I just saw your post on the Alltrails app. Thank you for your vlog!! I'll be checking out more of your videos and recommending your chanel to other fellow hikers. ✌️
thanks for letting me know, i really appreciate your support! btw my mom used to play that ricky martin song (your youtube name) all the time when i was younger 😂
i’d check the alltrails page (link in description) and filter for the most recent photos to see what they look like now. they’re not like what they were before but i’d still hike this trail for the views and to take a dip.
i’m actually just using an old supreme backpack from college. it gets the job done but is way better quality than a basic jansport. i’ll be upgrading soon to an actual backpacking bag!
Interestingly, the video begins with the parking area where I received a ticket. It's not possible to park anywhere on the streets in that vicinity. Additionally, the narrow trails make the hike even more challenging. Overall, the trip is not worth it.
No shit! My brother lives close to there and we've done that hike to the top for his birthday this year and last year. It's a good one! It's actually in my santa Barbara trip youtube video I made. Cheers! I'll send it to you if you wanna check it out
I don't want to be a downer but I believe the quietude of local places should be honored and respected, that's why there are signs around telling ppl to please not to post photos of the place to social media. I know it's natural to want to share your awesome experience but just think.. If you lived here, would you want the world knowing about your neighborhood hike and soak? I personally would not want the world to know.. Word of mouth spreads fast enough! It would be different if it were a national park... The growing number of beautiful places trampled by exposure these days is a sad and unfortunate byproduct of global social media. Unfortunately it is no longer always ethical to review or post about certain beautiful places, because it ruins it for the local people when hoards of tourists show up at a spot because someone promoted it on social media. Also the explosion of foot traffic causes erosion and more littering. No the parking lot shouldn't be bigger.. People live there. It is too crowded because of too much exposure. I came here to your channel just to voice this. Please would you consider the impact to communities before posting videos about places you've found? This means a lot to me. Thanks for allowing me to post my opinion here 😅🙏
You sound like such a KAREN. This isn’t private property. These are ancient Chumash lands. Long before this video even existed, this trail and hot springs were labeled on Google Maps which technically IS social media (that’s how I discovered it). Everyone knows about this spot and it’s absolutely no secret.
ThX for posting
nice video, thank you
Glad you liked it!
Thank you for all the information, nice video.

One of the residents saved me from getting a ticket, we ended up waiting for a spot in the lot to open up seen @ 2:33
