I absolutely love your ball review videos. I am a high school and league bowler and I really rely on what you have to say about a ball before I buy one. There is only one thing I would suggest doing differently. During your transition to the sport shot part of the review, you guys should show a picture of what the pattern looks like.
Let me just say, so you don't get the wrong idea, TamerBowling is probably the most helpful review for a new ball out here on the internet. I feel like the point of their amazing and helpful videos is to be as helpful and convenient for everyone. It would be helpful if they just showed a picture so I wouldn't have to stop and pause the video.
625 revs??? Holy shit he is ripping the cover off the ball every time he let's it go! I touch over 400 revs when I hit it hard, but couldn't imagine the energy it takes to hit it that hard! I'd have a heart attack after about half a game!
Thrilled to see this video in my feed. Great work to all you guys for the effort putting this together. I can only imagine the time it takes figuring out what shots to use and lining it up with the commentary. I remember in your Code Red video you said something about that ball possibly being a holy grail like the Hy-Road. Since then, do you still feel that way or would the Code X match that description better? Keep up the great work, your fellow league bowlers appreciate it!
NormanKahler ball motion wise, the code red remains the smooth controllable and more versatile because it’s a bit weaker than the Code X. It’s the asym hyroad. The Code X would be a ball to start with if you want to burn in the oil a bit if it’s fresh and you have a squirrelly reaction out of the Code Red.
tnjrcfl1 I think out of the box, maybe but this will be more usable than say a Sure Lock for example. Just let the cover lane shine and it will be very usable on medium is my guess from experience.
TamerBowling I will put your hypothesis to the test sir. Sold my torrent and intense to my team mate, so ill pick this up tomorrow and get some lane time on it, look fwd to the testing:)
Yeah it's got its place in the overall offering though. I have a Code Perfect that sits in the bag 95% of the time... until I get out there and see that the oil man has decided to take out his life's frustrations on us with a 35 mL/42ft shot instead of the typical 22/39.
Shaun McIsaac my house loves throwing huge puddles and I've got 4 stupid strong heavy oil pcs in locker. I like this cover, just don't really need yet another
Johnson Tako ok. The marvel pearl is the benchmark, the most versatile middle of the road ball for house and sport shots. Can be easily manipulated with cover changes. The Intense is probably the strongest of the 3. The cover is strong and a bit smoother than the Fused. The Fused has more defined shape downlane so could create a bit more angle than the intense. A little surface on the Intense makes it a ridiculously strong ball. Start from there.
TamerBowling Thanks for youe advice! Because I have a tropical storm so im looking forward for another ball that is different in my arsenal. I'll leave out the intense but it's still gonna be a tough choice to choose between the Marvel and the Fused...
Jordan Matthews in terms of being an asym, I guess yes. But keep in mind the show off is very strong for the money. But a new ball will likely give you more now. This ball will feel a little snappier down lane.
Very nice review. But it seem from the tone of your voice. There just something missing about this ball. Or it has to be fine tuned for it to work. I might have missed it but does this ball need allot of oil. Lanes i go to put a thin layer of oil. So it disappears very quick. You and Luke make the best bowling videos. Keep up the great work.
CplusE2 thanks. I actually really like the ball but I am trying to be objective with what we’re seeing. This ball is designed for medium to medium/high. Not the strongest thing out there but strong. So think under the Sure Lock. Out of box it will chew up some oil yes.
4 testers in title, I counted 5 in video  Anyway, how does this compare to the Sure Lock? Ball looks a couple boards weaker, with less length
Bradley Walker if I recall, this was pretty much the only option. Ball would not make the move with more open angles for Bryan. Remember this is a 48ft sport pattern.
They are so different from each other so hard to say. Idol is very rolly and smooth. The Code X is longer with a more snappy motion. They both could theoretically handle heavier volumes.
TamerBowling right now i have a Code red love the Code line i bowl 2handed i am stuck between these two balls 🤔 i have tried the nano phaze 2 to much snap looking for something smoother
Others who have the Alpha thought the Code X is really close out of box. In terms of strength, it is above both. But do not confuse strength with board coverage necessarily since strength is relative to the condition.
As a left hander struggling with my release. I appreciate your videos.

Thanks for your thorough and objective reviews
Guy loves the code x!
Nice video...very informative. What's your experience on its match with Brunswick 's quatum bias white (performance for heavy hook?)
mikewinburn haven’t tested the bias.

And yet another ridiculous strong storm piece I don't need in my bag, yet... haha

When I found out the code x was coming out I said I don’t need this ball because I already have an asymmetrical solid. Then I got one drilled.
Hey Tamer! Im having a dilemma of getting either the marvel, intense or hypercell fused . Please break it down and advice me!
Johnson Tako ok. The marvel pearl is the benchmark, the most versatile middle of the road ball for house and sport shots. Can be easily manipulated with cover changes. How does this compare to the Pyramid Curse? Are they different enough to consider purchasing?
David Gilbert the curse is more comparable to the hyroad so I would say yes it’s worth considering as a step up.
is this going to be an upgrade for me given that I am using a Roto Grip Show Off?
Jordan Matthews in terms of being an asym, I guess yes. But keep in mind the show off is very strong for the money. But a new ball will likely give you more now. This ball will feel a little snappier down lane.

tamer how do you all get all these balls, do you own a proshop?
4 testers in title, I counted 5 in video
Anyway, how does this compare to the Sure Lock? Ball looks a couple boards weaker, with less length
Demon of Razgriz thanks. Yes I would say a couple of boards weaker but also a more defined downlane motion.
How does this ball compare with the Storm IQ Tour Fusion?
Rolls earlier and stronger overall.
So I have a storm code red which hooks a lot for me but I need something that hooks a lot more for my state and Pepsi tournement
Soy Nation code x will hook more when seeing more volume of oil.
Instead of taking such a direct line on the sport shot, could Brian move right to creat more angle?
Bradley Walker if I recall, this was pretty much the only option. Ball would not make the move with more open angles for Bryan. Remember this is a 48ft sport pattern.
Would you go with the Roto Grip Idol over the Storm Code X on Medium to heavy oil?
They are so different from each other so hard to say. Idol is very rolly and smooth. The Code X is longer with a more snappy motion. They both could theoretically handle heavier volumes.
TamerBowling right now i have a Code red love the Code line i bowl 2handed i am stuck between these two balls 🤔 i have tried the nano phaze 2 to much snap looking for something smoother
David Martinez smoother would be the idol.
Thanks.
So is this ball stronger than the Torrent? Also great video!
Kevin Christion thanks. Much stronger than the Torrent.
I like my Torrent but I just wanted something stronger, thank you!
How does this ball compare to the Jackal Ghost?
Ghost is a bit stronger overall and has a smoother transition from skid to hook to roll.
What is stronger a codex or a rotogrip no rules
Wich one is best storm x or hammer ripD ?
ddb records totally different balls. Code x will lane shine and be pretty usable on house conditions.
How would you compare this to the Halo
I KNOW WHO YOU ARE halo is stronger and earlier. Halo handles more oil.
Would this be a good ball for Medium-high speed player with low revs? (I’m looking to use it on Medium to heavy oil)
Virginian I would think so. It seemed to match up well to many different styles.
Is this stronger than the Alpha Crux? Will this go between the Code Black and the Soniq or Ahead of the Black and then the Soniq?
Others who have the Alpha thought the Code X is really close out of box. In terms of strength, it is above both. But do not confuse strength with board coverage necessarily since strength is relative to the condition.
Thanks! Where can i send you a message? i have some questions that i want to ask. thanks.
ok thanks. where can i send you a message directly? i have some questions that i would like to ask you. thanks

Love your videos, this ball is a piece of shit . I have one and I don't like it and I'm a 230 bowler and a pba member
