Baptism is a clear step in scripture for believers and is the demonstration of the internal work that God has done in us! There are also clear examples in scripture where forgiveness of sins was extended by Jesus without baptism (thief on the cross, woman washing his feet, etc). The passage from Mark that states what you quoted in your question, an individual "that believes and is baptized shall be saved", is followed by the qualification that those that do not believe will not be saved. Baptism is a vital element of our faith journey and should not be tossed aside in any way. Romans 10:9 tells us very clearly, "If you declare with your mouth "Jesus is Lord", and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." This belief should definitely be followed by baptism as Christ calls us to and we love celebrating with those that choose to put their faith in Christ and walk as believers!
Excellent Sermon Pastor Bob. We missed this weekend. However what a beautiful way to start the week. God bless 🙏

Actually doesn't the Bible say, you must believe AND be baptized to be saved??
