  • This is the Brisbane Boys' College entry to the song competition Hands Across Australia run by Generation One. Please vote for this song at songs.generatio... from Monday 3rd October. Here is some more information about our entry and Indigenous Program:
Since 2006 and the inception of the Indigenous Trust, BBC have consistently enrolled students to ensure longevity of the Indigenous Education Program. We combat indigenous disparity by providing an optimum learning environment for our Indigenous students. BBC is a loving and supporting environment that offers success for every indigenous boy by providing supportive structures to ensure continued academic excellence and retention of our indigenous students. Their education at BBC prepares them for the future. As reiterated by Marley Ahmat, who from Weipa and currently boarding at BBC:
BBC addresses indigenous disparity by providing specialised education for its indigenous students and celebrating the unique indigenous culture of all the boys. At the end of our time here we still have this strong cultural connection but we are educated and ready to take on the world. We are deadly, proud, indigenous men capable of anything; role-models to the little ones.
