- The very talented and beautiful Linda Ronstadt is thanked by Kermit the Frog for being Jim Henson's featured guest. Linda Ronstadt sang the song "It's In His Kiss" solo during her May 1980 television appearance on The Muppet Show. Linda had planned to cut a remake of "The Shoop Shoop Song" with Nicolette Larson but the idea was abandoned.
The moment Linda opens her mouth to sing, amazing things happened. You have gotta love her!! Even Kermit is helplessly in love with Linda Ronstadt !!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Literally.

Linda's outfit at the end is from the HBO concert so this must have been around the time of Mad Love. If she had planned to include The Shoop Shoop Song in it, that would have been wild! She could even have waited to put it in Get Closer and that would have been even better. It would have fit right in with People Gonna Talk, It's Gonna Work Out Fine, and Tell Him. Too bad it never happened.

@@lnl3237 Linda sang The Shoop Shoop Song with Phoebe Snow on SNL the previous year, likely before she even started recording Mad Love. And then she sang it again on The Muppet Show, just after the album was released. So maybe it was really being considered for the album, or maybe I'm just fantasizing lol.
@@wewper Fantasize away...Linda did that for legions of fans. Love that performance with Phoebe. They had a ball doing it. They also did another one about "Married Men."
