Hey. Randomly came across your video, and I had some thoughs about your gameplay: 1) For typical DPS (that like crit rate & crit dmg such as Harumasa, Ellen, etc.) you usually really really wanna blow your load in a stun window only. Which means if an enemy ISN'T stunned, swap to Lycaon / Anby until they are. Parrying is good and applies extra stun, but after the parry - switch right back to your stunner. 2) "Fanning" with Soukaku before the fight doesn't give buffs - it just gives you stacks for her frost ball thingies. Whenever she plants her banner into the ground, and you swap to your next agent - that agent will get an ATK buff. The buff is doubled if blue gremlin had 3 frost ball thingies. That also means the agent after Soukaku should ALWAYS be your main DPS. In you run you had Lycaon receive Soukakus ATK buff - which made me sad :( So ideally you Start off with Lycaon, stay on him, parry occasionally to Soukaku - use her E skill to get to 3 stacks - back to Lycaon until stunned. Then for the chain attack oder: Remember, that Lycaon applies a DMG modifier, when he hits a stunned enemy - so let him tap the bad guy at the start. Then use Soukaku, in her chain attack she plants her banner - and giving the next agent ATK buff (doubled if she has 3 stacks!) Lastly Harumasa - with a stun window, DMG bonus from Lycaon and ATK from Soukaku, blow you entire load as quickly and violently as you can. Anyways, good luck with you Shiyu adventures going forward! ps: I get it, I have Miyabi too, and she makes me forget how to properly play too 🙃
@@koseoh I will add that in certain instances staying on your DPS is the right call. I haven't really played with Harumasa but for Ellen and Miyabi, it can be beneficial to only change into Lycaon to use full charge EX special (Lowers Ice RES by 30% for 30 sec) and Soukaku, for the buff. That's not to say that there isn't windows for adding Daze. For example Miyabi's fully charged basic (With 6 charges) stunlocks almost every enemy in the game, and you can switch to Lycaon to build free daze, or switch to Soukaku to begin building her Banner for a better burst window. Miyabi if you expended all 6 charges will do the full animation and damage regardless. Please note though that for Miyabi's charged attack, it might be better not to switch out if it would've triggered Frostburn anomaly as "Off field" characters can't trigger Anomaly effects. Also I can see you have Miyabi at M2. Which is a very good place to have her at. The 15% free crit-rate buff at M2 makes it far easier to reach her Talent's effects without compromising on damage. Also the stack gain on the final attack is super nice. Outside of M6, her M1 and M2 are quite honestly her impactful Cinema. M1's primary effect being that she can now effectively play outside of Anomaly teams, being able to remove Frostburn herself. (The defense reduction is nice too)
Also little known tech with Soukaku, if you hold down your attack button after defensive parrying with her, she'll Fly The Flag (plant it) straight from her follow up attack and enable immediate quick assist rather than the usual delayed one.
@@koseoh although this is the case for Harumasa. He can actually be used in another way. While playing in BattleTower mode. There are certain mini-boss that Harumasa can *stagger lock* them. So they can’t attack, dodge, or anything. Allowing you to deal more damage, safely. A combo I like to do is, Miyabi 3 charge basic attack, swap to Harumasa (should be free slashes already generated on field) then immediately start slashing the fk out of whatever it is. Works great vs Jane Doe in BattleTower. She can’t escape. So you don’t have to, only use Harumasa when an enemy is stunned. For BattleTower that is.

Once you do clear up to 30 though, it'll be a slightly mixed rotation of the same bosses and enemies. 1-30 is the learning curve to get over. 30 and onward is just refining on your technique. Just take your time. You got 10 mins per fight. Fr, I literally spent a good minute or two at floor 80 running away from Pompeii just to calm my nerves.
@trollz5485 to me whats difficult is getting that 3 stars but when it comes to surviving it's pretty easy, though this month the most difficult deadly assault is the giant mech it makes bringer look trash

This was fun to watch, haha. Also, for the disputed node, the aim is to stay alive, not to beat it in 5 minutes unlike the critical node. So you can take your time and dodge the enemies. Try not to get too frazzled or you'll miss dodge and parry timings. Another thing, for the electro arm guy, try using an anomaly agent or an agent of a different element that electric, because you can stagger him if he charges his arm up and you inflict a different anomaly on him. also one thing i did not see others saying about the second half boss is he buffs himself with a self shock state. you want to apply any other element then electric to trigger disorder and debuff him, makes the fight easier if you has a main DPS and supports that arent that element for him.
Enjoyable vid, HUGE tip for ya though: Soukaku needs to be placed directly before Harumasa (or whichever DPS you're using) because she has a MASSIVE 1000 atk buff that only gets transferred to the NEX character in the lineup. In this case you're giving her atk buff to Lycaon, which is a bit less than useless. The only way to transfer het atk backwards is to start a chain with the banner and then swap to Harumasa.
Hey. I found your channel today and noticed we had the same ice team! Word of advice. When using Miyabis break (Use all 6 stacks under hp) or after Miyabi uses her EX special twice in a row., switch to soukaku in the middle of the break/Miyabi EX special, for some free EX special hits. Soukakus EX special does a ton of damage and it’s the perfect way to use her energy and finish Shiyu faster. Also, you can trigger Soukakus flag move after a quick assist by holding the basic attack button. Hope that helps next Shiyu Sunday!
Nah this is to relatable, I have a good enough main team but my second team is unusable. I'd literally have to fight these bosses for hours to beat them
I've been playing for a month and was stuck on D7-8 for 2 days, D8 was a total nightmare for my 2nd team then i added Ben to my 2nd team and finally cleared D8
Never skip support window/rotation to increase damage :) You can try left switching (press C instead of space by default key) to fully maximize your support's shred and buff against stunned enemies. Given that, you need to compose your team by this order: stun, support, DPS (daze team) / sub DPS, support, main DPS (usually for disorder teams like mono-electro, electro-frost, pyro-physical) Optional which is a bit important for Haramusa but can be used to any team is when doing chain attack, do support chain then stop with your DPS (you can wait selection or press middle mouse button) to give more stun duration for your DPS and not with your stun character damage.
as an Ellen main, there are some tips I can give you, but I don't know if its gonna be useful for Harumasa. you start the fight with getting full stack of your DPS on enemy (Charge attack with Ellen and Harumasa's ball things) then you hit Lycaon's Charged EX skill twice, and when you charge the second one, switch to Soukaku, EX skill twice. then back to Lycaon to stun the Enemy. its better if you hit the third EX skill on Soukaku and pass the buff to your DPS before the enemy is stunned, so you have more time to deal damage, specially for Harumasa. for your team setup with Soukaku, she has to be before your DPS. if your DPS is in first slot, she's going third slot. otherwise your DPS won't get her ATK buff and you lose a lot of damage. her first two stacks give up to 500 ATK. with the third stack, the ATK buff is doubled and gives an additional ice damage bonus to the entire team. Lycaon's charged EX skill also reduces enemy's ice damage resistance. so these two don't work great with Harumasa, and he's also a difficult character to master.
You can totally finish this with absolutely horribly geared teams. My 1st full S rank critical shiyu had a team with a fully built burnice, a discless piper and a horribly disced caesar, then fully build Yanagi with a horribly built Lycaon and soukaku on the other side. It is Insanely lenient.
Haru doesn’t really come on field until the enemy is stunned. He’s more of a burst dps than an on fielder. RUclips named yoji has nice haru speed runs and a guide that shows how to do his 13 dash combo. I’d say getting qingyi would be really good if u plan on using him. Astra more of a luxury pull. His bis team with qingyi Nicole is already really good.
Lol I was like you man. It’s just the upgrades trust me. Those w-engines and core skills MATTER. Just save up that energy and blow it farming core skills. After that it’s the leveling everything up which you can do slower over time just by playing the little events and stuff. If the section 6 event didn’t leave yet it’s a good place to get started with getting the material for free.
There's so many things to improve on. Just focus on levelling your acc to much higher lvls so you can max out your main dps agents and their skill lvls. Shiyu or any permanent end game content should be the least of your concerns coz no way you're clearing em fully with lv50 agents no matter how skillfully good you are at maximizing dps or dodging attacks coz the dmg just isnt there yet. I cleared my first shiyu when i was at Proxy lvl 53 and I havent touch shiyu lv 5-7 before that coz I knew my limits after doing a few test runs. So, first. Get your main dps to 60 then start grinding for discs and hunt for good or correct substats. ZZZ is a game of stats and lvls. Skill does help but thats useless if your stats arent up to par. And one more thing, if you're running a crit rate/crit dmg dps for example like Harumasa/Ellen/Zhuyuan, dont bring em out if the enemies arent stunned yet coz they do big bursts of dmg during stun windows and barely does shit when enemies are still not dazed. Most of the time, the stunners are the ones on field doing work rather than the dps types i mentioned.
you need to fight Razor with anomaly characters as they stun him more and lower his attack. trying to do dps/stun against him is painful. just have miyabi fight razor and haru face the dog and you'll do much better

Just gotta get the enemy's timings down is all. ^^; I also find it comical that you went in there with one of the most technically intense characters and a whole undergeared squad. XD Makes me wanna try this challenge. Please post how you do in the Battle Tower when you get to it. :3
I would say skill issue, but I have a j/b disorder and a miyabi team -you're overall using stunners wrong (they need to be on field 100% if they're not stunned ._.) -you need to use soukaku's e 2 times BEFORE battle then use the FIRST chain attack into her when stunned, and the next to your dps -never use that harumasa team again. (harumasa needs def shred OR pen ratio from nicole and rina respectively, no need for attack buffs, and lycaon is there for.. stun multiplier I guess.)
It was pretty easy to me, and look that my two teams that i used was Astro yao - Grace - Harumasa, Lighter - Lucy - Soldier 11, all in lvl 50(only grace lvl 40), was a little hard with the team of astro yao but i made to the other part in 7.12 minutes, 2 minutes later i was wining against the other one
... goodluck on the tower. My best advice is to go to the practice mode and get the hang of your teams. Watch guides on detailed combat mechanics on youtube or bilibili
As a HaRdcOre Gamer, you are doing decent. You just need more Supports built up. Shiyu Defense requires good Supports to buff/debuff enemies for your Main DPS. Such as Nicole, Shikaku, and Lucy.
why does it seem like harumasa has negative def man I swear, no matter what I'm facing he's always half dead lol don't have that issue with no one else
Im suffering from not having jane and burnice for stages that needs physical and fire 😭😭😭😭😭 i refuse to build piper to level 60 , and i refuse to pull evelyn if she isnt as strong .
shiyu defense isn´t a big deal if you know the mechanics of your team and got all members at lvl 60. got everything on rank S - really problematic is the damn battle tower. can´t get past level 20 (Jane lvl70) :D
For the 1st boss you can do like 3 defensive assists- that will break the dog's armor. Hence you can kill it much faster. FYI dunno if this is commented already cuz theres a lot of comments.
Do you know that the second enemy has a different weakness? I think (don't quote me) the second has a weakness to fire, so you might be making it harder for yourself if you keep that team. I hope that you don't take what I said the wrong way, just trying to help out. Keep up the good work!
Try to practice on your dodging and counters that mode is not timed try to keep your agent alive😅 i recommend big ben he got a extra way to mitigate damage.

sorry but, on harumasa´s team, you have it so sokaku boosts lycaon instead of harumasa, and, but seem to be a good player, just build your caracters more, as they stand, they are too weak
Shiyu defense is too easy lol i dont even have a cracked acc and i do 1min30 to 2min clears from 4 to 7, DA is way way harder or trying to reach tower floor 100

Prioritize maxing out harumasa dodge attack and core passive first because that's where most harumasa damage come in

It was pretty easy to me, and look that my two teams that i used was Astro yao - Grace - Harumasa, Lighter - Lucy - Soldier 11, all in lvl 50(only grace lvl 40), was a little hard with the team of astro yao but i made to the other part in 7.12 minutes, 2 minutes later i was wining against the other one

My best advice is to go to the practice mode and get the hang of your teams.

Search up techs for your characters and techs in combat, because it will make you’re time easier.
As a HaRdcOre Gamer, you are doing decent. You just need more Supports built up. Shiyu Defense requires good Supports to buff/debuff enemies for your Main DPS. Such as Nicole, Shikaku, and Lucy.

The only character i went all out is miyabi shes stacket at 1 copy
shiyu defense isn´t a big deal if you know the mechanics of your team and got all members at lvl 60. got everything on rank S - really problematic is the damn battle tower. can´t get past level 20 (Jane lvl70) :D

For the 1st boss you can do like 3 defensive assists- that will break the dog's armor. Hence you can kill it much faster. FYI

Do you know that the second enemy has a different weakness? I think (don't quote me) the second has a weakness to fire, so you might be making it harder for yourself if you keep that team. I hope that you don't take what I said the wrong way, just trying to help out. Keep up the good work!

I think once your team goes 60 and level up your skill's level.You will be fine.
Try to practice on your dodging and counters that mode is not timed try to keep your agent alive😅 i recommend big ben he got a extra way to mitigate damage.

sorry but, on harumasa´s team, you have it so sokaku boosts lycaon instead of harumasa, and, but seem to be a good player, just build your caracters more, as they stand, they are too weak
And they said this game is too easy coz can clear everything just by doing mindless spam click.. 😅

Shiyu defense is too easy lol i dont even have a cracked acc and i do 1min30 to 2min clears from 4 to 7, DA is way way harder or trying to reach tower floor 100

Bro clearly doesn’t play him and it shows LMAO. harumasa may not be fun for everyone but is dmg is definitely not bad, I can easily complete shiyu defense with him and once you get a hang of his gameplay it gets really fun ngl
