I like this approach, much more focused on the soft sell and connecting with them rather than immediately sending a bunch of info they will just gloss over. Spot on with the advice from that book too, so many messages on LinkedIn include "I'd love to connect with you, I do this, I do that, I have an opportunity" and it doesn't really give you an incentive to reply to them at all.
I think the challenge is that, if you delay, other agencies who has access to his contact number might call him about the same job and by the time you and the candidate are done, he/she will tell “ I submitted my cv to another agency”. I think you can take your time only if the company/client uses you only as an agent. Otherwise, other agencies are also working on the same position

kader, would u do this with in mails too?
Potentially, im not a massive user of inmails in all honesty
How do you approach a company that does not use an Agency and have a full HR Department?
Pretty much the same way. You'll be surprised they are the ones more likely to use agencies
Hi Kadz,
