I would say to the girl who wants a big wedding.. You need to choose what you want in life. What is more important. Either a marriage or a lavish wedding. If she truly wants a good healthy marriage then a luxury wedding won't matter. Do you desire to complete your Deen and make your relationship halal or just a big show for people to see. Big weddings are expensive and not something that is required. Save up and put down a deposit for a house instead of wasting money.
Quick advice, and I know your intentions are good on this topic. But mental health regarding suicide isn’t as simple as telling someone to be thankful for what they have and compare it to someone else who doesn’t have as much. I’m aware that people have said sometimes these are the worst things to tell someone who is in that position, so just be careful when responding to that topic. Just friendly quick advice and like I said I know your intentions were pure.
Thinking of that has gotten thru dark times tho, if I didn’t think like that I’m scared to think where I’d be right now. Different things work for different people. I had those kind of thoughts and I know if I just felt sorry for myself it would have ended bad for me. Mental health isn’t just one way
