Every story needs an enemy to root against, its what moves things forward.
This makes me love the guy. Masive troll and im here for it.
Lol he’s my new favourite
fr, i love seeing people like him every once in a while you know. A good movie aint good without a good vilain. I just said good lots of times...
Yeah, something to make it a little less boring. Drama has ruined everything lmao.
was at London this past weekend (LANdon 3.0) - Comm was super cool with everyone. Met him, talked to him and he was both really kind with everyone that approached but treated everyone with respect. It's clear that his trash talking in game is not representative of him outside the game at all.
Every story needs a villain he’s just playing his part
I see you're a Fellow Pxrge fan
Can we take a moment to appreciate the quality and the effort put in this video

man, the way sunlesskhan researches these documentarys and tells them. is literally the best, i wish he would do documentarys on things outside of rocket league too, defintly would watch these.
Damn after watching rlcs for years, I recently haven't watched/played as much for whatever reason... and I miss this?? That is insane! Thanks for the video man, I'll probably start getting back into rl again now
Say what you want about the man, it takes MASSIVE balls to pull this off. To face audience and others be against you and not lose composure.
Nah, balls presumes he was afraid of it. I think he simply feeds off of it in an antagonistic way. I don't think he was afraid to do it, I think he was afraid not to do it.
Yeah this has nothing to do with balls, and everything to do with comm not being a good person with a decent morality.
he's just an attention whore. doesn't matter if it's good or bad, he just craves being the center of attention.
@@007LvB comm is just competitive grow up, trash talk has been apart of sports for so long. If you can’t take the heat get out! Imagine losing to demos!!!! NRG is not good !
@@MattMoeMedia And what part of you thinks trash talk in general is a good thing? It's hurtful and vindictive, and a telltale of immaturity and lack of respect. I know there's a lot of it, but most RL players are teenagers who lack good manners.
Regarding your first point, I'm quite grown up, thank you - more than you, I suspect.
The man is a legend,
the definition of a troll and y'all gave him the encouragement to keep doing it. An unskilled pro making it to the finals.
Unskilled?????
@@fedegozz256 yes, we have to keep feeding the troll. Keep the booing and name calling. I would like to see him in the finals again.
I know these two communities are completely different but in the Smash Bros. community, trash talking is widely accepted and utilized. Trash talking can make people flustered which makes them do more panic options and play more aggressive which can make them lose. What separates the pros is that they can keep cool and collected. Trash talkers spend so much energy being toxic that it actually takes away from their gameplay. If you can stay collected, winning against people who spend their energy trying to be toxic should be an easier task than someone who doesn't trash talk. That's why only a few pros can succeed while trash talking.
The communities may be different, but this still applies here which is why I think it should be accepted, and it makes the match more entertaining if you are the spectator, it can be very frustrating and sometimes unhealthy I think if taken to far (By the players). Cheers!
I think it's immature and poor sportsmanship and just teaches kids playing the game to be even more annoying and toxic. We should draw the line at stuff that would get you carded in a real sport, and that includes yelling at and cussing out the other team.
@@estebandelasexface8193 lol another reason to not watch soccer i guess cuz other sports have plenty of trash talk
@Megamickel yeah but I mean, they can get warned or carded for it, that's my point.
tbh MKleo and comm are similar
In a industry where there is such a big problem with toxicity, trash talking like that on the stage shouldn't be allowed at all
how tf is there a big problem with toxicity when a dude who says "u suck" is unheard of an gets an insane amount of attention💀
Thanks for the high quality docu-style videos, really enjoy them and know it takes a lot of time to get it all put together. Appreciate you and your storytelling abilities
Amazingly put together, can't fathom the amount of time and research put into this. Well done, definitely my favorite youtuber.
I don't pay attention to RLCS at all, but Comm has just become my favorite pro. What a savage
it's a tactic. Imagine being mad at a player in ice hockey for tackling
09:39 Bro is playing Doom in Rocket league 💀
being able to troll in pro should be hard af tho, respect to him 🤣
easily one of my favorite teams just because of the 3 wildly different playstyles working and meshing beautifully
comm is the demo meta
beastmode is the mechanics
torment is the defense to put it all together
love this team and love comm
One thing is for sure comm has 3 records. You might be thinking "what how" well he got the demos he has the fastest time to make a crowd hate him and making squishy hate him forever.
I’m an NRG fan and also a mild Comm fan. I think he went too far against endpoint but I think his trashtalk is a breath of fresh air that we haven’t taken since Retals was young. What he has done for the competitiveness and stakes of RLCS cant be denied and his antics only make the esport better
It's embarrassing, bitch plays video games and thinks he's Conor McGregor while having a face that says he'd run crying for his mammy if someone squared up to him, nevermind throw a punch
This is the only valid take. Comm played better than any of the NRG players that series anyway (hurts to admit), the bumps were just funny. As a long-time NRG fan from Europe I love Comm just because of how wound up people on my feeds get 💀
@@reubenkimber what hurts me so much more than Comm's good performance in that series is how NRG also were doing so much better than they have in a long time but after this regional they just reset. Also sucks that NRG gets even more hate from their own fans than opposing fans
i agree with everything expect the part where you said comm went too far against endpoint
@@michael04__806 just a little. Calling out Wave’s name was uncalled for, but if he had left that part out it would’ve been ok
Sunless your content has been POPPING OFF recently! 🔥
I can already see how NRG shifted their playstyle to better combat the demos. Cant wait to see it in action
Comm not talking shit in victory is what says the most. Humble in victory, ruthless in war.
Yeah when your on the the field you should expect trash talk or anything thing but as long as you stop after the game because it is just part of the game
I did notice that when making this video - Comm talks during the game and is quiet after. Most wait until the victory is secured.
@@SunlessKhan 100%, at least it shows that he has a pair haha, most cowards will wait for the lead or to win before the trash starts to come out... which is kinda weak imo
Comm is the luka doncic of Rocket League confirmed
To be capable of demoing AND staying in position (with the scoring skills to boot) is just impressive. RL players want that, even if they'll complain that it's "toxic".
Demos are and will always be part. He did his role, sometimes winning the mental battle is a key to beating very skilled people
I’ve never thought more than “well, he’s just a douche” about the guy. I didn’t know people adamantly HATED him 😂
It's funny people think he is a douche just because of how he plays and acts during the games, though I get it when that is all you see. When other pros talk about him that actually know him though they say he is one of the most genuinely nice dudes in the community. I'm just happy he has decided to take this role and bring some more life to the comp scene.
@@mncllama well that’s what people are gonna think when they don’t care to watch anymore of the guy. Why are they gonna invest more time in a douche? Sportsmanship is one of the most important things to a lot of people so you can’t blame them no matter how nice a guy in person.
@@fugoo8912 I agree, I wasn’t arguing that more so just acknowledging it. Either way it is great for the scene. Adds narrative
@@mncllama true, can’t have legends without villains. Could become a leffen situation.
Why would you be surprised people hate a douche? Especially one whose whole schtick is being overtly obnoxious and attention grabbing
At the end of the day it's all entertainment, and having a good villain to root against is entertaining, I see this being great for the competitive scene
Of course the redditors are complaining about him 5:15
