We all, me included have been seduced away from righteousness. I don't say sin is a gift, but it is an important part of the process of SEEING righteousness. Sin gets us to see its causes, effects and destruction. Once we have the proper view of wisdom, after seeing the consequences of sin, we then know and actively engage in the hatred of it. When we put God in second place, the misery comes. I am living proof of it. A wretch who sinned MORE after being saved. After discipline and punishment (which I justly deserved and in hindsight see how it corrected me) it gets better. God who saved you through Jesus Christ, HAS to purify you. That takes trial, suffering, pain and tribulation. You see everything with clarity and with SUPER NATURAL WISDOM. It is better to have that ingrained in a child and your kids early on. It gives them God's mind and PROVES His wisdom is right. That is success. Hosea 4:6.....CJ
I am so grateful for being taken to the woodshed. I'm thankful our Lord chastens whom He loves. Yet, I remain in awe that a Holy and Righteous God would call a foolish and wicked sinner like me. I have been forgiven so much. Yes, we should work hard to ingrain this into our children early. His wisdom is always RIGHT!
