For the past 2 1/2 years , I was lifting my wife out of wheel chair into car and then lifting wheelchair into trunk of car. I started to have knee and back problems. As I am 79 years old, I decided to purchase a van with rear wheelchair entry. Most used conversion van had high mileage and I didn’t want maintenance problems, so I found a used 2020 Toyota with 14k miles at cost of 38k. The conversion cost was 15k at TRIPLE S. MOBILITY which was located 11 miles from my home. The conversion took 2 1/2 weeks. I was totally satisfied, no more lifting to and from doctors office. Conversion cost can be as high as 22k, being that the van has to be sent out of city or state. By the way, REAR ENTRY is best option because you can park any where without being closed in.
I took me a year to find decent not crazy expensive one. I used to lift my mom as well. It was not convenient for me or my mom. She almost gave up on going out again.
I had one with infloor ramp and two transfer seats for each front seat , 40k is the conversion cost , each seat base was 4500.00 alone ,so yeah I call it the gimp tax as every thing to help us is mind blowing expensive.
Crazy expensive. Only rich people can afford one. Idk what normal people do if they are disable and can’t afford one. It took me one year to find decent one not crazy expensive.
Hi Sukh, thanks for the interest. The conversion depends on a few factors- the type of conversion, options and any additional adaptation. Call us at 1-855-728-2742 and we'll be able to understand your needs and answer more accurately.
what about a van a wheelchair person can drive alone and get in and out by himself, this is totally useless, it would be cheaper to use a car and lift the wheelchair into a trunk. Vans are only usefull for wheelchair users to drive and use alone.

@@MrMostegypt where did you find it if you don't mind me asking?
Only for wealthy people. it is only a dream for me. I just dont go out.
Si es muy caro todo eso
These modifications to the van will probably cost around $10,000.
How It’s Made
how much weight can these ramps support. I'd like to buy one to transport a motorcycle.
No video from down after finishing how they fix parts
I think the cost of the conversion and the cost of the brand new van add up to be $65 to 70k.
Nice
What this guy has a valid driver license for the state he or she is living in &wants to drive his wheelchair van instead of being a passenger?
How much does it cost to convert van?

totally useless for wheelchair user, if you still need a person use a car and have driver put wheelchair in the trunk for 1 3rd of the price.

Margaret Cabral then you get a side conversion van, Braunability are the best at that in my opinion.
