We have a Moody 34 called Sun and Air and normally visit the Crouch two or three times in a season. The pre-cut metal is a significant advance. When I made mine I had to spend several days hacksawing stainless-steel, which wasn't very fun! Anyone curious can find my construction blog and follow-up posts here tammynorie.wordpress.com/tag/hebridean/
Nice kit. I was thinking about building Walt Murray design but this kit would save so much time! I think I might order the hardware kit without timber. I hope you ship to US.
Hi, I'm just waiting for my H2 kit to arrive.....definitely inspired by watching your videos. Can you remember what size plywood sheet I need for marking out? Regards, Mike
Hi Michael, sorry, no. But the process is really straightforward. A couple of cuts with a hacksaw and chisel out the core of grouve, then I used a round rasp and a finger width belt sander to open it out. You can also wrap the turret with sandpaper and use it to sand with. All you need to do is NOT rush it. I tended to keep the camera away while sanding for obvious reasons. The instructions with the plans for this are really clear. Hope this helps, Ian
Knapweed, see my previous answers above. Sorry but I didn't video the cutting, but the use of the turret wrapped in sandpaper is probably be the best approach for the final fit
I would contact the manufacturer for his opinion. My feeling is that it might be a bit lightweight, but it also depends on how easily the boat handles when properly trimmed. Any windvane can be overpowered if the sail trim is not maintained especially in high winds. Hope this helps.

You need to go to www.windvaneselfsteering.co.uk who are the manufacturers. I just assembled a kit and filmed it.
