(18 May 1975) Cup holders Warrington took on another northern side, Widnes, in the Rugby League Cup Final. ® Before the match Widnes were thought to be the under dogs but they proved this was wrong by winning 14 points to 7. ® HRH Princess Alexandra presented the Challenge Cup to the triumphant Widnes skipper, Doug Laughton.
