    Thanks heaps for this. I wanna turn a reefer into a honey room and was going to cover the aluminium with flooring but this is far better idea. Not bad for Kiwis

      Awesome - somehow we knew this would help someone one day as we struggled to find any info on how to do it lol 😀

      haha you're not wrong, but very satisfying seeing the end result and not having the container rusting and going to waste 😀

    Hello. Maybe you remember what was the weight of removed alluminium floor?

    • @CheaperWaysNZ
      @CheaperWaysNZ  2 месяца назад +1

      Not sure exactly but was around the 200kg mark

      @@CheaperWaysNZ thank you very much. 200kg is not much. So I will construct wooden floor on top of ALU :)

    Perhaps a weird question for you but you probably know the answer. So I have a reefer container as well only I'm keeping the floor. There is one section of the floor that is bouncy. The rest is fine. I am hoping that if I add some screws and screw it down it will be okay. I just don't know what size screws to try. Any recommendations? thanks, after seeing this video I'm glad I choose to keep the floor :)

      Hey glad to be of help 😀 ... where it's bouncy is potentially where it's come away from the insulation, so you'd need to go through at least 5mm of aluminium, then about 120mm of insulation (which wouldn't be able to hold anything on it's own), then steel which is about 3-4mm thick on the bottom, so you'd probably be looking at about least 150mm tech screws with a decent impact driver could do the trick!

      @@CheaperWaysNZ Thanks this helps! Apparently these are not screws I can just walk into a hardware store and buy.. I know the screws might not fix it, but it's a relatively inexpensive thing to try, just need to track down the screws and I do have a decent impact driver.
      Ironically mine is a 40 foot and I'm using it as a fish hatchery, but where it's bouncy is one of the few spots I don't plan on putting a lot of weight.
