Talk about a great soap twist. First it was Alan's, then it was Rick's, then it was Alan's. Does anyone remember when that birthmark showed up? I remember me and my friends screaming, "It's not Rick's, it's Alan's, it's Alan's!" Pure genius.
I recall as a 10 year old when Monica discovered the birthmark on AJ then she watches Alan while combing his hair lifting his arm and seeing that very same birthmark on him. Talk about a cold reality check. Im sorry i cant recall the date of the episode. I was only 10 at the time.
@@terrondt I remember Monica seeing the birthmark on the baby's arm and instantly have flash backs of a shirtless Alan doing stretches and exercises with the birthmark showing in his inner upper arm, and me and my best friend went positively nuts!
I don't care if Rick Webber is a jerk. Chris Robinson brought so much dimension to this character and his chemistry with Leslie, Monica and Alan are undeniable. These were the good old days of GH.
I recall in the late 1980's Chris and Denise were on "Another World" as Jason Frame (who was a minor villain) and Mary McKinnon and they had somewhat of an antagonistic relationship.
Love that Lesley laid it out for him. I think this was the first step in her independence. The part about trying to make him understand that while she was dying inside because she couldn’t give him the baby that they both wanted so badly, he knew that another woman was in fact carrying his child 💔 DA is sooooo good!
I'd venture to say Chris Robinson and Stuart Damon were the best actors to ever grace GH The best actresses were Denise Alexander and Leslie Charleson, Robin Mattson and Vanessa Marcil
Rick was adamant about wanting to save his marraige, but quickly changed his attitude. I wonder if Lesley didn't make him move out, if he would've stayed with her. Granted, I don't blame Lesley for wanting a separation, but I think once he left the house, it was easier for him to move ahead.
Rick was such a jerk. I wish he had married monica and they would have got what they both deserve. I hated they way he & monica saw Leslie. monica always tried to belittle her of lacking excitement & passion in bed. Later after the truth came out about monica lying about the paternity and Leslie & Allan had moved on with their lives, rick & monica talked about how their lives had become and rick nailed it on the head when he said they turned out to be the LOSERS in that whole sad affair. Leslie had started dating different men & I believe Allan had started to fall in love with Susan. It's funny how much monica kept claiming to hate Allan but the second he stopped obsessing & desiring her and became enamored with Susan she changed her tune & that's why she kept trying to hurt him. Cause he no longer wanted her.
Lesley was a saint to eventually forgive Rick his adultery with Monica, as well as taking care of Laura and Amy. Rick was almost as selfish as Monica was. If Rick and Monica had married, they would have gotten bored and sought out others for comfort--their relationship was exciting to them because it was "forbidden".
@jasoncarly - There's actually a scene before this one that takes place in their bedroom the day after AJ's birth. We are still on the hunt for it. If we are lucky enough to find it, we'll post it for everyone!!
I was going thru old DVDs I have of Alan and Monica. I believe I have this scene in the bedroom. I know this is 10 years later but if you are stilling looking for it I have it. Not the greatest quality and I would need help with any uploading for you.
Rick always said he wanted a son. Monica's son was going to raised a Quartermaine not as a Webber. It was like a slap to Rick to say he wasn't going to be able to claim his son. Claiming his son is why he asked Lesley for a divorce and was going to marry Monica. Hopefully that helps to explain it to you.
ok she tells him to be careful not to let anyone see him looking at the baby like he is bound to sooner or later. Why does he say he could hate her for that? I don't get that. What am I missing?
@robinbelcich It just seemed not to make sense because she said, " go to the hospital and claim her and your son and live happily every after. Then she tells him to be careful how he looks at the baby. I just didn't see how his statement fits in this small piece of conversation. She didn't say he couldn't be with his son. Just weird So, Robin, you kind of explain it and kind of don't LOL I am loving these old scenes!!!

He always seemed to play a "jerk" on the westerns.
No doubt Chris Robinson did really well in his role as Rick but as a immoral slimeball

Even better that Alan was the father with that less than 1% chance he possibly could be.
God I love Lesley. This takes me right back to 8th grade!
Rick changed his mind so damn fast: I love Monica, no I love Lesley...no...wait...
Yup.Jeff was the same way
There's no way Michael Gregory could've done that scene and portrayed the intensity of it in any believable way.

Yep. I totally agree. That happened to me and my "ex". 🙄

The second Rick Webber was so beautiful.

Jennifer
facetious about claiming Monica and the baby and living happily ever after!
Rick sure likes 3 month trial periods
My take on that particular statmen is she's being facetious.
Ok
@myRLpeeps Definately right!
@myRLpeeps ok, I'll by that.
