I owned the previous generation car for 3 years and loved it.
I also love how easy it is to order a car. Pick a trim level, pick a colour combo and pick an engine, job done. It’s refreshing to not have to pick option packs or pay for little extras like wanting a contrasting roof or a wireless phone charger. Other car makers take note.
Best automatic I have driven over 20 years of driving. Looks good in the colour blue.
Not really a fan of Seat generally, but I quite like this. Absolutely loved your reaction when the car responded to your Spanish greeting!
Hahahha shame she didn’t really respond after but I did enjoy saying ‘Ola, ola’ 😂
Got a Seat Arona FR 1 litre and being careful on a long haul, had 57 mpg, not bad. And now I have a Seat Arona Experience on order from Fishers of Galgate. I've been a customer of theirs for 40 years and they treat you well. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, BE SAFE
So nice when you have a dealer that look after you. Thank you and a happy new year to you too!
I've had the top of the range Lux model for just over 2 years and I love this car. It looks good and is really fun and responsive to drive with the 1 litre 115 BHP engine (automatic). I get up to 46 mpg on long routes and just over 40 mpg around town. I really love the redesign and will probably upgrade to it next summer. Reliability is great, I've no problems with my car not one so in my experience this is a well built car. I'd recommend a test drive at least because it is really fun to drive (compared to other crossovers) you feel connected to the road and it corners well, especially if you put it into sport mode, it tightens everything up. I had never owned a Seat before but I'm happy I took the plunge, might even push the boat out and go up to the Ateca
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and experience's! :)
Go for the Cupra Ateca which has better spec than the Lux & performance to match ! 👌
@@pgtips9236 If I had the money I would, gorgeous car
You get 46mph on long routes and 40mph on short ones? That’s kind of slow bro, even a Seat can drives but faster than that!
@@Sto79Be MPG not MPH but you know what I meant
The SEAT Arona is basically a taller and more expensive SEAT Ibiza.
The point of subcompact crossovers is an updated subcompact hatchback, but they’re around £4000 more.
Went today to a seat dealer to order the Xperience 2022……3 half hours later in the show room said we can have one April 2023 🤦🏻♂️
As I said with your last SEAT video, I do like learning about cars not sold here in America, even though it’s still a VW MQB based car. Seems to be a pretty good little crossover, although I’d personally take the Ibiza over this. Certainly a sharp looking car. I love how saying “hola” wakes up the voice control, it adds in a bit of character. My Defender’s talks back to me in a British accent, as well. 😂 In all, great video, Tish!!
Definitely where our gender pays play, I’d have this over the Ibiza 😁😁
After your Defender has been in the USA for a while it will lose its British accent.
Love the review. Ordered the “Xperience Lux" last month. Looking forward to getting it hopefully before Christmas.
Great review tish,
Could be our next car after octavia as our boys going their own way now.
Looks a great little car.
It does look very smart!
I'm getting mine in April. I got the 1 litre auto Lux model and I can't wait on your recommendation. Thanks
Amazing! I hope you enjoy 😊
Just bought a new one today. It sounds like it’s scraping when driving on rough terrain. On smooth roads it’s perfect. Is this normal or is there something potentially wrong with the car?
Nice car......Not quite the Lotus but a tad more practical.!!....Nice to see a 'real" handbrake. Keep up the good work Tish. 😁
We do like a handbrake on this channel!
Nice review! I'm more into the practicality of estates though, I have a Seat Leon ST on order just sitting waiting on them components ....
The Spanish Volkswagen. Skoda’s the Czech Volkswagen. I’m a car enthusiast. We’d get along so well!
Given the choice of the Seat Arona or VW T-cross I would take the Skoda Kamiq. Higher quality interior, more rear space, simply clever details, better value 👍
Yes great point but I do think it looks a little dated in my opinion.
Looked at both kamiq and Arona today, not sure there is a lot of difference in interior quality to be honest. Both feel nice for their price point.
And boring to look at.. it is not a suv, too low
Cloth seats in the Kamiq yet leather and alcantara in the Arona? No comparison
How tall are you. I’m looking for a suitable car for my wife to drive and she’s under 5ft tall so finding a car is proving tricky as the modern car is often higher but so is the dashboard so vision out of the front and even side windows can be tricky. I’m not driving, due to illness but I’m happy to do the research in order to narrow down the options.
That was a perfect preview for the car 👍
Great review. I am considering this car for a purchase. Seem to be many available in Portugal.
Nice car and also love your reviews 😀
Thank you very much
Wish we had SEAT in the US. Mexico has these.
This little Arona looks really nice, Tish! But then, which Seat (or Cupra) doesn't, right?
They’re smart looking cars!
Sorry really disagree with your comment about rear space. It’s generous for a crossover and you can easily fit 2 adults comfortably with sufficient leg room. Saying best for children only is plain misleading.
I’m glad you’ve had better experiences with it David
@@AutoSocialUK but in fairness I should have said I thought your review was very good overall.
I’m thinking of buying this. But is it any reliable? 😫
From what car? On the previous generation ‘Our latest reliability data rates the Arona highly, with a reliability rating of 95.2%. Seat, as a brand, came 17th out of 30 manufacturers, which is respectable. With this in mind, the model in question shouldn't prove too troublesome.’
Thanks for the review, this is on my shortlist for my next car.
Can anyone confirm whether or not the Front Fog lights are standard across the range (2022) as I am getting conflicting information. The latest is that it is on early 22 builds but not newer ones?
Thanks
Which tyre size is quite with road noise?
Great review Tish. These would be very popular here in Australia, although I don't think this brand has any plans to come over here.
Yes it is strange that SEAT and Cupra haven’t made the jump.
Been waiting for mine to be delivered since May 😬
Waiting as well
@@darrenhuxley6719 had mine since Jan don’t bother it’s already had two new infotainment systems regularly does random things do yourself a favour and change your mind pronto
Like the different colour on the roof and the front grille
Suites that car doesn’t it ☺️
thanx for review
You're welcome!
Nice car tish great 👍🏼 review 👏
Thank you for watching Matt
This is the DCT version. Where are the paddle shifters?
Probably only get them on the FR trims
@@joegibbs6906 Makes sense.
The same case with the Land Rover Discovery; you can only get the paddle shifters with the higher end trims.
@@DaveDVideoMaker actually, this is the highest spec trim The Excellent Lux which has the most equipment and comfort. You can only get paddle shifts on the FR model which also has sports suspensions.
@@Lotus.F So on other trim levels, I’ll have to toggle my gear knob.
@@DaveDVideoMaker since this is not the Cupra line its not that fast anyway so its not really needed. You could get the 1.5 turbo FR which does have paddle shifts and quite nippy too.
What a cutie 💓
And not just the motor..
can the barefoot drive
Looks nice but for 25k i would Leon FR
"Everything is very clean and aesthetically pleasing" - the same could be said of the presenter! 😀😁😈
Visually, a typically bad facelift featuring change for change sake. The round elements outside and in are no improvement, they clash with the angular shape. Added to which it's too expensive, despite being a good drive. There's no way it's worth 5-10k more than a Dacia Stepway.
Nice 👍
Whoa...whoa...whoa...no centre arm rest???!!, 3.15.......is this a Monday Morning Design?
Bought Arona tgi fr (cng)
Amazing! Enjoy!
Une beauté fatale habillé comme ça !! Bisous
It’s a crossover and therefore it’s un cool.
💚👏👏👏
Its a lot of money for a top spec car with no center armrest or usb in the back.
I agree
Hi you have very sweet n lovely voice ❤
Cool car
I’m afraid it’s not cool from my POV, cos it’s a small crossover.
You don't like the car it look pretty cool to me no matter what size it is
@@phyllissmith6965 I like the car; I just think subcompact crossovers are uncool.
That not uncool
Thanks for watching! It does look great 😊
Am i the only one who wants to put a C in front of Arona ?????
Hahahha I know what you mean!
Please sound exhaust test
It’s not a high performance car, so testing the exhaust on this car is pointless.
it is true mrs thanks
@@omidhiadari4220 I’m a male, not a female.
But no problem.
@@DaveDVideoMaker sorry
This thing is tiny. Just buy a Hatchback or Estate.
For the money noooo
Seccond
Congratulations on your negative result
@@AutoSocialUK :)))
Very bad
That front is awful
