This is the first video of yours that I have watched. Wow! You are sooo talented. I subscribed after the first few pages. Your eye for detail and the depth you get in your pages is beautiful. I haven't seen all the books you have used but I'm making a wish list as I'm watching. I started colouring last year but still call myself a beginner because I haven't coloured a lot. I'm so intimated by the pages and find it really hard getting my colour selection right. I either use to many different colours or they don't coordinate. I like to do colour alongs as I think this will help me develop my colour selecting. I hope you have tutorials on them as I'd love to learn from you.

I love your work!!! I was looking to see if anyone used distress inks for coloring book page backgrounds, and found you! I'm a papercrafter, too and was thinking it would be easier and somewhat faster than using pastels or pencils. I'm new to coloring books and really appreciate you sharing your talent, methods and ideas. Do you do the background first before you color the rest? Thanks for sharing!
Hi Grace, I do the background usually last, but have done it at the same time in sometimes... I like to ink the subject first then use colored pencils to color over and shade, add dimension, and define areas :) Happy crafting! TFW
Oh my gosh - all of your pages are absolutely gorgeous! When you use distress inks - do you spray a fixative on the page when completed? Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, I have not used any fixative on my pages, distress inks are fade resistant and acid free. They are however a water-based dye ink meaning the will react to water/liquids and change the look. If you want to add a fixative you should do a test on a separate sheet to see if the ink will have a reaction to the fixative you want to use.

Thank you, I just use what I have handy. Yes you could use any ink dauber you would like just play around on a separate paper to check out what works best for you, then commit to your book page. TFW
Hi Patti, I’m not sure she has done a tutorial on the background circles but if she hasn’t, the technique is called Boca technique, and you can RUclips it. There are a lot of tutorials on the technique. Hope this helps. I’m sure by now you have found it.
