I feel like Amy should also be there because in SA she helped gamma be on the hero side and he sacrificed himself for the flickies , and in SA2 she helped Shadow realized what Maria's wish was and then he sacrificed himself for everyone. She should be at least in the story of SA3
Things i want in the new sonic games : 1. Other playable characters with diffeerent powers other than sonic 2. New playable characters 3. Brave tails 4. New boses 5. Better story mode
Shadow’s gameplay.. got an idea as soon as you said it, Sonic’s levels could be like SA1 more open a bunch paths, variety, and get treated with goodies if you explore while Shadow’s could be more like SA2 and more linear, there’s still different paths but some you could only reach them if you’re skilled enough and get rewarded for it, and from his infamous spinoff game he can charge a meter when you kill badniks which there will be a lot of them cause I like to think Shadow would be Sonic’s hard mode and if you get overwhelmed by them hit them with a chaos blast. The level design could also fit their characters Sonic’s easier and more open to resemble that he likes to explore and just run even without meaning, and Shadow is more linear resembling that he’s serious, straight to the point, and dedicated. This probably doesn’t make any sense and sounds stupid but I think this would be dope.
Idea: Shadow’s levels be more objective based. In these levels Shadow must defeat a certain number of enemies, collect a certain number of rings, maybe some other objective that ties in to the story, and of reach the end of the level before time runs out. Yes, a time limit. You can beat the level by simply reaching the end of it, but the more objectives you miss, the lower your score. Thoughts?
Maybe they can take some inspiration from sonic rush for her moveset? Obviously it won’t be 2d, but blaze can still have her fire spin and fire jets to hover across gaps.
Amy could have alternate costumes taken from Sonic X Episode 15, a potential Hatsune Miku style costume in reference to the fanart trend, or even an Alt Costume where she's an anime schoolgirl. Why limit ourselves to only 1 Alternate Costume when we can potentially have 5 of them? Shadow could have Lancelot, Adventure 2 Unlockable Costumes, & even the Yellow Shadow Android from his own game.
Here's an idea about Shadow: He can be a more fight-oriented version of Sonic with tight platforming. The elimination of foes is a lot more pronounced as not only are there parts where taking out all the enemies is primordial or even mandatory to progress, many of the enemies are a lot more troubling if they are left alone. There could even be levels where the whole point is to go around to take out all the foes to open the way to the exit. As such, his moveset would have a lot more offensive moves such as Chaos Spear, Chaos Snap (his move where he teleports to where the enemy is to kick the enemy and could potentially replace the Homing Attack) and Chaos Blast. As for Chaos Control, there are parts where things are so hectic that slowing/stopping time can be a necessity. One unique gimmick he could have is the ability to remove his inhibitor rings to become temporarily invincible and have more powerful attacks (like having his Chaos Spears come in larger numbers and explode on impact and the ability to spam the Chaos Blast) at the cost of draining his rings faster than what Super Shadow normally drains. Shadow shouldn't be a total Sonic clone in terms of gameplay. This isn't SA2 where each playstyle comes in pair.
I’m surprised you didn’t consider in making a playable villain character for the game. One of the best aspects of the adventure games was seeing both sides of the conflict and having a character like Dr Eggman or Metal Sonic be playable would be a nice addition to have. And in Dr. Eggman’s case it would make for an opportunity to redesign the mech levels from SA2. Picture this: A Dr. Eggman mech level designed with the mechanics and level design of a 3rd person shooter. It would add even more variety to the gameplay styles AND it would fix the mindlessness that the mech levels had in SA2.
Sequels shouldn’t replace the previous games. Every game should have its own gimmick that makes it unique in the series, and the playable villains should be unique to SA2.
For the music I'd go for Jun Senoue, Tomoya Ohtani and Tee Lopes. For vocal tracks of course Crush 40 for the main theme, but also get Julien-K back to do Shadow's theme and Bentley Jones for Silver. As well as Zebrahead collaborating with Tomoya again for the final boss theme. For the other 3 I'd propose: Denzel Curry and Marlon Saunders for Knuckles' Theme. Hideki Naganuma for Blaze. And a big out of left field choice: Jesse Cash from Erra and Ghost Atlas for Tails' theme.
One of my ideas is Brendon Urie because he has a very powerful voice and it would sound phenomenal, given he did Into The Unknown and did a cover The Greatest Show. I know it sounds like high expectations, but that is who I'd like to see in the soundtrack one day. Edit: if not, then I would pick Green Day because they made music in the 90s, the decade Sonic was born in or even Dave Vives, who covered Endless Possibilities and songs from SA2
Shadow/Rouge missions should be inflitration stealth missions. With vehicles and weapons. Featuring hoard battles. Where shadows chaos control abilites could shine
Both games can be canon at the same time. The discrepancy could be fixed by simply stating that Eggman Nega in the future has developed the technology to hop dimensions.
I’d rather the final boss be someone with actual personality that has an op transformation like how metal sonic was in sonic heroes and erazor djinn in secret rings
Eggman Nega is from the future, not another dimension, Izuka said it himself in an interview. In Sonic Rivals 2, it was revealed that Eggman Nega has traveled MANY other dimensions, not just the Sol dimension.
Yeah but who actually takes Izuka's "word" seriously? (remember his explanations for the moon being intact after SA2 or the two worlds concept?. None of which was explained in the games stories). As far as I'm concerned it's death of the author and reactive writing/retcons instead of actually well thought out world building hence why some folks dismiss any and all lore of the franchise lol!
@@lynxfresh5214 First, I don't know what Izuka said about how the moon got fixed after SA2, but I know that in the Sonic X show, Eggman was the 1 who fixed it. Second, I don't have a problem with the 2 worlds theory, they made it clear in Sonic Lost World, Forces and the Sonic movie that Sonic likes to travel other worlds far from his. And third, I don't consider Classic and Modern Sonic the same Sonic, because Eggman being short and chubby when he was younger makes no sense him being tall and shaped like an egg when he got older. While I do agree that Sega f*cked up the canon by saying that Classic Sonic from Generations was from another dimension later in Forces, they should have said he was from another dimension in Generations instead of saying he was younger Sonic who didn't know how to talk yet, but for some dumb reason, Classic Tails already knew how talk before he met Sonic.
Honestly, I think an adaptation of the Metarex Saga from Sonic X would be the best way to make a SA3. It makes for the perfect game formula, and has everything you could ask for.
I agree. Even if not an adventure game, the Metarex saga deserves of becoming a Sonic game. It could have a childish but mature story like Unleashed, and Tails could become brave. Even more, he can have a girlfriend (something new to the games), and with Cosmo, he can believe more in himself, which would make him more powerful. Then, all the other characters can be included as playable or just part of the story. Chris' role can be replaced with someone else's like the Avatar character from Forces or someone completely new. Silver, Blaze, Omega, Big, Marine, Mighty, Ray, Tangle, Whisper, Jet, and the other characters should also have a role in the story, and in the end, there needs to be a large final battle with very hyped cutscenes and hard gameplay (probably everyone can take part of this fight, even Cream or the Chaotix as shown in Sonic X). Also, remixed versions of the original character themes (with new ones) should return lol I always wondered if the Metarex Saga was eventually considered by Sega as a possible future game for Sonic, you instead of Sonic Heroes?
@@fabianugalde3789 That’s way too many characters for a single game. I like the idea, but the original Season 3 cast is probably best (besides Chris of course)
This is awesome! The main thing I could think of for a Shadow costume is actually maybe a swap for Mephiles?? That'd be a pretty cool thing to throw in even though I know the likeliness is extremely low
9:26 another good reason for knuckles to be a fighting character instead of emerald hunts is that he doesn’t care about the master emerald any more. Like seriously, when was the last time he was guarding that thing in a main line game?
In Sonic Forces... well the tie-in comic that shows Silver and Knux leaving the M.E unguarded on Angel Island with Dr Eggman being too cocky to steal it again... Yeah Sega have pretty much given up caring about Knux's role as guardian in games lol! And before someone else brings this up Maina is in a different "dimension" while Ian Flynn already confirmed on Twitter that the IDW comics are a separate continuity from the games.
I hear you counterpoint, even though it isn’t confirmed Knuckles could be taking the Master Emerald with him so he both be with his friends and the Master Emerald’s guardian at the same time.
Sooo... What I want for this game? 1. Shadic to be canonical thing. 2. Tikal to be featured. 3. Hallowen special skins(unlockable on Halloween)(optional): - Sonic.exe skin - Tails Doll Skin - Skeleton Knuckles skin - Serial Killer Shadow - Jack-O-Silver skin - Jack-O-Blaze skin. 4. Quests. 5. Have an easter egg to other sonic games, such as: Characters not featured in storyline to be mentioned or being at background, or as skin/secret character. 6. Playble on : Pc, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5. 7. Have a Dreamcast/GameCube version of this game, but with lower resolution because I think that It Couldn't handle it. 8. Brave Tails because recently he is too scared. He even scared to defent Chaos-0, but in SA1 he defeated Chaos-6. I think that's it
16:52-17:03 Have you not watch or played the Sonic Rival games? Nega's Eggman's descendant and he's currently trapped/presumed dead in the Ifrit's dimension which Gerald Robotnik himself discovered by the way. Robotnik lineage really needs to be featured in Sonic Prime.
I’d love for tails to be the “vehicle character” lemme get a snowboard/skateboard, lemme get a bi-plane and mech, lemme get the air gear f*ck it! It’d be fire!
This is ideal from a gameplay standpoint. It captures why Sonic 3 and Sonic Mania are so amazing, because there are multiple characters that are similar enough but not too similar. Let me also suggest that some levels are navigated differently as different characters, but share one massive map.
I actually have a small idea for cutscenes. If Sega continues to be cheap (for Sonic games, at least), maybe they should bring back the 2D cutscenes from the storybook series? Maybe get the artists from the IDW and animated shorts to do them. It’ll give the cutscenes a comic-y feel, but I think that would mean that more budget could be allocated to other aspects of the game- like gameplay coding or graphics improvement. They could be fully animated, though that could defeat the purpose of having them be 2D in the first place, or just voiced fancier slideshows. I’m not saying there shouldn’t be any 3D cutscenes, as those are really cool, whether it’s using the in-game models or is pre-rendered CGI, but I think given a constricted budget, it would be more sustainable if they reserved CGI cutscenes for big stuff like the intro, climax, and outro, and just have 2D in between. Also, like, Sonic’s 3D models nowadays are less expressive than any Metal Sonic game reiteration, so complete replacement of any in-game cutscenes with hand drawn animations whose expressions aren’t limited to whatever rig the developers are provided with would be appreciated.
@@Trulyzay200 I agree, but would you rather have breath-taking cutscenes and mediocre gameplay, or a good game with expressive characters in cutscenes and extra cool looking high points? Because honestly I’d rather the budget of the game go to the essential groundwork before they need to worry about game promotion and no doubt costly CGI. Also, no, I’m not trying to start a fight. Just a discussion of opinions and maybe a small debate.
For music dream team you can add Hideki Naganuma (I think that's it's spelled). He's well known for his work in Jet Set Radio but more relevant, Sonic Rush
I think Shadow's Chaos Control could be similar to the Time Brake, but he can only use it once every minute and it completely halts everything around Shadow without affecting Shadow himself.
Shadow should have his Chaos Powers, like in Sonic 06. He can throw Chaos Spears in the air, and go into chaos boost mode to use chaos snap, and Chaos Blast. He would also battle lots of enemies, but unlike being a hack-n-slash, like Knuckles, you would have Sonic’s playstyle, but with a bit more combat. EDIT: For the soundtrack, I think having Hyper Potions make some tracks good be really good. For context, they made the music for all the Sonic Mania trailers, and they did Ice Mountains’s OST in TSR.
-And don't forget Useful Muitiplayer. -Awesome and useful Level Up Items that can also effect Story mode. -Extra playable characters with Level Up Items. -Knuckles heavy voice, rap music, and the brain of ancient times. Edited more later.
Some costume ideas for Shadow could be the yellow Android Shadow from the multiplayer mode in his game. (Always thought the black and yellow looked kinda cool) Or something inspired by his original concept, Terios. For Blaze, maybe her Riders outfit since it was a full suit.
Adventure 1 and 2 do have connections to each other story wise. There’s the small detail of Tails having a Chaos Emerald because oh his battle with Eggman and disabling the missile in SA1, as well as the Gerald obviously having studied the Echidna Tribe. There’s a replica of the Master Emerald shrine in the ARK for a reason.
This is some good stuff! I'm surprised SA3 concepts aren't talked about more! I'm writing my own SA3 concept right now so it's just fun seeing others give their perspectives! :D
I feel like we need at least two female characters when it comes to a group and I'd like to see a proper refined Amy. She shouldn't be a speed based character but with a gameplay style in her being a 'combo breaker' with her hammer. Just have her beat the absolute heck out of tons and tons of enemies. Good video! I agree with a lot of your points.
Multiverse sounds cool asf, would be cool if there was an online part where you can build your own levels like forge or something. Great video people talking about sonic is my ideal lowkey background lighthearted entertainment.
An open world SA3 could be built around Breath of the Wild. Make it a bit more difficult to travel, and make each character have really OP special power like Knuckles' excellent climbing and digging, but allow other characters to choose equippable outfit to supplement almost getting there, like if you equip full climb gear you run out of slots to do anything else, but you can be Sonic and still climb fast. Then just place Adventure-like stages in the areas that are difficult to reach, but special pathways are open that make it easier for some, like an underground route for Knuckles. And don't make the map square, stretch it out so it takes some serious time to run it end to end. Sonic would handle cliffs like running up a mountain in rain in BotW, it doesn't work by itself but you would have to look entry points from the ramps in the terrain and mainly travel from hilltop to hilltop by getting big airs. Have 2 separate jump buttons, one always jumps up and other redirects momentum away from the floor you're stepping on. And also underground elements should be used a lot so it can bring Sonic down to speed and comparable to other characters. You could quite easily make level design like Dark Souls but just make the characters smaller, and add some tweaks to make travel seem more free and fit the cartoonish moveset. My take on HOW to write the story... establish exactly two dimensions that have been warped by previous games like sonic 06's time rewrite. They have now crashed together like the failing premise of Sonic Rush, but formed two sets of the same groundscape, and somewhere around 8 heroes have gotten stuck in separate sides of it. They exist "on separate sides of time itself" or whatever, and 4 heroes each side have to roam the open world, alter the terrain and find Power of the Stars... crystals, sure. This creates a gameplay loop where you go around looking for a mission, which unlocks something in the other side and starts a new epsiode of going around with the other side's characters to find something new to unlock, kinda like Zelda Oracle of Ages. There would be separate side missions and general transformable land that affect the world on both sides, but they won't save if you finish without completing a mission, although everything that character collects doing it WOULD save. This is for the purpose of grinding for money to buy gear or stocking up on elemental Wisps, but choosing to spare any permanent changes in the world. You can choose from 4 gameplay types on each side until you have done one mission with each, but you can swap sides already after finishing even one, after which that character style becomes locked until you swap sides. So you can't play Sonic, Sonic, Sonic, but you can go Sonic, then Blaze, then Sonic, by leaving all the other characters on level 1 of their unlockables. This would affect minor elements in the plot because those characters did virtually nothing, and also some unlock options for Sonic would remain unavailable, like you might not get good climbing ability until you have gone to some lengths with Knuckles. Also there should be secret characters to unlock, and maybe extra secret ways to finish the game even beyond Super Sonic (100% mission clear), by playing the game through with only an exact set of characters. Or, even sequance break the whole game by exploiting the terrain with Sonic and launching yourself onto the frosty mountain top where the final mission is. Super Sonic would be completely absurd and like flying over BotW in debug mode.
Sonic Adventure 3 should take inspiration from Metarex Saga(From Sonic X) as it has a emotional and dark story. The last adventure games had a threat that can destroy Earth but Metarex were going to destroy the galaxy and it had a Very Very Very Emotional death of Cosmo (in sonic x episode 77 Japanese version). Give Like if you liked Cosmo and Tailsmo
@@shivansh3387 Nah... I don't see words like "damn" or "heck" as swearing imo but unfortunately some folks do (especially in the west) and might get offended or think it's not appropriate for young kids thus leading to unnecessary complaints lol!
"to save a future that had nothing to do with her" Y'know, I always figured that, chronologically, Sonic 06 might take place before Sonic Rush, even though the latter came out first. After all, she appears in the future without any explanation at all - how did she get there? How does she know Silver so well? It would make perfect sense if she was there because she's _always_ been there, because she was born there and grew up in that devastated future along with Silver. And then she seals the Iblis into herself, and vanishes away into a different universe - and then something goes wrong, because suddenly, that future she came from has never even existed. But Blaze is removed from it, she's somewhere else now. She doesn't get erased completely. And sure, maybe her memories are a little scrambled, or maybe she got to live a whole new life altogether in this new universe she sealed herself in, with a whole new past and background, and a new set of memories... but she still has incredibly strong, inexplicable fire powers. How strange. I don't know, I just think it makes far more sense if you look at things in this order.
They should say that, and since Blaze is a cat with interesting powers, she has like more than one life. That's why she was reborn in a different dimension that later on collides with Sonic's own.
In hindsight they should've just left Blaze and Eggman Nega in the Sol dimension instead of retconning their backstories just to prop up Silver (who later gets reduced to just another side character instead of being one of the MCs). The fact we have to rely on fan theories to explain Sega's lack of foresight says it all imo.
@@fabianugalde3789 Apparently Ian Flynn is writing a lore book about the Sonic franchise that'll be released later on this year however... between the mandates, pre-existing continuity errors/retcons not to mention whatever nonsense may come out of Sega's mouth between now and then. Ian has a very unenviable job indeed.
@@leonardoalvarenga7572 I checked. And unfortunately for us they're owned by IDW. I know they're in the mobile game but then again it's no a main line Sonic game. Then I again I could be wrong. I hope I'm wrong.
For shadow i would give him a gimmic where when he collects a certain number of rings he would do sort of like a team blast from sonic heroes but it would send the enemies somewhere else in the level. But that what makes it challenging because you dont know where he gonna chaos control them
I would also make Rouge, and Omega playable characters. Give Omega the shooting levels similar to Gamma's gameplay in SA1 and Eggman/Tails gameplay in SA2. And how bout the stages be split into acts and possible if they included the elemental shields?
For a main villain, I would actually have both Eggman-Nega and Mephiles the dark as the true villains of SA3, they both desire to destroy the world rather then conquer it so them working together and not betray each other would be cool and the story of those two is Eggman-Nega found what was left of Mephiles in his dimention (the Negative dimension, revealing Nega lied about been form Blaze's world or Dr. Eggman's descendent from the future) and they discovered a powerful large gem that was like the Master Emerald shattered millennia ago (for simplicitys sake I like the idea that the gem is called the "Frost Sapphire" and scattered to Sonic's world, Blaze's world and Eggman-Nega's world, so it's a race against the villains to find the sapphire shards, stop the Eggman-Nega and Mephiles and save 3 different dementias from a eternal ice age. For playable characters, keep what you have, but add in their main game debut Tangle the lemur who can play like the avatar from forces with her tail replacing the grapple-hook and he tail working like the werehog's stretchy arms in combat, Wisper who can have E-sires gun gameplay with a bit more sniping like style for heroes, Mimic the octapus who can have more stealth and puzzle solving gameplay, a Metal Sonic crated by Eggman-Nega for villain.
An idea for the story: Eggman Have found a gem who gives the user the power to travel though multiverses. When confronting Super Sonic, he knocks himout of his super form and then the mysterious gem reacts with the chaos emeralds. And teleports them to another universes. Then the hunt starts. Sonic and friends needs to retrieve the chaos emeralds before eggman does. In the end, the 3 mechas fuse together with the new gem and creates a monster who wants to tear apart the multiverse.
This is a really nice video, I agree with a lot of the ideas you have. One of my ideas for Sonic Adventure 3 I would like to include would be Multiplayer similar to Sonic Adventure 2's, but made to fit with your gameplay ideas as it could add even more to the variety factor. Aside from just being local, I think would be a perfect opportunity to have an online multiplayer functionality so people can play online if they have the same consoles. This could also allow for other characters who may have a small role or even no appearance in the story to be playable in this multiplayer mode maybe with minor changes or gimmicks for the multiplayer. Character I have in mind to include for this multiplayer mode include as Amy, Metal Sonic, Rouge, Chaos, etc. That is just my thoughts, keep up the good work dude!
Sonic levels - Basic speed stages (without tweaks) Tails levels - Puzzle levels that use Tails' flight Knuckles levels - Beat 'em up with E-series robots as bosses. Shadow levels - Harder Speed Stages (longer and more enemies) Silver levels - Speed Stages (more platform focused thanks to Silver's flight) Blaze levels - Speed Stages (more combat focused thanks to Blaze's acrobatics and fire powers) If we are to have Hub Worlds, we got to have one in the Sol Dimension. Otherwise, I think a G.U.N. headquarters would be a good semi Hub World. For the final battle, I think an orchestral remix of the Main Theme by Crush 40 is a go-to. As for villains, I think another redeemable villain would be good to close the trilogy. A new character would be the best for it.
*applauses a hub world in the sol dimesion would be truly great, I'm imagining it like the idw one www.google.com/search?q=sol+dimension+idw&rlz=1C5CHFA_enMX728MX729&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiwyvuI2u3vAhUzIjQIHc4SDVwQ_AUoAXoECAEQAw&biw=1210&bih=584#imgrc=KPozL_NE8cYYVM
You know we could always add fanmade costumes like for starters y’all remember back in shadow the hedgehog that shadow is half black arms well let’s give a costume based of if he wasn’t a hybrid but was pure black arms or how Blaze sealed Iblis in her so we could give her a costume based on that
9:32 - Team Dark: "Told you, we are hard mode!" Team Chaotix: "..." Team Dark: "What?...W H A T?" Team Chaotix: * distant coughing * Raido: " COLLECT CHOA-" * Team Dark has left the chat *
You more or less just stated the plot for Sonic 06, where the final antagonist is Solaris a "super dimensional being" attempting to merge all existing timelines into one singularity. It's basically the big bang theory done in reverse. Sonic 06 despite it's flaws actually had some really good ideas and that's why I think Sonic Adventure 3 should essentially be a Sonic 06 remake with revamped story that still has the same core tenets coupled with updated mechanics.
I would add Amy, Rouge, Cream, and Marine as well, but those are all some pretty good picks you've gotten. Amy, Cream, and Marine kinda suffer from the same problem as Silver and Blaze as that they're not given enough chances to shine as well. Amy not being playable in the main games since 06, Marine not appearing again in general since Rush Adventure, and Cream not appearing in a long time as a playable character, just a very minor background character at best. Plus, Amy and Marine need a chance to shine to both get more exposure to the players and to be written in a way they can be liked too. And Cream and her Chao Cheese are both missed a bunch by everyone too. And Rouge could be like a mix of Tails and Knuckles in both flying and gliding, while having her own unique twists too. But if not all those characters, at least Amy since like Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, she's one of the classic characters too, and part of the main group as much as Team Sonic is (except in Archie... but that's another story, and thank god it's non-canon). Plus, I call the group of four that includes Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, AND Amy all together the original in-game "Sonic Team", named after their real world creators as a group together. And besides, Amy was able to be important to the story of the first two Sonic Adventure games and 06, so I would like to keep that up too.
That sounds like a great idea! I agree with you 100%! And yes, I also agree and I'm relieved that Archie isn't cannon at all. That would have caused problems. Lots of Sonic fans love to tell me they are cannon but I have already played majority of the Sonic games and I know damn to well that Archie isn't cannon.
@@Velocity_YT Glad you agree with me on all that. And if we ever get a Super Amy, that would be too damn awesome. If we don't get SA3 anyway, maybe in that Sonic Unlimited rumor if it's ever real at least? Even though I still would like a SA3 too. For the Archie part also, you're right they would have caused a lot of problems. Not only do they not fit in with the characters, they would need total re-writes to fit into the game universe. Plus, Sonic's not into princesses (and I don't mean just Blaze of course, while I consider Elise just a friend), way too restrictive for him, even if he ever grows up (he's still a teenager in both body and mind, unlike in Archie). At least Amy would wanna keep up with him and not change him or restrict him at all like some Archie fans kept claiming she would (their precious princess/queen did EXACTLY what they accused of Amy however). I just wish these guys didn't keep mixing the two canons at all and treating it like it's the real canon.
@@DangerousArmyGuy Sally really did change Sonic to the extent I was starting to hate him. In fact he gave every single girl a chance but not Amy. Man he's a jerk. In the comics at least.
@@Velocity_YT Yeah, I never liked how much of a jerk Archie made Sonic out to be, and how much of a womanizer he was to everyone but Amy. Who was treated or portrayed badly in so many of her appearances, especially in pre-SGW. Man I really hate how Archie gave Amy a bad rep here in America, but made Sonic and Sally both really unlikable at times. Thank god the OG Japanese Sonic is so much better and way nicer to Amy.
@@DangerousArmyGuy exactly! They even went so far as to create Rosey the Rascal, an alternate version of what Amy would be like if she were evil. Man I hated that so much.
I don't have a specific idea for a story, but I like coming up with level design in the vein of SA2. As janky as the gravity drums are in final chase, I still feel they were underutilized. There should be electric fences and lasers either moving or stationary at different points to make for more challenging inverted platforming. Perhaps a reward for players who make it through without taking the easy way out by skipping to the easier part. As far as level flavor concept, I once made a haunted Eggman factory warehouse on Game builder garage. I put in fun elements like possessed cranes, crates, and a mystery phantom that mirrors your basic movements in the background. the background was all those Eggman covered crates, as you see things out of the ordinary it gives this eerie feeling of having eyes on you from all the crates. one crate on the ground gets mean looking red eyes, but only when you are moving. I wanted to have it chase you if you jump out or fall off the main level design and end up on the open factory floor and kill you if it catches you before you can get back to the confided space surrounded by fences or out of reach. I even made a makeshift loop with a teleport nodon. I've always been a sucker for games that give you the keys to be creative and tinker with level design or character creator engines. Grafitti Kingdom, Gamebuilder garage, magic pengel, amazing island.
16:43 But Eggman Nega die... Or got trapped in the Ifrit's dimension, but if Adventure 3's gonna be about dimensions, then that would inadvertently bring him back and cause time trouble again like in Sonic Rivals 1/2. If he comes back he might attempt to involve himself with Nocturnus Clan research, learning everything about them to find some secret weapon they might've had this whole time since Chronicle aside from the Gizoids. This could be interesting as we don't know what he'll do.
Costume ideas: -Each character has a classic form (in the same style as Classic Sonic, obviously) -If Mecha Sonic is not the villain, Mecha forms for each character -A Mephiles costume for Shadow and/or Silver
I'm not sure about Blaze, but Sonic Rivals and Sonic Rivals 2 had character costumes for Sonic, Knuckles, Shadow, and Silver. The Rivals games aren't that popular, but some of the costumes are pretty cool. (Just realized that Tails also had costumes in Sonic Rivals 2.)
My favourite stages are Knuckles' stages. I love exploration and Knuckles. Mix the two and you got a jam. His campaign is the first I ever beat in SA1, and it's great.
Costume Ideas: Dreamcast Sonic Soap Shoes Sonic Black Knight Shadow, Knuckles, Blaze, & Silver Olympic Games Blaze Riders Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, & Shadow Boom Sonic, Tails, & Shadow Nights into Dreams Silver A bunch of costumes from Forces Speed Battle
I think a good outfit for Sliver is his Secret Freedom Fighters outfit from the Archie comics. The blue accents and main black color are sharp, and it would be a nice callback to a beloved take on the Sonic series.
Nice ideas, however, something I would like to add is that SA3 should not introduce anyone else, the cast we already have is so bloathed with all of them fighting for screentime that introducing anyone else that is new would just make things complicated, and if they do, it should be a one time appearence with no more games to be added. And also, extra point, Amy as a playable character. I know her gameplay style does not have too many fans but if Silver can have a gameplay revamp, then Amy should have it too, just make her a bit faster and add more moves, maybe some things related to her cartomacy abilities (yes, she has, or had that). In terms of Blaze, you might disagree with this but giving her the boost is not a bad idea, I mean, she was born with that playstyle after all. Anyway, we might never get a Sonic Adventure 3 but speculating and sharing ideas for a supposed SA3 is the fun part.
I would give Amy and Silver both some of Sonic and Shadow's base moves that they share as well (spin dash and homing attack), but I totally agree Amy needs to be playable again as much as Silver, and both really need another chance again. And new moves and abilities relating to their powers would be nice too.
@@dragondelsur5156 I'm glad we both had the same idea as well here, about giving Amy some of Sonic's moves too of course. I thought that was a very good idea for her also. Hoping Amy does get to have those moves in an official game as well in the future if she's made playable again.
Music wise, I wouldn't mind Cash Cash making a return. But we definitely need Teelopes, Hideki Naganuma for Blaze's stages, Richard Jacques (maybe) TJ Davis, and some rapper that's a Sonic fan to do the Knuckles stage raps.
Its definitely not a coincidence that more series are using the multiverse concept, thats the type of scenario i had in mind as well. Ive been incubating an idea of an alternate universe where the final boss is a corrupted Sonic thats taking over/destroying the world. I fell in love with the idea of Tails taking up the mantle of the main hero and sonic fighting alongside the hero Sonic as more of an equal, or even as a rival. I also had the first boss as Emerl from the Sonic Battle game. I loved that game (i think it should get a total re-creation with a real rpg-style open world)
For music, I’d love to have Hideki Naganuma brought back. He composed the music for Sonic Rush which I find to be some of the best music in the sonic franchise.
An easy way to give Shadow chaos control without making it a mechanic, is to make it his homing attack. Shadow would teleport to enemies and attack them, instead of spinning like Sonic does. The speed would be the same as Sonic's, but there could be an upgrade to make it faster
...I have critiques I'd like to make. For characters, I'd like to start by saying that I like the idea of Sonic being able to use Sonic Wind outside of a race setting, but I think it should be altered from its initial offensive purpose into something that serves as an additional movement option. For instance, perhaps Sonic could use it to propel himself upwards to set up a homing attack, or to recover from a missed jump - kinda like his upward air dash in the rush games but capable of damaging things. Now, I think your ideas for Tails and Knuckles are fine for the most part, except for how Tails' stages function. I think, if Tails is going to have his movement gameplay from SA1, and Knuckles has stages that are reminiscent of the Werehog stages (which, really, I think he should've been playable in those stages in the first place), then perhaps Tails could take over the treasure-hunting duties that Knuckles had, with his gadgets substituting for Knuckles' radar and digging such. As for Shadow and Blaze, I'm fine with them playing largely similar to Sonic, but I think there should be at least one significant difference between these three characters to change up how they play overall. If Sonic has the Sonic Wind idea as I describe above, perhaps Blaze could have red wisp-esque burst jumps, and Shadow could have a ranged attack in Chaos Spear (perhaps acting as an instant warp to whatever enemy is hit by it to retain the theme of movement). And Silver... I have nothing. 06 Silver but faster is pretty much exactly what I want him to be... okay maybe also make it easier to stun enemies for grabbing, but that could just be an upgrade. Maybe involving the Magic Hand upgrade from SA2. As for story... I think at some point you started throwing stuff at the walls because it sounded cool. An interdimensional monster, Metal Sonic + both versions of Mecha + the E-Series + Nega... I think all of that is a bit much. Perhaps when conceptualizing your story, you should consider the characters you're using character and ask why they're here from a narrative perspective. To bring in the E-series outside of maybe a few E-1000 enemies scattered through the stages you'd have to explain why they haven't already been scrapped either by Eggman or Omega, and while Metal could easily worm his way into the story for a fanservice fight/race or even some level of narrative importance, there's no reason whatsoever to bring in either Mecha Sonic outside of pure fanservice, because any role they can fill can also just be filled by Metal Sonic. That said, as Blaze and Silver are playable characters, I fully agree with bringing in Nega (and I'd even go a step further and bring in two, one from Silver's time and one from Blaze's dimension, so that mess can finally be cleared up), and while an interdimensional crisis is not the sort of threat I'd go with, it could absolutely work if properly set up. Personally, if I was going to write a story with these elements, I'd have it go something like this: Eggman and Blaze's Nega have teamed up again, this time to wreak interdimensional havoc, and Blaze has appeared to help stop them. However, Silver also enters the scene, explaining to the crew that while Sonic and Blaze are successful in stopping the crisis on their own, an interdimensional nightmare was born from the conflict that emerged in 100 years time and there was nothing he could do, so he's come back to either prevent its creation or destroy it before it becomes a threat (there could also be some drama about Sonic and Blaze originally sacrificing their lives to stop the Eggmen that Silver would also like to prevent if possible while worried about the effects on his future that would have, but that's optional). But unfortunately Nega from the future is also running around (something Silver may or may not be aware of), causing problems for both parties to attempt to cause the creature to come to fruition sooner... for... reasons. He never did think his plans through in the Rivals games - wtf are you gonna do after turning the planet into a card, die in the cold vacuum of space? Anyways, those are just my thoughts about your ideas. If I was making SA3, I'd probably take more inspiration from SA2 in terms of gameplay styles, level design, and story presentation, I'd definitely have Tails be a hybrid of his SA1 and SA2 gameplay styles, and my playable cast would almost certainly include Cream and Gemerl because damnit they deserve better. There's more I could say, but... this comment's already pretty long so I'ma end it here.
To help a bit with that idea for using the special moves. I think it's a good idea that they're limited, say you can only use Sonic Wind 3 times per stage, but it'd be tight as hell if you can unlock a harder version of the stages and they let you use those attacks, then it's the same for every character. i also like the idea of giving Knux fighting stages, even more so if he was given an upgradable skill tree for many moves
shadow chaos control could be like the battle mode of SA2B and you slow time to do platforming and have a advantages against bosses and enimies but you would need at least 25 rings for it and the more rings you have the longer it takes to end but the max being 30 seconds to not be that OP of course and you can cancel it.
I’d like to think Sonic Adventure 3 would be a multiverse exploration game against Mephiles, who crawled his way back into time and using all the characters as pawns, making all their end goals of their individual stories just to benefit him. Obviously have no Princess Elise or anything in there, but it could be cool if they gained their memories back of the lost timeline or something. Maybe Sonic could even make a snarky “ew gross I kissed a human” remark if anything. Anyways since I idealize Mephiles as being such a monumental threat, I’d like to see Chip The Light Gaia fighting by Sonic’s side, maybe even throw Tikal in there. Maybe Mephiles can work alongside Dark Gaia, fuse with Dark Gaia instead of Iblis. For characters , I’d at least like to see Sonic, Blaze, Silver, Shadow, and Espio. Maybe Knuckles and possibly Tails too, but they’ve had their time in the spotlight. I’d love to see Espio here because he has so much potential as a character, and I feel like he could be really fun to play as with his ninjitsu and grapple mechanics, and I bet his super form could be like a sunset pink/orange.
Why not use Blaze's outfit from Sonic Riders or one of her outfits from the Olympics games? As for Shadow, any of his costumes from Sonic Adventure 2 Battle will do.
There’s a mod in SRB2 where Shadow is included with Chaos Control as his second ability. He can teleport up to twice in a row, being able to go forward or straight upwards with either Chaos Control (so for example he could use the first one to go up and then the second one to go forwards) without losing momentum. I think that could be a fun way to incorporate it into this idea
I like how you used to have stories and in each story you had certain characters. I’d go with three stories. One of just sonic. (We need more sonic gameplay and he’s been independent lately) One with Shadow, Rouge, and Tails (With sonic gone tails will need to find a group, and Shadows lack on compassion will help tails stop being scared and come back to fighting like he used to) Last one with Knuckles Amy and Silver. ( these will be slower levels that require creativity, and plus I think Amy and silver have good chemistry and Silver and Knuckles talked a lot together in the dialogue of sonic forces, not the best example of connection but I could easily see them get along, two introverts with a sense of justice, one laid back and realistic and one optimistic and friendly)
I feel like Amy should also be there because in SA she helped gamma be on the hero side and he sacrificed himself for the flickies , and in SA2 she helped Shadow realized what Maria's wish was and then he sacrificed himself for everyone. She should be at least in the story of SA3
Then she’ll convince someone else to sacrifice themselves................

Thoughts?

Amy could have alternate costumes taken from Sonic X Episode 15, a potential Hatsune Miku style costume in reference to the fanart trend, or even an Alt Costume where she's an anime schoolgirl. Why limit ourselves to only 1 Alternate Costume when we can potentially have 5 of them? Shadow could have Lancelot, Adventure 2 Unlockable Costumes, & even the Yellow Shadow Android from his own game.
@@magenta_mer-goat86 I love these desings. Especially the designs of the Knights of the Round Table (Knuckles, Shadow and Blaze).
As long as Tails isn't in a mech I'm all for it.
Sequels shouldn’t replace the previous games. Every game should have its own gimmick that makes it unique in the series, and the playable villains should be unique to SA2.

For vocal tracks of course Crush 40 for the main theme, but also get Julien-K back to do Shadow's theme and Bentley Jones for Silver. As well as Zebrahead collaborating with Tomoya again for the final boss theme.
For the other 3 I'd propose:
Denzel Curry and Marlon Saunders for Knuckles' Theme.

Also, remixed versions of the original character themes (with new ones) should return lol
I always wondered if the Metarex Saga was eventually considered by Sega as a possible future game for Sonic, you instead of Sonic Heroes?

Besides it would make sense as in SA2 he had the power to shrink the Master Emerald for much easier transportation.

We need cgi cutscenes even though sega budget has been cut we really need it
I'm pretty sure Sega is doing really well on the games side, but they're just cheap.
@@KhaosKontroller yea their not trying

Man that's long
Sonic Adventure 3 should take inspiration from Metarex Saga(From Sonic X) as it has a emotional and dark story. The last adventure games had a threat that can destroy Earth but Metarex were going to destroy the galaxy and it had a Very Very Very Emotional death of Cosmo (in sonic x episode 77 Japanese version).

"to save a future that had nothing to do with her"
Y'know, I always figured that, chronologically, Sonic 06 might take place before Sonic Rush, even though the latter came out first.

I like the idea of just Knuckles going absolutely insane in a Sonic game and just ripping and tearing through Eggman bots.
YES.
An idea for the story:
Eggman Have found a gem who gives the user the power to travel though multiverses.
Sonic levels - Basic speed stages (without tweaks)
Tails levels - Puzzle levels that use Tails' flight
Knuckles levels - Beat 'em up with E-series robots as bosses.
Shadow levels - Harder Speed Stages (longer and more enemies)
Silver levels - Speed Stages (more platform focused thanks to Silver's flight)
Blaze levels - Speed Stages (more combat focused thanks to Blaze's acrobatics and fire powers)
If we are to have Hub Worlds, we got to have one in the Sol Dimension.

It would be so cool to have a Adventure section and a boost section. I love both styles.
I’m SO glad you mentioned getting a chao garden app😭 I’ve been wanting something like that for yearssss
That intro was epic
@Christian Ball He's an egg man.
What if Solaris was the final boss in sonic adventure 3 he could be the cause of them sending them through dimensions.

I think a good outfit for Sliver is his Secret Freedom Fighters outfit from the Archie comics. The blue accents and main black color are sharp, and it would be a nice callback to a beloved take on the Sonic series.
Blaze should have her gameplay style as like a 3d version of Sonic Rush.
@@DangerousArmyGuy One of my ideas was to give Amy some of Sonic's moves too since she and Silver are the only hedgehogs that can't do what Sonic can.
@@dragondelsur5156 I'm glad we both had the same idea as well here, about giving Amy some of Sonic's moves too of course. I thought that was a very good idea for her also. Hoping Amy does get to have those moves in an official game as well in the future if she's made playable again.
Shadows chaos control ability could temporarily freeze time giving the player time to defeat as many enemies on screen as possible.
I think bringing back the custom avatar would be cool. Add more species, fur patterns, costume pieces, could possibly bring back the wispons, etc.
WHY IS THIS NOT HEARTED YETTTTT
@@ghettokage6104 comments do be drowning 😔
then join the sonic team and make one (make a sonic adventure 3) also you should add mighty and ray if you do join the sonic team
...I have critiques I'd like to make.
Personally, if I was going to write a story with these elements, I'd have it go something like this:
Eggman and Blaze's Nega have teamed up again, this time to wreak interdimensional havoc, and Blaze has appeared to help stop them.
Blaze, Knuckles, and Shadow could have their Sonic and the Black Knight skins, as well as their Sonic Riders skins.
shadow chaos control could be like the battle mode of SA2B and you slow time to do platforming and have a advantages against bosses and enimies but you would need at least 25 rings for it and the more rings you have the longer it takes to end but the max being 30 seconds to not be that OP of course and you can cancel it.
There are a lot of unpopular kinda opnions there, but is honestly intersting and honest
Well I think Amy could probably go super I've seen some fanart and its pretty good
No thx
A super form for Amy is something I would die to see.
I'm super late but you could have a Queen Blaze skin and a Black Arms Shadow skin. I think those would be neat.
(We need more sonic gameplay and he’s been independent lately)
One with Shadow, Rouge, and Tails
(With sonic gone tails will need to find a group, and Shadows lack on compassion will help tails stop being scared and come back to fighting like he used to)
Last one with Knuckles Amy and Silver.
