Lowko said Clem was playing like a zerg in game one, but forgot to mention that Serral was playing like a Terran in game five
it's almost like a music composition. Clem opening with zerg strat and winning and Serral taking back with terran strat at the end. what a master piece.
Yach, that unrelenting harassment was insane! Zerg units and creep everywhere.

The last game of Serral was so unorthodox, that clem didn't know how to react to this. Brilliant

Actually, Erik's zerg openers first caught attention playing against dark by walling his natural. You really should to see how he totally destroyed the zvz meta that have dominated the pro scene for such a long time.

that was called extractor trick back a few years when everyone does it. I particular remember Scarlette did that and it fell out of interest since people realised the margin it gains is minimal or even inferior to traditional drone production.
sounds like noone realised back then this was a great idea to avoid their natural being blocked

@@Jabawalk people thought blocking natural was useless, which against dark it almost is. Blocking natural is good against ppl like serral and Scarlett nowadays, people who like to build 6-12 Ling's then go to 60drones and 8 queens lol. When u go 4-6 Ling's then mass roaches on 1 base it doesn't matter
I'm a terran, I'm inspired, I now believe I can control 27 control groups at 400 apm
Don't forget to send the libs on the other side of the map after EMP the second infestor that try to shut down the medivac you split.

Title was not clickbait, it was indeed the greatest SC2 games I've seen in a while! Maybe even ever~
That last game was fantastic. It's easy to start thinking of players like Serral as a machine that relies on perfect execution to win, but then he does... whatever that was, and it's amazing.
all he did was abuse queens the most broken affordable cost effective unit in the game.

Clem looked so scary for the first 3 games, but all hail the king of SC2
We just had four Ts in the GSL. As good as Clem is, my dog could get to Diamond with T right now.
Serral literally gave me chills with that complete change of playstyle, loved the casting as well. Can really feel that lowko loves what he’s doing~
1:18:00 I love how Serial created a northeast highway, he could have really utilized that to move an army around the side quickly without Clem noticing
I think Clem was pretty exhausted by the fifth game. Could tell from his lack of response to Serral's new strategy
Serral is UNREAL in Game 5.
queen is "reine" in french. and it's pronounce like "ren" with french "r".
This series was incredible. Most of the time i watch it in 1.5 but this time i had to slow it down to properly see everything. I think that tiredness of Clem was the key factor at the end. But my frenchboy played like a champ. so tasty.
After seeing MaxPax vs Serral and this one, i realy think balance is as close as possible to perfection.
Not really. Serral is way stronger, that is way he's ahead of the pack. Look at what happened to the other Zergs. Dark, Solar, Reynor barely hanging on to rank 8,9,10 of Aligulac. But I doubt Zerg will be buffed because Serral is too strong. Not to mention TvP is hella imbalanced in favor of Terran. For ZvT, it's mostly the ghosts at late game that are imba.

As someone who was mostly active during the days when Clem dominated or was atleast ranked 1st in Aligulac, I’m extremely happy that he is being featured more on the channel again. I miss the days when he’d win ~90% against Zerg but he is still young, hope to see more great things from him in the future.
Lowko math:
1. 2 tanks die: lots of tanks die
2. 5 zerglings get killed: a couple zerglings die

Well in terms of cost, 5 zeglings dead are like 2 clicks and some crystals whereas 2 tanks are expensive. Well I don't play Sc2 anymore but I'm pretty sure I'm right
at the moment of the tanks dying, he lost 100% of the tanks he owned, which is a lot :P
Serral remains at Top 1 Aligulac. Dark, Solar, Reynor have fell to 8,9,10. This shows the effects of the nerfs to Zerg and buffs to Terran especially. But this also shows the longevity of Serral through up and downs of patches.
Terran kids will keep crying about how broken Zerg is when Serral dominates this year like he did in 2018, while Terran is by far the most broken race at every single aspect of the game.
I laughed out loud when Lowko sagely said a lot of marines have fallen too. Then he checks the units lost- only 1 died. He laughed too! Best SC2 caster since Husky.
Serral the Epitome of the Zerg, Symboilize adaptation and evolution.

May god I don't usually comment on videos but I simply HAVE TO under Videos with serral! This guy isn't playing anymore, he is literally creating the kind of awe-inspiring art that only mastery can bring. At his best moments a Da Vinci of SCII. Just gotta love it. Thanks for casting this marvel!

I love that serral used the queen creep drops. I wanted to do this for ages but never had the spare APM and i wondered whenever zergs would start doing that because it's so annoying for the opponent.

It is scary seeing Serral evolves from late game overpowering swarm APM player to RTS experimental risk based player...except he commits almost zero execution error while chaining the combo.
Concussive shells is my favorite Roach upgrade.

Incredible last game. So awesome to see that strategy.
Its actually insane that Serral has these strategies up his sleeve. It often feels like hes holding those back in order to safe them for important matches. Watching the last game i feel puzzled why it isnt meta in SC2 to just load queens in ovies to spread creep in this manner. Clem has 3 Orbitals but isnt able to clear creep cause they are out of energy. I guess the only way to counter this would be with a raven, yet still difficult to approach. I hope to see plays like this more often.
It’s always amazing to see Clem go toe to toe with the GOAT. Was genuinely amazed to see him seemingly dismantle Serral those first two games.

@LowkoTV you can right click the burrow button for banelings to have them auto unburrow when enemy forces walk over them, so you don't have to manually detonate them.

This looked like a classic case of, slow and steady, wins the race.
Clem gave everything in those opening matches and was simply insanely good.
Whereas Serral seemed a bit off the pace in the opening matches but then upped his gears while Clem was starting to feel Fatigue.
it is the mark of any great champion, in any profession, to be able to pull a rabbit out of the hat, when their back is against the wall.

Game 4 opening was so crisp by Serral. Yeah perfect defense from Clem, but still enable a great transition and the subtle illusion of drone count was really cool. I’m sure those 8 lings crush many Terrans haha. All hail the king.

You tend to be overly enthusiastic about good Starcraft games or players. However, this is indeed THE BEST DAMN STARCRAFT SERIES I EVER SEEN! It is rare to see such a title fully delivering on what it promises. This video was an absolute treat to watch.

That "pair" thing is also a thing in Hungarian :D We also often use "a pair of" to describe "a few" instead of two - wierd, but too common, so I have not experienced people getting mad about it yet XD
