Referring to Polish history..... a Polish work colleague showed me a flip-book of the Polish borders since medieval times. Very thought provoking and showed how the UK had benefitted hugely by being an island and much less susceptible to invasions, and how comparatively simple UK history has been.
thank you that you liked and understood the difficult history of my country so much. it's cool that you have your own conclusions. I don't know, I don't feel that you are able to feel at least some of what the Poles experienced, but thank you very much for your interest. it means a lot to me. :) regards :)
I have to correct you slightly. Gdańsk was not rebuilt by Soviets. Poland was not part of Soviet Union. It was rebuilt by Polish people under communist regime. It is also not exact replica. German influences were replaced with Dutch.
Thanks Don, apologies if we got it wrong, there's so much fascinating history in Poland, we were bound to mix it up somewhere! We're just so glad we got to visit this beautiful country and share a bit of the history and culture Poland has to offer! ❤👍

Actually, Gdansk and many Polish cities (i.e. Warsaw) wasn't rebuild as a bait for tourist. Reconstructions had been undertaken to maintain our national pride and to save architectural gems of Polish long history. It was just typical tidying up and cleaning after our uninvited guests. But now it works for visitors very well.
You guys are starting to get some sun! Ha ha. Great video. We dig the free camping by the lake. Another great find for you guys and great info for viewers.
Wow, what a beautiful country. Not one I have ever thought about visiting as I have alway envisaged a country full of poverty due to lots of emigration. Certainly opened my eyes and a place for a future visit...... Fantastic video.....thanks for sharing.....
Hi folks, really enjoying your Baltic adventures, quite an eye opener for me who had weird ideas of what these countries might look like 🤦🏼♀️ Such wonderful architecture, especially Gdańsk. My burning question though sadly is your chairs, we’re on the hunt and they looked very comfortable, would love to know what make/model they are. Can’t wait for the next instalment! 😊
Joan! Hello! Thank you for loving our vids, it's been an epic trip so far. Our chairs - we are happy to tell you they are Vango Titan II, which we bought online. Super comfortable, super strong and come with their own carry bag too. Highly recommended! 👋❤👍
Shame you didn't have time to go to Łeba, Hel or Malbork ( largest brick built castle in Europe) so many beautiful places to see. Maybe next time I can be your guide I live in Gdynia 😁 safe journey's 🚌
Thank you Jacek! We are returning to Poland soon, and hope to visit more places in Mazry, we will look up your suggestion and hopefully we can stay there! ❤️👍🏻
Well, that's true that Gdańsk was heavily bombed in 1945 and rebuilt after war but it's still not the replica of the pre-war city. There are lots of original walls and even some interiors (for example the magnificent Red Room of the Town Hall)
Poland is an example of how Eurosceptics are wrong. How this country has developed over the last 10 years is simply amazing. Of course, Poland is not an ideal country yet, it is not as well-kept and developed as the countries of Western Europe, but with each subsequent year, with each subsequent decade, it will only get better. I hope there will be no war and that the European Union will not collapse.
Well said Dave, it's a beautiful place, filled with ambitious and determined people, who are keen to create a new and exciting history for Poland! We loved our time there and can't wait to come back! 👏❤👍
Dave Kowal German companies are the main beneficiaries of European funds in Poland. Without stupid regulations and excessive bureaucracy caused by the EU, Poland would develop even more. Poles are one of the hardest working nations in the world (7th place in the ranking) and one of the best educated and creative .
Guys you should check Slowinski national park there are beautiful dunes white like a snow man when you see them you gonna feel like you are somewhere in different universe
☝️Did you know that Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit was born in Gdansk? About Poles, 38 million in Poland, plus 20 million around the world, I am one of them. I was born in southern Poland but I live in the UK, near B'ham. Not just MGM in USA but also Warner Brothers, Max Factor, Helena Rubinstein (currently L'Oreal Group), Steve Wozniak - cofunder of Apple... Something else, Joseph Conrad, TESCO, Marks & Spencer, Kangol, Henri Lloyd - british brands but if you gonna dig deeper, then you will find out what I mean exactly. ☝️😉 P.S. What a shame you had no chance to visit Slowinski National Park and bigest castle in Malbork, maybe next time...👍👍
Thank you PB! It was a fascinating trip, and we are just amazed at the history and culture we found, and loved, in Poland - it is incredible the contribution Poland has made to the modern world, we freely admit to not knowing how important this nation is, and now we are fully aware and educated! We are coming back through Poland again soon, so hopefully we can pick up on your tips! 🇵🇱❤👍
@@nextstopevwhere Sorry, my mistake. I wrote to you yesterday, that you had no chance to visit Bledowska Desert, but it should be Slowinski National Park, with beautiful moving sandy dunes on the polish Baltic coast, lokated between Rowy and Leba, 100 km from Gdynia. Bledowska Desert is lokated in southern Poland, between Krakow and Katowice. Basically you can skip this place. It is nice, but not such a spectakular like Slowinski National Park. My fault but I already have corrected my previous post. As I mentioned before, mayby next time... Slowinski National Park: ruclips.net/video/xgIyJnPBrhE/видео.html

Nice video! I live here and you captured some great spots. Same you couldn’t visit Kaliningrad, it’s good to see.
Love the look of their Lake district and that free place to stay is awesome, wish we could have stuff like that here!

Great video! Respect! You're using original Polish names (Eg. Łódź not Lodz). You are telling about our history! Cheers from Wejherowo! :D

since the 10th century Poland belongs to the sphere of (western) European culture and eleven centuries later it's still there - here is your answer
