I can't believe you didn't know We Are the Champions or that We Will Rock You always leads into it, I can't believe you know the Queen portfolio. From Wikipedia: "We Are the Champions" is a song by the British rock band Queen, released from the band's sixth album News of the World (1977).[2] Written by lead singer Freddie Mercury, it remains among rock's most recognisable anthems.["
Adam proves his talent with every single album and performance. A tribute to his perfection, his live solo and Queen performances typically are better than studio album versions. Live performances really showcase his voice, emotion, personality, and showmanship. And seeing him perform is a treat to the eyes, too. 😊
I think Freddie would approve. It’s actually pretty cool to have watched Adam performing Queen songs when he was on American Idol and end up actually touring with them for years.
I watched Adam perform on American idol and he was absolutely fantastic, much better than the winner that season, BTW whatever happened to Chris? Adam did comment that Queen was his favorite band and then, Boom, his dream comes true, he's the new lead singer of Queen! I can't imagine anyone else standing in Freddie's shoes, but Adam! I believe Freddie would've approved hole heartedly!
Adam is an example of someone coming in to something with complete respect and understanding of that thing, how it works and why people love it. There is a reason that huge queen fans have been turning out in droves to watch the tours over the last few years
He's been touring with Queen as the lead for years, and they're amazing together! Watched them live about 6-7 years ago and it was electrifying. You should check out their performance this year for the Queen's jubilee - outstanding
Adam Lambert is most certainly, somehow....Freddy Mercury's love child. Or SHOULD have been. He was cloned from a little piece of his mustache, and lab grown. Adam is the only one with feet big enough for Freddy's shoes.
Dude had some enormous shoes to fill but I think he did more with it than the dude from Bad Company did, no disrespect to his work. Lambert has serious presence.
"We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions" were released together, as one single, way back in the way-back machine in 1977. So, while they're 2 different songs, they're also the same single.
Yeah it's sort of like how "Brain Damage" and "Eclipse" by Pink Floyd are two separate songs but come as a package deal on the radio. They just flow together.
'Who Wants to Live Forever' live @ the isle of wight is an absolute must for some peak vocals and beautiful emotional engagement!! From Adam's pre American idol days his cover of Crazy at Upright Cabaret blew me away when I first discovered it 15 years ago on youtube lol, its probably still up!
Brian May wrote We Will Rock You and Freddie Mercury wrote We Are the Champions, as audience- participation songs. Queen has often ended their concerts with these two songs followed by God Save the Queen…..And 45 years later they are two of the most recognized Queen songs of all time, being played at all kinds of sporting events around the world. This performance with Adam Lambert was the opening of the Oscars in 2019 and was absolutely amazing.
You need to hear "Who Wants to Live Forever" Isle of Wight, Adam Lambert and Queen. Or for something different, check out Adam Lambert and Queen "Somebody to Love" in 2012 in Kiev, Ukraine. Very good vocal work from Adam on this one.
This was for the Academy Awards the year that the movie Bohemian Rhapsody won for best picture and Rami Malek won best actor for portraying Freddie Mercury. So that's the audience. I've seen them live, and nobody sits down for a Queen + Adam Lambert concert.
We Will Rock You and We Are the Champions we're originally released together as 1 long story/song in the late 70s. And Netflix has a whole story about how Adam became the new lead. Very much worth checking out.
I am dumbfounded that you don’t recognise We are the Champions, that song & we will Rock you have been played together, world wide at almost every sports stadiums & events, ect ,since they were released in the 1970s ???
You have show, time and again, that you are not just a pretty face. I admire your knowledge and openness with us. Just one thing, We Will Rock You is ALWAYS followed by We Are The Champions
@Mandy Kat Adam has done four studio albums, five compilation albums, one live album and 13 videos. He is worth $35 million. At the present time, how much more successful would you like him to be?
@@lorrainecimino8508 I just didn't think he had the same kind of success some of his peers have had. I think you misunderstood what I was saying. Maybe, I am the clueless one, but I think he is underrated.
You must be very young not to know We are the champions 😂 like, 100% of the people my age or older (40+) worldwide would know the song, i don’t think i am exaggerating 😄
I am a 1st time commentator. I love your videos! I saw queen+adam for my 30th in london and it was amazing!!! X i have watched you for over a yr now and thank you for doin this justice x
Unbelievable that anyone would not recognize one of the most famous Queen songs of all time, "We Are The Champions," which always followed the song "We Will Rock You."
I'm almost 55 years young , my main genre is Rock & Roll all of it.... I still have the Album. We will rock you is a prelude to WE are the champions.... Kinda surprised by your response 🤔 please elaborate?
I love Adam Lambert, I love Queen, I loved Freddie. But as much as I love Adam and Queen, I have this sensation of watching a cover band. Even though the original guys are still truly brilliant, it’s just not really Queen to me without Freddie. Of course that means it died for me when Freddie died. Which makes me sadder. I enjoyed it for what it was. Editing to give an example. I loved Van Halen when David Lee Roth was there. I liked Van Halen with Sammy. But Van Halen died when Eddie died. Many have a different opinion, and that’s art.
Sorry.. but this just made me laugh. Another song from Queen.. Yes, yes it is. As others have mentioned.. We will Rock You and We are the Champions are (and were by Freddie) always sung together!! This performance was from the Oscars in 2018 when they opened!! Thanks for your great reaction.
I would love to see you react to Queen and Adam performing Who Wants to Live Forever in 2016 at the Isle of Wight… it was the night after the Pulse Massacre in Orlando Florida and is stunning…
I didn't hear you mention Queen - - Roger Taylor was playing the drums and singing - and Brian May was playing the guitar and singing - as they always do - now with Adam as their frontman.
I can not wait for you to react to Adam singing Nessun Dorme last month in Bologna ( WOW )

“Who Wants to Live Forever” performed by Queen and Adam at the Isle of Wight is phenomenal

Only champions was released in the uk no 2
Rock you was side B
US both were released as double A side so both reached no 4

Personally I think Adam does a great job as the frontman. Brian can sure still rock the guitar.
How have you never heard we are the champions??? I love that you’re covering Adam. That voice is one in a billion
There will never be another Freddie Mercury, but Adam Lambert is more than solid with Queen.
Sorry but I prefer Adam's voice, he has a nicer tone and better diction and is actually a much more polished vocalist.
They've done so many epic performances! Opening the Oscars in grand style!
There will never be another Adam Lambert. He is the best. Period.
Hi Mr Lboyd ! Queen is a all time best rock act and Adam always delivers as a solid Queen B !!

And this is why he is Queens singer now
Keep looking at the Queen and Adam stuff. A worthy successor to Freddie.
Was able to see them in concert. It was incredible!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Best entrance of an Oscar opening.
I can’t believe you didn’t recognise the start of “we are the champions” 🤪 great reaction as always though
Me neither! That's not a good business card for someone who comments on music. 🤦♀
@@janulake I guess there’s always a first time for everyone 😅🥹

Surprised you never heard We are the Champions. Both those songs go together! Watch the original by Queen.
I have seen Queen and Adam Lambert live! It is a spiritual experience! We are the Champions a ballad! lol!
I think this was the performance at the Academy Awards. Different song, but the two songs are always played together.
Who Wants to Live Forever Isle of Wight. Iconic performance. More Adam please...
It's hard for me to believe that somebody today has not heard the song we are the champions? It's played everywhere for the past 50 years.
You should listen to Adam Lambert singing Nessus Dorma in Bologna.
The two songs go together on the original album. Take it from a 65 year old fan who saw them live 5 times.

Adam shows total respect for Freddie & Queen
I think you mean Freddie, not Eddie

🌟Queen + Adam Lambert🌟
From his solo stuff you could check out songs from his last album velvet (like new eyes, feel something, superpower,... Juste to name a few)
You have show, time and again, that you are not just a pretty face. I admire your knowledge and openness with us.

I love him with Queen, but I do wish his career as an artist was more successful! Check out some of his original music if you haven't already.

There are songs that automatically play after the first song, like we will rock you is followed always by We are the Champions.
we are the champions is every soccer (football) fans hymne … i find your voice very soothing btw
watch live aid 1985 Queen set. Best live rock performance in history.
Need to see some of their arena performances to see his stage presence. This is constrained by the size of the stage

You don’t know “We Are the Champions”? I’m 81 and I know it.
listen to adam singing who wants to live forever at the isle of wight festival in 2017. The most moving performance.
You must not be a big fan of Queen. Because those 2 songs go together almost always. "We will Rock you and "We are the Champions"
I'm almost 55 years young , my main genre is Rock & Roll all of it.... I still have the Album. We will rock you is a prelude to WE are the champions.... Kinda surprised by your response 🤔 please elaborate?
This is why reactions suck...how can you not know that this is a Queen song...and usually follows we will rock you.
Is this guy for real? He’s never heard of this song? What do you guys think?
How can you not know We Are The Champions?!? That’s crazy!!

Not replacing him, just standing in for him. The band members hand picked him so there’s that. You can choose another channel to watch.
Never heard of We Are The Champions? I can no longer take your channel seriously. Sorry.
