Jaguar XE R-sport with the 340 HP Supercharged 6 is an amazing car. I haven't had this much fun since my 1965 Shelby Mustang. It's a little pricey compared to the others in it's class, but well worth it.
M Hastings yeah, supercharged V6 is amazing. It sounds so good when it gargles its gas and the spits it like an angry cat. If I buy one it will be a six cylinder supercharged as well
Also, I got 36.5 MPG on one trip and routinely get 32.5 even with a few pedal romps. Amazing engine. BTW you can also increase the horsepower by almost 25% with a small kit that retunes the engine to about 420hp. To a google search, it costs $997 though.
One of the very best reviews on the Jaguar XE and I've seen plenty. I own a 2016 Jaguar XE 25t...you're spot on! Really enjoying it, btw it's Bluefire Metallic and a Real Head-Turner!! Merc C and BMW 3's are "Invisible" to me! Thank very much.
I wouldn't buy a diesel. The gasoline Jags are pocket rockets and more refined. They don't sound like you're about to go plough a field. I love Jaguars and have a older XF myself. Best car I ever bought and after 8 years, no electrical issues you mention on this newer XE.
Being a former X-Type owner I love seeing them on the road still, especially the sport wagon, so please tell her not to dump the old X-Type, but perhaps just add to her garage. It is really sad that all of the x types you see on the road these days are beat to hell, as these people are like the third and fourth owners oftentimes, they don't maintain them, and just are trying to look somewhat classy
Great Review. I would be willing to try it for many of the reasons you stated. The visibility issue would have to reviewed however. Also, the diesel options would not work. I would do the 3.0
Does anyone else have a really hard time distinguishing the difference between this and the XF? I know it's the same platform and guys, for the most part, but man I have a hard time with the two
I'm thinking about purchasing a 2017 Jaguar xe but I don't know whether to go for the 25t prestige or the 35t premium. Ik there's a difference in the engine size but I was wondering if the 35t premium had the same amount of options as the 25t prestige since it has the next level engine. Or does the 25t prestige still come with more options since it's the prestige. Somebody please help.
I knew that Jag sourced the 2.0 from Ford, but I have never heard it describe as co-developed. Was it truly co-developed or was it sourced from Ford and tuned for application in the Jag?
@@robertnewman7122 please don't comment about a car unless you have owned it, or researched it thoroughly, there really wasn't that many parts from the mondeo, it was actually a really great car...
This is more like a comparsion to a Lincoln Continental not no BMW or Mercedes, it's not even near its class. And by far, the Continental is a better looking car also beating it in performs too

Do you know the name of this particular kit or where I can find it?
I'm driving a 25t, you're very lucky, might get a 3.0l too

I am waiting on my 2019 XE S AWD. Its coming from the port so it should be pristine. I really fell in love with the 380HP SC V6 when I test drove it.
I want to buy the one in the video, whats your opinion on European cars in the US? my mechanic told me to stay away. But i really like it. Advice?
bought this , its a great car , it takes some time to get used to the visibility issue though .
cremisi1000 im thinking of getting this Jaguar. But my mechanic says not to get European cars in the US. Whats your opinion?

The visibility issue is a little off putting, but these A pillar issues seem common due to roll over crash protection.

Any idea when the XE S will be available in North America ?

I think it's Ford sourced. Jaguar tuned it for their own needs.
does it have a CD player?
No
Clarckson: but is it a Jaaaaag?
Who cares if y'all don't talk, tell that old bitty to get a new jag
$53,000 for an XE????
nphung01 $53,000? NOOOOO! In Houston, Tx its more like 35,000

At least the x type is a real jaguar
Isn't the X Type just a rebadged Ford Mondeo.

Lol “JagWarr”

Pronounced; Jag-u-are, not “jagwar”...

It actually is the best handling and has the best ride as compared to the BMW and Mercedes c class. Interior is less luxurious and tight
Nice review, thumbs up!
