So its clear, when I see people standing outside the train watching, talking....even the dam police officer walked by and did nothing... the other guy clearly stood their and fanned the flames........it pisses me off how absolutely in human these beings are. If I walked by and saw one drowning, i guess its typical to stand there, look, watch, talk to others and video record the situation. SMH........heartless heartless, this tell me to feel nothing for any of these New Yorkers if any were choking on a Bagel to death in the street...SMMFH.......PEOPLE!!!!

Stop, drop and roll!! It's not always the first instinct when on fire (I know from experience. Note to others: check lighters to make sure flame is out on a lighter before setting it on your shirt). Nonetheless, why is nobody helping? The least they could do is direct her to lay down or call 911 or grab a fire extinguisher. She was burning for a long time. 😢

Ask Daniel Penny who intervened (when a schizophrenic drug addict was threatening people on the subway), and Daniel Perry is now charged with manslaughter. Maybe that's why nobody intervened, you could get charged with homicide if you try to stop the woman from getting burned and the perpetrator gets hurt.

Watching "normal" passerby people filming this without intervening, and the police officers walking by like it's all in a day's work, is almost as disgusting and reprehensible as the behavior of the perpetrator himself. Hochul's claims about the safety of the subway system are not only false, but utterly tasteless and tone-deaf as well.
