe (I followed her for 10 years), Pia Muehlenbeck, Noorie, Tamara, CocoFlo (fellow EA) and, of course, Carolyn Grey (her style is edgy and creative, and her personality shines). Tameika and Tashara are my inspirations; as someone in the legal/human rights field, I love their style and knowledge of fashion.
I’ve followed Monroe for about that as well! Back in her short permed hair days! I adore Carolyns personality. She makes me chuckle any time I watch her. Honestly all these ladies are so inspiring. I also appreciate the social justice piece Tashara and Tenika bring into the mix !

Thanks for all the influencer recommendations! There were a few I've never heard of and I'm excited to follow them. I am a big fan of Alyssa Beltempo for shopping your closet, Awed by Monica, Ashley @Parke Avenue, Coco Beautea, and Cassie Thorpe. All have very different styles but I learn something new from watching their content. These are just my fashion ones...don't get me started on the nutrition, makeup, and lifestyle influencers - 🤣
I follow most of the same influencers. Noorie nails elegant chic and has definitely made me hit the buy button. Monroe has edgy chic down pat but the influencer whose style really resonates with mine is karenbritchick.

I am a 1X and I'm short. I want to buy my first piece by black designer that is size inclusive but also don't break the bank. Can you suggest some that you can maybe get a dress under $500? If that's any possible. I'm almost 50 so not super sexy.

If you love the east west clutch and it brings you joy, get it and it can be part of your collection. I was obsessed with chocolate brown back in the day so much so I cannot stand it now. I did save some lovely pieces including an east west style bag from Coach. @AwedbyMoni inspired me to give chocolate brown a chance again so I’m pulling the pieces out of the archives! You can do the same with the bag if you don’t want to carry it after a year or so. It will come back…everything does!
