Much as I loved Aretha as a die hard fan it cannot be denied that Aretha didn't really uplift other female artists. It was very clear that she seemed insecure and had a huge ego. I loved her deeply like the rest, just an observation. For example, I've heard Gladys, Patti, Chaka, Whitney and many more all say wonderful things about some of their cohorts but Aretha's comments concerning some of them were either vague, nonchalant or words laced with shade. What I love about Patti and Gladys they always uplift and give others their props as an artist! So much respect to Patti!!

She turned around and said, "Hey baby," as she turned around and walked back towards him. She gave him a big hug and said that she would love to have been able to talk with him, but she had to run and catch her plane. She made my brother's day. He was so happy and excited as he told us about meeting Ms. Patti Labelle. She took time out to talk to a complete stranger. I love me some Patti.

Much as I loved Aretha as a die hard fan it cannot be denied that Aretha didn't really uplift other female artists. It was very clear that she seemed insecure and had a huge ego. I loved her deeply like the rest, just an observation. For example, I've heard Gladys, Patti, Chaka, Whitney and many more all say wonderful things about some of their cohorts but Aretha's comments concerning some of them were either vague, nonchalant or words laced with shade. What I love about Patti and Gladys they always uplift and give others their props as an artist! So much respect to Patti!!
Ego? Maybe. Insecure, doubt it. Her accomplishments are insane and have you seen her? She's not insecure. Look at interviews with and about her.

Patti is so down to earth. My brother used to work at the Mpls/Stp airport and one day he saw Ms. Patti and he yelled out, "Hey Patti," as she was heading to catch her plane. She turned around and said, "Hey baby," as she turned around and walked back towards him. She gave him a big hug and said that she would love to have been able to talk with him, but she had to run and catch her plane. She made my brother's day. He was so happy and excited as he told us about meeting Ms. Patti Labelle. She took time out to talk to a complete stranger. I love me some Patti.

Well this is how I love me some Patti Labelle... my dad use to play her records when I was younger,yep when she gets to singing and holding those Very Loooooooong and High notes,she gives me Chills! She's the type of singer to get up close and personal when performing kicking her 👠👠 off Lol🤣...you already knowin! Her personality is just amazingly beautiful. She feels just like a relative to me. May God continuously bless her cos theirs way too many of our favorite singers leaving us too soon now.
