All the challengers' arm angles are much wider than Irina's, decreasing leverage. Furthermore, she is relying more on isometric strength to keep her arm fixed and she just puts her weight into it. The challengers are effectively trying to lift Irina's body weight with an outstretched arm. She also has a higher grip, which increases her leverage.

You're not wrong, but I would still bet on her to win with a fair start. She trains specifically in armwrestling. While she may not bench as much as these guys, I wouldn't be surprised if none of them could do a 40 lbs pronation lift. The reason she's using leverage is because she's pulling for hours against guys that are fresh. She needs to conserve her stamina as much as possible.

She got her hand position higher than all the guys so she can twist her wrist and hand down on top of theirs, it’s called the top roll technique. One of the guys used a “hook” technique where he shifted his hand and wrist towards himself so he could use his biceps and shoulders, but she moved her grip higher and top rolled him. He could have won if he re adjusted. She also uses her whole upper body and moves her whole body with her arm, generating way more strength than the men who were just using their arms and using a plain technique.

It can be seen that, as the video progresses (especially in the part she's wearing the green tank top), she goes from not giving a chance to male opponents with maybe more muscle mass to struggle slightly against a female opponent.
She also ends up massaging her shoulder because, or her arm is giving up due to the effort made in the beggining for punching above her weight, feels it stiff and can't exert enough strength, or she is experiencing discomfort in the muscle.
In the last part of the video (the one she's wearing the black kaftan over the bikini), she's uncomfortable, doesn't find the adequate grip, struggles and, before the last guy tries to challenge her, se massages again the same place, maybe because her arm is not fully rested and let's her opponent take the lead to not push her muscles or she has suffered a minor injury and her arm is not at full power

I honestly think people like her and Schoolboy are actually strong, but uses "physics" to win. It's about technique, the torque, momentum, inertia, fulcrum point etc. that allow you to win. There's probably a way to use leverage to exert and amplify a force 10 times or more than you actually put out. I would like to see her compete with the same guys she beat in a squat or dead lift or bench press contest to see her true strength.

Exactly right, she locks her arm to her body basically and uses both, that's the technique. Not only that, there was no formal countdown, and that is a big factor/advantage for a professional to be able to get that little jump on the opponent, it's absolutely huge in arm wrestling--I mean it was over in one second with nearly all these guys. I think the lack of a formal clock or countdown was a major factor (other than her being a top world competitor in her sport!). Even if there was a formal countdown, she would already have the advantage over most of the guys with her extensive experience --but without it, those guys can just forget about it, it was over before they even knew what happened

  • @mgigelli820
    @mgigelli820 4 месяца назад

She's brilliant, nice looking, with a beautiful smile, very "fit", and humble , it's nothing to do with having big muscles, but she must master a technique where she concentrates all her energy on her grip to helps her use the strength of her opponent, it wouldn't be surprising if she a Master in at least one martial art. A pleasure to watch her.

So in professional arm wrestling you're allowed to lean your body over to get more leverage on the person's arm I thought they'd make you just stand straight up and only thing that you can do is use your arms not your body weight

Ok so i stand corrected that the old rules still applied, I wasn't 100% on whether they had changed and in what way they had changed over the years but apparently they have pretty much guaranteed at least on person from each weight class is going to win because of the rule changes allowing for the standing of the matches as well as using your body weight versus how i remember it to be, This is my perception and opinion on this competition now, And before i make this comment i know this isnt a perfect comparison but its the first thing that came to my head when thinking of what it would compare to, So having said that if you have ever played video games, For example mortal combat, each character has their own special powers as well as techniques in fighting, But those of you who have played the first edition of that game should know what I'm about to say but most of us would continuously do the same move while pushing on the joystick to keep us as far to our side as possible while continuously doing the lower leg kick and when ever the enemy would get close to us he or she would automatically get kicked in the shin until they were out of life and standing their wobbling with the referee yelling Finish Him and one more strike and he is dead and we move on to the next opponent, So my point is this lady arm wrestle here has found the quickest and easiest way to knock out opponent after opponent buy using one technique just like we used to do in mortal combat, So yea its a cheap way to win but apparently it's legal.

it has nothing to do with how strong she is she is just using her weight to her advantage, those huys are untraind in how to arm wrestle. if you look closely to her arm, then you will notice its lower then a 90 degree angle as to where theres is past it. also she keeps her arm really close to her body and the stretch it out far.
    simple physics.

What's even crazier is that this chick (unlike some other famous female arm wrestlers) doesnt appear to be on significant amounts of testosterone based PEDs and is beating quite a few men here that clearly are on significant amounts of T PEDs. Doubly impressive. Technique truly is king(or Queen ;)).

She wasn't doing it by arm strength. She was throwing her body weight into it and jerking them over. Also, she has her arm close to her body, with the guys arm at an ankle away from him. Plus her elbow didn't stay on the pad.

When it comes to arm wrestling, technique can often be more important than raw strength. Here are some tips on how to improve your technique and potentially win against a muscle man in an arm wrestle:
Get into a good starting position: Your starting position can affect your leverage and power, so make sure to place your elbow on a stable surface and keep your wrist straight.
Use your body weight: Instead of relying solely on your arm strength, use your body weight to your advantage. Lean into the arm wrestle and use your shoulder and chest muscles to apply additional force.
Maintain a strong wrist: Keep your wrist straight and in-line with your forearm throughout the arm wrestle. This will help you maintain control and avoid injuries.
Focus on the "top roll" technique: The top roll technique involves using your hand to roll over your opponent's hand and apply pressure to their fingers, weakening their grip. This technique can help you gain an advantage even if you are not as strong as your opponent.
Use your opponent's strength against them: If your opponent is relying on their strength to overpower you, try using their strength against them. Instead of resisting their force, allow their arm to move towards the table and then quickly turn your wrist to gain control.
Remember, arm wrestling can be risky and can lead to injuries, so be sure to warm up properly and use caution. Good luck!
