fun fact it used to be that you'd take the king to win but then people started announcing check so people wouldn't mess up and lose because they didn't see it and that developed into the rules around check
but it would be more fun to be able to make a sneak attack on the king. having to say "check" seems like the type of rule you would make for children :p

New idea: GUESS THE GM Basically a guess the elo but it's a game played by 2 GMs one of whom is revealed and Levy has to predict who the other player is based on the moves made. Edit: I see some valid criticism regarding the number of grandmasters and how it'll probably be very difficult to get a correct guess. Maybe this concept will only work for famous games played by the top GMs
I agree that you should be able to take the king, it's not like it would change anything for competitors who take the game seriously, and it makes the game more intuitive and arguably more fun for casual players
Gotham I just wanna say that I love all of your videos so much, and you inspired me to play chess since last March. This video of yours actually made me laugh out loud for minutes on end because of your reaction lol. Thanks for always giving all of us good laughs, instructional content, and reviewing games with us. I'm sure everyone here has learned so much from you

GOTHAAAM! Last month I played against a CHEATEER! I was 1450 and got DESTROYED. I believed he was a cheater so I reviewed the game and he played at an accuracy of 96!!! I reported him multiple times and today, a month later from my game, he still never got banned. He wins like 10 games in a row all at a 90+ accuracy and then loses a few where he plays normally. He literally plays like a 300 and makes 1 elo blunder. Not a surprise, he lost to a 300 once to the scholars mate! The reason nobody's reporting him is because he befriends his opponents during the game in the chat. He talks in a friendly way and explains his moves while playing. I believed he was legit for that reason but he then explained a move incorrectly which made me suspicious. He was like "i DoNt MiNd SaCkInG tHe QuEeN aNd LoSiNg MaTeRiAl aS i'M wInNiNg". Bro ended up playing a tactic that won him material. I then told him "you're cheating aren't you?", to which he rospended "nO i'M 2100 fIdE, tHiS iS mY sMuRf AcCoUnT". He's still free to this day and he's almost 1700. His username is Rockpaperscisoor and mine is JamilHassiba. Hope you can bring back justice.
its so awesome that gotham never clickbaits us
Yeah, right.
Never.
Never ever
Never ever ever.
Exactly!. Never
levy never fails to narrate a 600 elo chess game like its a professional csgo tournament, i love it
No replies? Lemme fix that
A solid point, and a good comparison.
“Crozo, which rhymes with Bozo”
Fellow csgo watcher?
cs2 now baby
When Levy tells us he quits, he never quits.
I know. I watch anyway.
Of course he does, he would never lie to us. It's just like how I quit smoking for the 18th time this month.
He quits, when there is no more rook left to sacrifice.
He did quit over the board tournaments.
You just need to know his clickbait language, to get the real title

Hell keep beating 580elo players rofl.
love this for him
Appreciate Benji wandering in at the 3:35 mark, taking one look at lidi18’s opening, and leaving in disgust
Nice

Poor fella was so disgusted by it he had to wear a medical cone to protect himself😂

We must make sure that these type of guys never quit chess
you can pay me 1 dollar per game, i am a solid 550 elo xD
That's what I love about 600 ELOs: I keep getting better, they stay at the same level.
I was 600elo 6 months ago and now I’m 1500 so .-.
As a these type of guy, i vow to never!

Thanks to RUclips for giving Levy a bag so he can leave Twitch and stream on their platform ❤

Levy i love so much when you get invested in beginner games, you end up giving the best advice in these videos.

I almost Blunder my Queen because of this Title D:

Well, with a thumbnail and title like that... this really is going to be a must-watch, I love this series
I felt like I was taken on an emotional and mental rollercoaster more than any movie or series had taken me with this one game.

@theMosayat Yeah its called Levy’s guide to inter-course. His wife whos taken it multiple times still suffers from the trauma.

12:06 Confirmation that Levy isn't human
Levy, at 10:14: "I hate white's next move"
Also Levy, at 10:31: "I don't hate this move"
10:14 he is talking about white pawn move, and 10:31 he is talking about the black knight move
This was just an emotional roller coaster.
Games like this always make me feel like a bloody genius.
My 10 elo brain was able to predict every blunder lol

The ending had me in stitches the way the video just abruptly ends.

He said "king to d8".
I'm crying gotham is quitting 😭😭😭 i hope he gets better soon

I like the reti opening and I do use it to transpose to other opens like the king's Indian or the stone wall or the English
