It’s my impression that Anthony Harvey brings out the best in Angelina. The other singers in this montage were all quite good and I expected Angelina to perform at that level but her rendition rises above the others.

I guess I am just spoiled. Perhaps, it's just rude of me. Male or female does not matter...she is the yardstick I measure every other artist by. This song belongs to her. For me, nothing comes close. I feel the same way, her voice justified makes it all sound right
Whenever Angelina wants to bring the highest degree of emotion to a ballad she's able to channel
the real emotion Billie Holiday brought to her songs, for Billie's life was a horror show by any metric
that could be applied to her life, beginning with being born to a 13 year old prostitute and finding out
her constantly not around father wound up dying when hospitals in the south refused to treat Blacks.
Having no one to mentor her, Billie had to do all she did, by herself, being the most improvisational
singer in the history of musicality. Angelina's amazing ability to make the listener believe that she
actually lived all the heartache and hardships that come across in her vocalizing is beyond extraordinary.
This gives us insight as to why Angelina stated that if not for Billie, there would be no Angelina Jordan.
And Angelina's statement was profound. I think she knew some thing…We didn't? I often wonder about a certain parallels. If I was ever to have proof of reincarnation, it would be because of Angelina...especially at those very early ages. As many of said "How?" 😇🌺

Adele writes great songs, and sings them with true passion. Charlotte S is also a wonderful singer. Her voice has a dealer tone than most of these other performers. When she was on AGT she did a couple of covers that Angelina had already done. I Put a Spill on You & Diamonds Are Forever. Today she is much improved, but to me does not capture the emotional impact that Angelina evokes.
You are correct that with her jazz influences AJ stands out against the cookie cutter covers.

Impressive how she's in the league of famous singers with her unique vibes. That makes the difference and her happiness shining through the sad songs like at her version of Gloomy Sunday
The only time I listen to songs that are that gut wrenching is when I need to face loss or pain in my life and get it through the pain and let it all out; but that is what the song is for, actually 😢 but afterwards I need to goto a hopeful or positive song because if I don't I could stay in that dark place, a place where something has ended; but this song is different, even though there is an ending, it's for the best; because love can't thrive in the dark; so its better to end it and let there be a new beginning for both parties; and don't be bitter; because much was learned for the better 😊 iam a sucker for positive hopeful songs like the last song on the 25 Adele album, Sweetest Devotion, Adele said it is a song about her son; but it sounds like a love song to me, also, I know there is kids voices in the song; but it just makes me think of new love, innocent and pure and full of life, playing in the bright sunshine, it is a beyond beautiful song that brings love into the light; where it can grow and become strong, like a child that grows into a strong reasoning adult 😅 for me Adele and Angelina Jordan sing this song masterfully, way better than the other singers in your video, I love your videos Alen, thank you 🙏

Thanks Alan, for another wonderful video. I wish Adele recovers from all that ails her. She was scheduled to begin a residency in Las Vegas on March 1, 2024, the day after Angelina's two shows, but Adele had to postpone due to health concerns.
A very good sign, seeing Angelina with members of the band she had in Vegas. I hope she rehearses often with them. Hoping we learn of more concerts in the near future.

Wow! Our Princess Angelina was the best out of the lot, by far, including our beloved Adele, who came second, in my books. The others had lovely voices but nothing unusual which made them all sound the same. 😊❤

Your video are instructive : we can ear the difference between good singers, very good singers, amazing singers like Adele, and the only in a lifetime singer like AJ (and Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin, Nina Simone, Billie Holiday ...) the ones that let you in tears not because of a sad song but because of of greatness
I do believe many do not mention Janice Joplin because they don't know her works. I wish I had kept all of my LPs from the late 50s and 60s.😇🌸

There are many good singers in this video and that Samantha seems to be even a great one but Angelina just takes it to another level. She is one of very few singers I have ever been really interested in. Normally I am more interested in guitar players or other musicians and the singing is a secondary thing to me but Angelina is a totally different case for me.
Adele has lived the heartaches she sings about, yet Angelina touches me as if she has lived these pains. Very fascinating. Thank you Alan for another great video.

" jay kent " lovely voice I'll definitely check her out . and " Charlotte summers " I've sometimes upset her fans when saying with such a powerful voice i prefer her performances when she doesn't use her full power as this performance proves , excellent performance from 1 year ago .

I certainly think, minus range, that Angelina has the best voice around today. I understand the feelings and they seem more obvious than when, let's say, Lucy Thomas sings. And except for Carina Veghiu, who's 12, again, AJ is the best around. I,personally don't like Adele, nor Amy. When people were raving about Adele, I thought she was the 2nd coming of Whitney, and when she sang, the 1st time I heard her, man, was I shocked. So, all and all, Adele nor Amy can compare, especially when AJ sings beautifully and not the whiney, twangy stuff, because it just....is...not...good. i think if AJ would concentrate more on her diction and breathing and range, who knows what she could do when she is in her mid 20s.
