That deep quote reminds me of a deep poem, from the Lucy poems, by William Wordsworth called “A Slumber Did My Spirit Seal”.

A touchy and dark poem, but it was one of the deepest pieces from Wordsworth, I ever read.

Toy Story 2 was my top favorite movie out of the four. Seeing that movie and hearing that song (in which I never realized it was by Sarah McLachlan), as well as Geri fixing Woody, Zurg’s “Star Wars” elevator battle, and the three thrilling airport scenes, many times as a young boy, brings back great memories.
It doesn’t leave a pale and dry face, when that song and Jessie’s life comes in place, from that movie. I’ll always be grateful for how many memories I’ve had with this one, as well as the four they’ve made.
Well, the song was written by Randy Newman. She just sung it.
@@paulytheking7365I know. That’s why I hadn’t recognized the person behind the song, until many years later, when her voice sounded very familiar and I thought “Oh, that’s Sarah McLachlan!” And Randy Newman, he definetly knew how to write music and compose it.
This song was yet another one of his nominated ones, though, along with “You’ve got a Friend in me”.

Legit this song made me cry a river every time I watched TS2 when I was little. It always made me feel like that's how my toys felt when I would give them away or have to throw them away

They don’t talk much about Randy Newman’s “We Belong Together”, in which won best song, when “You’ve got a Friend in me” was nominated, I believe, despite that song becoming their signature song, for that franchise.

That music moves my soul a lot, it reminds me that I should value my toys and the moments I spend with them. It also reminds me how much I miss the times when I was a child and almost everything was simple.
Even after growing up after all these years, watching this film, the scene where Jesse‘s owner gives her up is just so darn tearjerking. I can’t help but crying on the outside, as well as the inside every time it happens.

I lost my 20 year old cat to old age on the 22 of August, 2019. During the last few hours of her life, I laid with her. I k ew her time was coming and I was nowhere near prepared to lose her. As she had no energy left, we both laid on the living room floor. I was listening to a lot of sad music on Spotify and this song came on. I must have played it a dozen times. I cried and cried, my heart and soul hurt so much.
That night, I went to her as she lay in her bed in the middle bedroom. I told her it was okay, she had to go. “Mom and Dad are really gonna miss you sooo much. But, you have to go. It’s gonna hurt but you can’t stay. It’s okay.” I kissed her on her sweet, black forehead, covered her cold body, walked out of the room, and closed the door.
Hours later, after I had one of the most sleepless nights I’ve ever had, I checked on her… and she was gone. I miss her every day but when I hear this song, I’m automatically taken back to that day. My wife and I were devastated and gutted. Love your fur babies all you can, every single day!
