    Most rappers don’t make it because they don’t become businessmen. They call themselves businessmen but they’re not really. They spend the money and try to floss like they’ve got it made but they’re are really on borrowed time and don’t invest in a good lawyer and accountant to protect their interests.

      People dont make it because they think its an easy path. Theres so many aspects one could work on in their rapping whether its wordplay, punchlines, flow, etc. The thing is nobody tries to put in the work. And theres alot of competition.. you just have to find your way around it to stand out, have better marketing and keep working hard.
      Nipsey hussel rapped for over 10 years to get where he's at but independently. It doesnt come easy. May take a few years to have a decent following on soundcloud or such.

    • @VonJay
      @VonJay 3 года назад +8

      @@barneyrubble8255 I respectfully disagree. Art, true art is more scarce than gold and or diamonds. Everyone's experience is a form more specific than any other, and when a writer, a director, a rapper stays true to their experience, they can express something that is truly unique.
      Your genetics don't determine your luck, but you're attitude toward yourself, towards your genetic makeup, how real you are with it and how you express it can determine a lot.
      So I agree with the OP, there are too many clones out there expressing something completely incompatible with their own existence.
      Rap to them is the delivery of a product, only after checking the Amazon customer review section...
      When it should be your indelible finger print, voice, signature, painting...

    • @barneyrubble8255
      @barneyrubble8255 3 года назад +5

      @@VonJay You really think these copies could metamorphosis into something great if they changed their attitude towards themselves? I dont know you're either born with exceptional talent or you are not, we're all born with some talent, but it has to be exceptional to stand out. like everything in life its a big competition and you have to be born with some lucky gift to raise to the top. Eminem for example, genetics, made him good with words, able to pronounce fast and rhythmically, and gave him his vocal tone, that we find emotional and pleasing to the ear..........to me thats luck. Not some attitude he had toward himself, that all the other white rappers trying to become famous didnt have

    If you go to A-Z fast but have other talents that’s how you succeed. May it be fashion? Maybe develop apps? It’s what you do when you make it. Doesn’t matter if it’s in 1 day or 10 years. Always think ahead.

    same reason most people can't win the lottery, a lot of luck involved, LA is full of former hard working artists who are tending bar & working regular jobs now. You can't sell luck. kids use to want to be doctors & firefighters. Now they want to be Musicians & Social Media Stars.

    Wayne even stated in a interview back in 2016( cash money bailout) that most of the new age rappers that are popping he don't even listen to and they don't possess a message to the youth that make a positive impact and push them forward. He also stated they are just in it for the fame and benefits of the game not the culture. 21 Savage and Lil Baby even stated the same and 21 criticize modern age rappers for speaking about something that they are not in the first place (trapperz) and glorified that lifestyle and materialistic crap too much.

    Nas is my favorite rapper of all-time, and it's simply for the main reason you said: when he rapped, you never heard the music but saw the images he was painting. Dude was definitely a prophet, and is still giving out wisdom to this day.
