Can the HUUM DROP Electric Wall Stove that you have on your website be used in a barrel sauna? I have a Almost Heaven 6 person barrel sauna and I was wondering if a stove like that would help heat the lower parts of the sauna better. Thanks
Hey Tyler! Circular barrel-style saunas commonly have the problem that your toes are cold and there is too much space above your head. This is due to the fact that there is usually only one bench height. The goal is to have your feet above the stones on the top bench. The HUUM Drop is a brilliant design, and would indeed help. But you may still run into the limitations of the barrel style.
@@CedarandStoneSauna thanks for the feedback! Would the HIVE Mini Electric Sauna Stove 9kw do an even better job at heating the bottom of the sauna? Eventually I will probably get a cabin style sauna but I'm just going to stick with the barrel for now.
@@Tyler-fs1sc the Hive Mini is great and floor mounted. The kW would be determined by the cubic volume of air in the hot room. We can spec that out as each heat output provides ranges that they are recommended for. As for the chilly floor, the elements would indeed be a bit lower in the Hive mini. However they do take up a little most space on the floor. So we would want to make sure your barrel has enlighten distance to combustibles. It’s more common to have wall mounted stoves in barrel-style sauna for that reason. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to our sales team if you wanna connect more: sales@cedarandatonesauna.com
Sauna interiors should be softwoods that do not retain too much heat. This sauna has interior cladding of Northern White Cedar. And it smells delightful.
Hey Jon, it’s a common question we hear a lot. However, the bummer is that there is only one North American Stove manufacturer producing a propane powered sauna stove. This means options are very limited. If you like thermals mass and a smooth steam you only have one option. We sometimes see natural gas used for commercial or spa locations. Yet, electrically heated solutions seem to us more focused to get a stove that is right for the needs of more styles of sauna.
What stove is that? I could not find it online. Thanks

Is propane an option at all in your opinion?
