Thank you for making this! Killua is probably one of my favourite character. Not only he is badass & analytical in his fights, he is not cold-hearted at all. He is actually very humane. He was such a good friend to Gon, going through all the hardships for him. He was also willing to protect Alluka/Nanika, & I swear it tore me up whenever I see Killua cry. Definitely, Killua is an interesting character.
@@samaritan29 Honestly, I heard this whole "I hate Alluka, she split up Gon and Killua" shit is childish. Alluka is still important to Killua, they are siblings. And you had not gotten the CA arc in your head. If anything, Gon and Killua had to split up as their friendship had been shaky. Killua has always been following Gon because he has no goals, nothing that he wants to do. And it's not like they are gonna split up forever. The manga takes damn long to update due to hiatuses but I doubt the writer will leave it with them not reuniting, along with Kurapika and Leorio. Lastly, Nanika healed Gon. Without Alluka/Nanika, he would have still been in that hospital bed. Ya'all are just mad cause your KilluGon ship split up, so you had to blame it all on Alluka. If you haven't gotten the fact that HxH does things differently, then you don't deserve the greatness of this series.
@@arentreal8401 Naa, I think they just want to be quite ahead in the manga before hitting the anime again. Another good move would be to animate in advance, let's say 20 or 40 episodes in advance and then release 1 a week to have enough time for the rest of the anime. This way when they announce hxh release, the animation quality would be really good.

I really like their friendship. I'm finding an anime like hxh, but I found nothing. So hxh is unique. I can't get over it. Whenever I feel bored, I'm watching it again and again. Do you know why? Because, this anime never failed to impress me and never get me tired of watching it over and over again.
I think this is my favorite Killua focused AMV. This song embodies his struggle thought the entire anime so well. He thinks he cam take anything life throws at him, he is willing to sacrifice anything for Gon, but he can only go so far. It leads back to the way Gon and Killua's relationship functions. Killua relies on Gon to keep himself sane, Gon relies on Killua to keep himself contained. Gon is Killua's rock, and Killua is Gon's damage control. Its when this balance is destroyed that Killua takes the brute of the damage...emotional wounds, if they heal, take much longer than any physical injuries. We see this especially with the Chimera Ant arc. Killua isn't there to hold Gon back in a crucial moment and now has to deal with survivors guilt and anger toward his friend. He can't take the mental burden of cleaning up after Gon anymore. He's only human.
It didn't technically end, the anime was said to be returning in 2020 but due to the pandemic it wasn't possible, people say there are chances that it might return in 2021 and the studio that works on hxh has already started working on the anime, even the unreleased parts of the manga. I got this info from reddit and stuff, I don't know if it's gonna happen anytime soon but I guess it wouldn't hurt to get my hopes up, and I've gotten immune to getting my heart broken if the anime doesn't return so-

Honestly, HxH is the first show that made me like a character other than the MC. It adds an equal level to all most characters in the anime which makes you like them all. Really good job.

This summed up the whole friendship of KilluaGon. I believe we all agree that one of the things that make HxH a masterpiece is how it depicts and portrays relationship. Gon saves Killua and makes Killua a better person than just a killer, vice versa Killua does literally everything for Gon because Gon is his first friend AND boyfriend, the one that changes him for the better. If it were any other Shonen series a bond that strong will just be the ultimate ending and will be used for "my friendship is my power" bullshit that has been so overused for years. But Togashi manages to portray how a bond this strong is, at the same time, just as fragile and toxic. Especially when both characters involved are not even mature enough emotionally. Realistically speaking, the dependency toward each other is actually toxic, it prevents them from "growing up" individually...thus the outcome of their friendship results to both Killua and Gon to learn it the hard way; Gon, because of his bright nature toward friendship that can make friend easily, take this "friendship" with Killua for granted when blinded with rage. Killua, that feels both betrayed and disappointed by himself for not being able to stop Gon from destroying himself in many ways. All in all, I commend Togashi for making them separate. They're still friends, but things won't be the same anymore. They both need to grow up first, see the world & their problems with their own eyes separately without being influenced by the other before they can meet up again.
Ira Jule well said I think their relationship is done masterfully it really shows the two sides that balance each other out well and just reminds a lot of people of those childhood friends that have gone their separate ways in the end to do what’s best for them and for killua it took meeting gon to figure that out which is why ging says to enjoy the side journeys

I don't know how many people realise this but for Killua, Gon is everything. He is willing to do anything to be near Gon, to see him smile. What they have is more than friendship and no one can say otherwise. I don't know if it's healthy or not, I don't know, but I know that Gon means the world to him and if he can be happy with Gon near him, then, I just really wish for them to be together. Never have I ever been touched so beautifully by any AMV I have ever watched. This is the epitome of how Killua felt towards Gon. This AMV shows the struggles of how Killua tried to keep Gon as a friend. How much he tried to help him. This is a masterpiece, many people use the term masterpiece, but I use it sincerely with all the feels I give. By far this is the best AMV I have ever watched in RUclips. Incredible.
I have no words to express how much Killua gets to me. His love and devotion to Gon is off the charts, He'll do anything to save him. He comes off as cold to some people, but he's an angel I swear, and he's that character that has me in tears all the time. He's an exceptional characters in HxH I think. This is honestly the best friendship throughout all of Anime. Even after Gon started to throw him out of the picture in order to achieve justice for Kite, Killua still stood next to him and protected him and bled with him. Killua is Loyalty at its finest. There’s no better protecter, no better character, no better loyalty, no better human.
It's heartbreaking how mature Killua is at this young age. He has gone through so much already. Then he finds Gon, his "light", and ends up having to go through so much more because of him 😭😭😭

_____ Chloe because killua is wiser and also wasn’t emotionally attached to the people he has killed. gon was a child who thought he had killed the only father figure he ever had and a man he idolised, that believed there was a way to fix it and when it turned out there wasn’t any, collapsed and started blaming himself. y’all acting like killua was the only one suffering. gon, differently to killua, has self worth issues, he doesn’t value his own life (we can see it in the moment when he says to killua that he’s allowed to risk his life for others, and killua isn’t) and abandonment issues, he suffered a whole lot more than killua. on top of that he believed that what he was gonna do would hurt killua, so he told him the infamous line “since it means nothing to you”, he didn’t want other people precious to him to get hurt. gon’s selfish and a kid, but he really cares about the ones close to him with his whole heart. also he didn’t “give up” at all. at the end, while he’s about to give his final punch and die, he hears killua’s voice calling him, he turns around and that’s the moment when he decides he’s not giving up, gon in that moment survived because he saw killua, and he remembered there was something worth living for, someone else worth living for (which he forgot existed, while drowning in pain and regret)

If this shred your heart into pieces like mine then maybe this might help Just my thoughts on their friendship, and why it ended the way it did...I honestly felt much better after writing it all down It's that I can't stop crying over these two. Killua developed this deep care for Gon, and it's honestly beautiful. He states multiple times that he will protect Gon AT ALL COST, and does everything in his power to keep that promise...just remember how many time Killua carried an unconscious Gon to some save place, how many times he calmed him down (or *softly* beat him down) to prevent him from doing anything rushed and stupid. And yet, in the end - and that's what i think hurts the most - Gon doesn't want Killua to help him. Tells him the worst thing possible…that Killua wouldn't understand, wouldn’t care. Ouch. In the scene with Palm, where he breaks down in tears...claiming that he cannot make Gon feel better, that only Palm could… we can see how damn hurt Killua is by the thought of his friend viewing him as nothing but a "comrade in arms",,, sorry BUT HOW HEARTBREAKING WAS THAT SH*T???? It fvckin hurts... I love their friendship, let that be clear. It’s something so seemingly simple and beautiful that I think everyone of us would like to experience. Being the open soul he is, Gon accepted Killua in an instant, regardless of him being assassin, and all. He basically gave Killua everything he lacked. Killua, utterly starved for a friendship, finally found his light and purpose to live in Gon...thus his desire to protect Gon by all means. Their friendship is so pure and meaningful that it hurts my heart - in a good way. I'm truly happy for them. Still....I'm missing something. Gons care for Killua in the end? His gratitude? (Still waiting for him to introduce Killua to his dad, we were robbed) MAYBE A DAMN HUG OR SOMETHING WOULD DO? At least I think that a simple excuse doesn't do it...? I think the main reason why I feel frustrated is that there where so many situations, in which Killua didn't believe himself to be valuable to be Gons friend. So, of course I would’ve welcomed a nice speech from Gon about what a good friend Killua is, a confirmation that he is not only tool (and perhaps a hug, but aren’t we all just desperately waiting for that). As much as I love their friendship, I think that's where the blind spot lies. Truth be said, Killua puts far more effort into their relationship than Gon, for whom making friends is a natural, effortless thing. Gon - and we must take into consideration that they are still kids - doesn't realize Killuas constant worries to be a worthy friend, his constant efforts to protect and save him (which he surely does because he cares for Gon, but also in order to proove to himself that he is worth being his friend). And since Killuas love for Gon is unconditional, and he doesn't want his friend to feel like a burden, Gon probably won't ever know his efforts. I feel like that's what makes this whole thing seem so unfair. But it also shows what great of a friend Killua is... Not even ONCE did he brag about saving Gon, not even in the end. And still, it hurts... really wants me to roll him up in a blanket and feed him ice cream or something, he deserves all care in the world. Such a sweet, caring, incredibly strong human being. I think it’s important to understand why they parted ways in the end. One reason might be to give Killua space and time for his own, personal development. Killua still needs to discover "what he wants to do" because, unlike Gon, he never had an ultimate goal (remember their talk on Whale Island). I think Killua needs to find a light, a purpose in life, that isn't solely Gon, as harsh as that might sound. Putting Gon above himself did result in a lot of emotional pain, and it's time for him to find his merit as a person and real purpose in life. Going a separate way from Gon shows how he is starting to grow as a person. It does not mean that he values Gon any less, it just shows that he learned to value himself more! And, of course, another reason they part is so Killua finally gets to spend some time with Alluka - after all, she was locked up in the Zoldyck residence while Killua went on adventures with Gon...some sister brother time is long overdue. But Gon and Killua are still the best of friends. Always will be. And, OF DAMN COURSE, they will meet again. I asked myself, but if they meet again, why do they look so sad in the end? I don't think it's because Killua is still hurt by Gons actions, I think it just truly shows how much they mean to each other, how much they've gone trough, and how they're going to miss each other for the time they explore their individual paths. Which is beautiful and heartbreaking. Coming to an end with my rant, I’ve just got to include this beautiful quote from Alec’s Scattered Thoughts, from his video “Killua’s Journey to self-worth”, which is honestly beautiful and inspired me a lot: “Killua shows the overwhelming importance of self-worth, the indescribable value of human connection, and most of all - that even those who are utterly lost and devoid of anything, are capable of finding something in this world.” So, if you read all this you may now give yourself a lil pat on the shoulder, all there’s left from me to say is…that I don’t feel as sad anymore:)

And you had not gotten the CA arc in your head. If anything, Gon and Killua had to split up as their friendship had been shaky. Killua has always been following Gon because he has no goals, nothing that he wants to do. And it's not like they are gonna split up forever. The manga takes damn long to update due to hiatuses but I doubt the writer will leave it with them not reuniting, along with Kurapika and Leorio. Lastly, Nanika healed Gon. Without Alluka/Nanika, he would have still been in that hospital bed. Ya'all are just mad cause your KilluGon ship split up, so you had to blame it all on Alluka. If you haven't gotten the fact that HxH does things differently, then you don't deserve the greatness of this series.

Another good move would be to animate in advance, let's say 20 or 40 episodes in advance and then release 1 a week to have enough time for the rest of the anime.

I think this is my favorite Killua focused AMV. This song embodies his struggle thought the entire anime so well. He thinks he cam take anything life throws at him, he is willing to sacrifice anything for Gon, but he can only go so far. It leads back to the way Gon and Killua's relationship functions. Killua relies on Gon to keep himself sane, Gon relies on Killua to keep himself contained. Gon is Killua's rock, and Killua is Gon's damage control. Its when this balance is destroyed that Killua takes the brute of the damage...emotional wounds, if they heal, take much longer than any physical injuries. We see this especially with the Chimera Ant arc. Killua isn't there to hold Gon back in a crucial moment and now has to deal with survivors guilt and anger toward his friend. He can't take the mental burden of cleaning up after Gon anymore. He's only human.

It didn't technically end, the anime was said to be returning in 2020 but due to the pandemic it wasn't possible, people say there are chances that it might return in 2021 and the studio that works on hxh has already started working on the anime, even the unreleased parts of the manga. This summed up the whole friendship of KilluaGon. I believe we all agree that one of the things that make HxH a masterpiece is how it depicts and portrays relationship. Gon saves Killua and makes Killua a better person than just a killer, vice versa Killua does literally everything for Gon because Gon is his first friend AND boyfriend, the one that changes him for the better.
If it were any other Shonen series a bond that strong will just be the ultimate ending and will be used for "my friendship is my power" bullshit that has been so overused for years. But Togashi manages to portray how a bond this strong is, at the same time, just as fragile and toxic. Especially when both characters involved are not even mature enough emotionally. Realistically speaking, the dependency toward each other is actually toxic, it prevents them from "growing up" individually...thus the outcome of their friendship results to both Killua and Gon to learn it the hard way; Gon, because of his bright nature toward friendship that can make friend easily, take this "friendship" with Killua for granted when blinded with rage. Killua, that feels both betrayed and disappointed by himself for not being able to stop Gon from destroying himself in many ways.
All in all, I commend Togashi for making them separate. They're still friends, but things won't be the same anymore. They both need to grow up first, see the world & their problems with their own eyes separately without being influenced by the other before they can meet up again.
Ira Jule well said I think their relationship is done masterfully it really shows the two sides that balance each other out well and just reminds a lot of people of those childhood friends that have gone their separate ways in the end to do what’s best for them and for killua it took meeting gon to figure that out which is why ging says to enjoy the side journeys

I don't know how many people realise this but for Killua, Gon is everything. He is willing to do anything to be near Gon, to see him smile. What they have is more than friendship and no one can say otherwise. I don't know if it's healthy or not, I don't know, but I know that Gon means the world to him and if he can be happy with Gon near him, then, I just really wish for them to be together. Never have I ever been touched so beautifully by any AMV I have ever watched. This is the epitome of how Killua felt towards Gon. This AMV shows the struggles of how Killua tried to keep Gon as a friend. How much he tried to help him. This is a masterpiece, many people use the term masterpiece, but I use it sincerely with all the feels I give. By far this is the best AMV I have ever watched in RUclips. Incredible.
I have no words to express how much Killua gets to me. His love and devotion to Gon is off the charts, He'll do anything to save him. He comes off as cold to some people, but he's an angel I swear, and he's that character that has me in tears all the time. He's an exceptional characters in HxH I think. This is honestly the best friendship throughout all of Anime. Even after Gon started to throw him out of the picture in order to achieve justice for Kite, Killua still stood next to him and protected him and bled with him. Killua is Loyalty at its finest. There’s no better protecter, no better character, no better loyalty, no better human.

Just my thoughts on their friendship, and why it ended the way it did...I honestly felt much better after writing it all down
It's that I can't stop crying over these two. Killua developed this deep care for Gon, and it's honestly beautiful. He states multiple times that he will protect Gon AT ALL COST, and does everything in his power to keep that promise...just remember how many time Killua carried an unconscious Gon to some save place, how many times he calmed him down (or *softly* beat him down) to prevent him from doing anything rushed and stupid. And yet, in the end - and that's what i think hurts the most - Gon doesn't want Killua to help him. Tells him the worst thing possible…that Killua wouldn't understand, wouldn’t care. Ouch. In the scene with Palm, where he breaks down in tears...claiming that he cannot make Gon feel better, that only Palm could… we can see how damn hurt Killua is by the thought of his friend viewing him as nothing but a "comrade in arms",,, sorry BUT HOW HEARTBREAKING WAS THAT SH*T????

I love their friendship, let that be clear. It’s something so seemingly simple and beautiful that I think everyone of us would like to experience. Being the open soul he is, Gon accepted Killua in an instant, regardless of him being assassin, and all. He basically gave Killua everything he lacked. Killua, utterly starved for a friendship, finally found his light and purpose to live in Gon...thus his desire to protect Gon by all means. Their friendship is so pure and meaningful that it hurts my heart - in a good way. I'm truly happy for them. Still....I'm missing something. Gons care for Killua in the end? His gratitude? (Still waiting for him to introduce Killua to his dad, we were robbed) MAYBE A DAMN HUG OR SOMETHING WOULD DO? At least I think that a simple excuse doesn't do it...?
I think the main reason why I feel frustrated is that there where so many situations, in which Killua didn't believe himself to be valuable to be Gons friend. So, of course I would’ve welcomed a nice speech from Gon about what a good friend Killua is, a confirmation that he is not only tool (and perhaps a hug, but aren’t we all just desperately waiting for that). As much as I love their friendship, I think that's where the blind spot lies. Truth be said, Killua puts far more effort into their relationship than Gon, for whom making friends is a natural, effortless thing. Gon - and we must take into consideration that they are still kids - doesn't realize Killuas constant worries to be a worthy friend, his constant efforts to protect and save him (which he surely does because he cares for Gon, but also in order to proove to himself that he is worth being his friend). And since Killuas love for Gon is unconditional, and he doesn't want his friend to feel like a burden, Gon probably won't ever know his efforts. I feel like that's what makes this whole thing seem so unfair. But it also shows what great of a friend Killua is... Not even ONCE did he brag about saving Gon, not even in the end.
And still, it hurts... really wants me to roll him up in a blanket and feed him ice cream or something, he deserves all care in the world. Such a sweet, caring, incredibly strong human being.
I think it’s important to understand why they parted ways in the end. One reason might be to give Killua space and time for his own, personal development. Killua still needs to discover "what he wants to do" because, unlike Gon, he never had an ultimate goal (remember their talk on Whale Island). I think Killua needs to find a light, a purpose in life, that isn't solely Gon, as harsh as that might sound. Putting Gon above himself did result in a lot of emotional pain, and it's time for him to find his merit as a person and real purpose in life. Going a separate way from Gon shows how he is starting to grow as a person. It does not mean that he values Gon any less, it just shows that he learned to value himself more! And, of course, another reason they part is so Killua finally gets to spend some time with Alluka - after all, she was locked up in the Zoldyck residence while Killua went on adventures with Gon...some sister brother time is long overdue.
But Gon and Killua are still the best of friends. Always will be. And, OF DAMN COURSE, they will meet again. I asked myself, but if they meet again, why do they look so sad in the end? I don't think it's because Killua is still hurt by Gons actions, I think it just truly shows how much they mean to each other, how much they've gone trough, and how they're going to miss each other for the time they explore their individual paths. Which is beautiful and heartbreaking.
Coming to an end with my rant, I’ve just got to include this beautiful quote from Alec’s Scattered Thoughts, from his video “Killua’s Journey to self-worth”, which is honestly beautiful and inspired me a lot:
“Killua shows the overwhelming importance of self-worth, the indescribable value of human connection, and most of all - that even those who are utterly lost and devoid of anything, are capable of finding something in this world.”
So, if you read all this you may now give yourself a lil pat on the shoulder, all there’s left from me to say is…that I don’t feel as sad anymore:)
Fuck, that was so deep, Haven't re-watch the Chimera ant arc so I never notice these facts because I've only focus on Gon's rage of emotion when I first watch this. Thank you so much for sharing your thought and if I may, can I take this as a reference for the story I'm writing? I'm still far from Chimera ant arc, but your input really gave me many different emotional ideas of how I could write each of their emotions once I've come so far in my ff story (just another realization that I'm still far from becoming a good enough author who could portray emotions properly...)
And I don't really wanna rewatch Chimera ant arc TwT But I need to rewatch it to refresh my memory of what happened in the arc QwQ (cries in agony knowing what would happen next)

i remember watching this like 4-5 years ago, and i sobbed.
Remember killuas reaction when palm tells him that he's the one whom gon needs the most. To see him internalize this truth as the realization process starts to take hold that he is without doubt of great value to gon who cherishes there friendship had me so emotional. These two are so precious!
