I know they won't do it but I'd love if they film Dumbledore screaming "DID YOU PUT YOUR NAME IN THE GOBLET OF FIRE, HARRY?!" and releasing it as a teaser for the episode and have the scene in the episode be done properly
The biggest thing that needs to happen in episode 4 of this season is Dumbledore asking *C A L M L Y* to Harry if he put his name in the Goblet of Fire
The attack at the QWC needs to be disturbing. The children floating, the hanging upside down of Mrs. Robert's. I want to see how evil the death eaters are
I ABSOLUTELY WANT TO SEE THE WC FINAL! I remember rewinding my cd several times and thinking my cd was broken for not having any quidditch. As a kid I was SOOO disappointed, I just want to see it
Personally I believe that all late hogwarts students should appear as soon as they arrive to hogwarts. Maybe dont have them be significant or speak any lines but show them
Making Snape a suspect but in the end him not being the culprit in all of the mysteries of the books would be amazing. And it would end with him being a suspect in Half Blood Prince and then actually being the culprit and killing Dumbeldore.
The reason Goblet of Fire is better than 5 and 7 is that it had events. It has tasks as big things for Harry to look forward to or dread, which makes it much more interesting and makes you wanna read more. (Also why Order is much more slow since it just drags on with ups and downs) I think this can mix very well with the mysteries in each season and the everyday Hogwarts life
Second last episode should end with Harry and Cedric disappearing and it can have a post credit scene just focusing on Tom’s grave. Then the last episode plays out from there, titled “Flesh Blood and Bone.” That chapter title always gives me chills and it can be a great catching finale title. I think it’s also better than “Priori Incantatem” like the next chapter because that just feels like “Okay viewers, today we’re going to learn about a new magical term: Priori Incantatem. It’s a rare effect when two sibling wands are pitted against each other.” “Oh yeah, the brother wands!” “Nope it’s sibling wands now, it’s 2034 so we gotta be inclusive”
The last episode should be able to handle everything. But if they really had to, they could end the previous with Cedric’s death but that gets rid of the cliffhanger in the books. I like the idea of Cedric dying almost immediately like the chapter to show how sudden it is. It’s always funny how the previous chapter ends with “The power of friendship!” And then immediately after they apparate Cedric dies two pages later. (To be clear, I haven’t finished this video yet, but I bet you did something like it!)
I’m glad that your TV adaptation keeps Dobby giving the Gillyweed to Harry. I hope that’s how it goes down in the TV Show, as Harry and Dobby’s friendship is really interesting. It says a lot about both characters, that Dobby will take quite extreme measures to keep a wizard (albeit a famous one) safe in Chamber Of Secrets despite having never met him, and his loyalty continues throughout the books, whereas Harry grows to understand why Dobby left him physically and mentally scarred through the rogue Bludger and stopping the letters from his friends, even if he understandably takes issue with his methods, and his empathy sees him give Dobby freedom through the socks in the diary. It’s a shame that the movies only had Dobby in two of the films.
Im with you on the flash back... but nope dont show Merope.. show Tom Riddle Sr. death but the back story I think should be saved for HBP cause its wanting to learn more and we get to see the character again and how he got to that point
When the books get bigger, the corresponding Seasons do need to increase the episode count up to 10/12. Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy sometimes had episodes that were substantially longer than the usual episodes too. Perhaps the pivotal moments can be the longer episodes instead, however, The Walking Dead split their Seasons later but released them in the same year (Breaking Bad in its final Season too). Could Harry Potter follow a similar formula? As for the Yule Ball, here's hoping they can find twins to play the Patils - AND for Padma to be admitted into Ravenclaw! Heck, cast them both from the beginning, especially for the Sorting Hat scene. I may have mentioned this before but, names of characters, places and items need to be pronounced correctly to set it apart from the films. Beauxbatons, the Pensieve, Voldemort, Lupin, etc. This Season could also be a foreshadowing for Bill meeting Fleur.
I'd like to see a scene the night Voldemort returns, after the scene in the hospital wing where Dumbledore is preparing everyone for the upcoming war, of Snape going to Voldemort to begin the act of triple agent. It would be very clear that he's too late- the mark summoned everyone hours ago and all the death eaters are gone, having began their preparations for the upcoming war- Voldemort is angry and skeptical. Finally he asks, "What would you be willing to do to prove to me your loyalty?" To which Snape responds an ominous, "Anything," ending the scene. It would kind of be like an early Spinner's End, leading to more ambiguity about Snape's character, and establishes the idea of the double agent (maybe for one side, maybe for the other) from the beginning. We would never see Dumbledore give the order for him to go, but it is after he deploys him, McGonagall, , and other order members to begin preparations, making his true motives unclear.
A 12th episode would allow more details to be given the time they need. Apologies if you mentioned them and I missed it, one example that springs to mind is Professor Grubbly Plank taking over Hagrid's classes, and Harry's attempts to get Hagrid to come out of his hut.
The second half of “The Egg And The Eye” is one of my favorite parts of all seven novels… They didn’t include it in the film adaptation; now, you’ve excluded it from your TV season plan, lol. Does anyone else really **want** to see Harry get stuck in the trick step!?

Ep 10 ends with Harry bringing Cedric's body back and the band starts playing And it ends there... or maybe it ends with him summoninging the cup portkey and it fades to black. And ep 11 starts with him landing back at hogwarts with Cedric and the band starts playing. Also... it's important that Dumbledore asks Harry calmly if he put his name in the goblet of fire 😉 Can't wait for the next one! You did a great job putting this together. Why on Earth would they split this book into two seasons? There is more than enough time to faithfully adapt this book in 8-10 hours of television. Besides, isn’t their plan to do 7 seasons (1 season per book) across 10 years?

i don't think they should splt any of the books into multiple seasons if we were to split the book into parts to include all the details, that could have been done by splitting the movies as well, there would have been no need for a TV show Also, we've seen the problem with splitting the books, Deathly Hallows Part 1 was boring and is arguably the worst of the films, we don't need it to happen again
No more pointless little dance moments between Harry and Hermione! I'm sure Steve Kloves was trying to get them together over Ron. He did Ron dirty throughout the film series!
It would be cool if the first episode switched back and forth between Frank and Harry so we can move slowly but not drag on. Then we can get Harry in the first episode but only make it to the Weasleys.

Imagine if they did 7 episodes for the shorter seasons and 13 for the longer ones because they’re the two magic numbers in Harry Potter.

I initially started with more episodes - around 15, but I found allowing for 10-12 longer episodes worked better, at least for this book.
